It's a small restaurant conveniently located inside the Win River Resort & Casino, with an assortment of offerings reminiscent of an abridged Denny's menu. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality and quantity of the food at a relatively inoffensive price. I can't say much on the atmosphere of the place--it's slightly secluded from the open floor of the casino, but you can still smell the cigarettes that the patrons smoke. Outside of that, it is clean and well-lit, albeit nondescript. It also isn't a large space, so seating can be limited. The service was very helpful and friendly, but the food did take a little longer to come out than I had expected, especially given we visited at a time where over half the restaurant was unoccupied. When the food did come out, it was great. The pancakes were bigger than my face, and it also came with two eggs and hash browns (for $15); everything my friends ordered looked really good as well. For drinks, they have a wide variety of cocktails, plain coffee, and some sodas. While I can't recommend specifically coming to this casino to try their food, it's actually a very solid and convenient option for those staying or playing in the hotel/casino already. read more

The only reason I'm in here in a casino in the morning is I'm meeting one of my corporate bosses whose up from LA. He flew directly into Redding from LAX and loves casinos. I guess this was better for me than to go to Las Vegas to meet him! We need to meet on some stuff and he figured he'd just stay here at the hotel of the casino. I don't normally come to casinos that aren't in Nevada. We meet up around 8am and talk about business and we sit down in Seasons for breakfast. Looking over the menu it seems pretty normal American food. I go for the Chicken fried steak with home fries and scrambled eggs. I ask for lots of gravy on everything including the potatoes. My boss orders the same. Service is pleasant and efficient with the coffee refills. It's not too long and our food arrives. Wow, that's some good looking Chicken Fried Steak! For those of you that don't know, Chicken Fried Steak, isn't chicken, but it's beef, usually a Swiss steak cut that's been tenderized. They call it chicken, cause it's FRIED like a chicken with a batter. Usually deep fried. We both thought the breakfast was scrumptious, this was some of the best gravy I've had, bit super gloppy but just think enough. There was so much food I couldn't finish and took my leftovers back to go. It was a good meeting and breakfast on the boss. I didn't ask if he won any money or not or if he lost ..... The food here is not as bad as the reviews may lead you to believe. The burger was good, not great, same for the fries. However, my bartender and server, Natalie, was very nice and easy to chat with, without it being forced. My only drawback is my burger was well-done, not medium-well... and it smells like smoke everywhere. That's somewhat expected but still sucks. They're open until well past midnight too. Save your money! We ordered calamari, Indian tacos and spilt a smashburger. The calamari was so rubbery you couldn't even eat it and some were over cooked and others under cooked. The Indian tacos weren't that great at all. The smashburger and fries....burger overcooked and fries weren't even hot when they came out. For being a Sunday night and only like 10 tables with 3 servers food should have been hot and we shouldn't have had to wait 30 minutes for our food. Oh and our appetizers came out with our meal. Since we were staying at Win-River Resort & Casino and checked into the hotel super late after hiking all day, we were exhausted and didn't want to drive anywhere else for dinner. We were just relieved that the hotel/casino had a restaurant that we could dine at on our first night here. Hence, we came to Seasons. I wasn't expecting much because casino food is never good unless you're in Vegas. But I did expect my salad to be edible. We were provided free fry bread to start with, which was a nice surprise and I did like the fry bread. My partner ordered the prime rib entree while I had the chicken chile verde soup and a California Fresh salad, which is basically similar to a cobb salad. My soup came out first and it was tasty, and I liked dipping the fry bread into the soup, which was nice. But the salad was not good at all. I didn't realize the lettuce would be all iceberg lettuce, which wasn't indicated in the description on the menu, so that was a red flag there. The chicken was dry and overcooked, the avocado was not soft as if it had been sitting in a fridge for hours, and the hardboiled egg tasted like it was cooked days ago. Yikes! I ate what I could and tossed in the towel for most of it because it was the opposite of California Fresh as its name claims. I'm glad that my partner liked his prime rib entrée though, which came with sautéed veggies and a baked potato. Even though our server was super friendly and social, it wasn't fast service. She was managing the entire dining area, so it took a while to get items. Seasons is also located in the casino and is the only option for dine-in service, so I'm sure this place gets busy. We stayed at the Win-River Resort and had dinner at Seasons. It was a Thursday evening and the restaurant wasn't full of patrons, but the 2 waitresses were very busy. We were seated right away, but it took a bit before the waitress got to us. She was friendly and apologetic for taking time to get to us. We were in no hurry The menu has quite a few options, and it seems you can order breakfast all day. Indian fry bread and butter is on the house and is fantastic. The chicken chile soup was delicious. I had the halibut with mashed potatoes and veggies in a hollandaise. It came out a little cold, but was good. Without the sauce though, the fish and veggies were a bit bland. Let's start by saying they have live music on weekends! This place is inside the Win River Casino! There is a bar in the center of the room and then the layout has the booths a level up and you can see everything! The guys playing in the live band and the bartender shaken up cocktails. I really enjoyed the ambiance here. I order a nice champagne cocktail and Steak! It was pretty good. Cooked to my liking and flavorful. The mashed potatoes that came with my steak were tasty. I enjoyed my cocktail also. One thing that stuck out to me though was there were a lot of new employees! How I know this because they were bring food out to the wrong tables! We had a lady try and give us a salad when we're were already having an appetizer. Then she went to another table and they said no also. Ekkk! Then the girl asks another girl where it should be delivered and she said she didn't know any table numbers. Wow noted! Which reminds me that we had an appetizer that was good too. It was busy. Totally understandable it was Sunday around noon. Then I get a call back yeppie when I saw the area code on my phone. It was a very nice Chef in charge that just came on to shift and saw a note with this information on it and he wanted to address it right away. That I thought was awesome because at the end of the day he is in the Back of the house and he easily could have waiting for the Front of House manger to deal with it! Thank you Chef. He was really apologetic and said that the server had run the card twice because she ran the wrong total the first time. So the card would only be charged once and the one transaction that was wrong will fall off.... Okay that's kind what I was thinking but it would have been so nice of the waitress to tell us that. Well at least the Chef was able to find that out and relay the message. This place is conveniently located within the Win-River Resort & Casino. The interior is designed in the typical casino style decor, along with an outdoor patio area. We came here a few times during our stay at the hotel. The bar is nice to relax at for a cocktail and socializing. Plenty of flat screen TV's are positioned around the lounge. The bartender was friendly and created a refreshing alcoholic beverage for me as we visited with family and friends. Joe K ordered an Indian Taco plate that didn't fulfill his expectations and was unable to finish it. The next morning we all met here for breakfast and unfortunately, experienced the same slow, dysfunctional service as many other previous Yelpers had mentioned in their reviews. While our waiter was pleasant, we started to realize that he was having a hard time getting our orders straight and would have to come back to ask what some of us had ordered again. Getting our food took way too long, because apparently, they were short handed in the kitchen. A few of us in our party started getting annoyed and wished we had gone to another restaurant. I ordered the "build your own omelet" with my choice of 3 items. My breakfast was good, but others weren't as impressed with their food. My nephew received his veggie skillet not only late, but the cook forgot to put eggs into his dish! If you want the short version here you go. Crappy restaurant, inside crappy casino covered in a veneer of fancy decor and flashy lights. Ended up at Elements because we were staying in the casinos rv park overnight on our way to Sacramento. We decided to at least checkout the casino since we were there. We saw they had happy hour at the time and went looking for the bar. Instead we find Elements, they tell us they have happy hour no problem and sit us. Our server was a nice guy and we ask about happy hour. He reassured us they had happy hour there no problem. I ordered an old fashioned and my girlfriend some wine. Server literally tells me they make the drinks very weak and if I wanted a double. I said NO let's just see how it is. Drink comes out it tastes horrible, can't quite put my finger on it. Tasted a bit like orange rind and there's was very muddled orange rind at the bottom. Server offers to remake it I say just bourbon, sugar and ice. We weren't even planning on eating at this time but since we were there we ordered some food. Calamari was meh, very heavily breaded, not the best by any mark, but not worst either. My club sandwich was actually surprisingly good. Food alone would be 3 stars, but the story continues. Second drink comes out with the food. Tastes off still, really bad but doesn't taste like rind anymore. I say it's fine, not really wanting to deal with it no anymore. Bartender clearly was no good or recipes suck. However I'm just dying to figure out what's wrong with it. Then it hits me, it's not bourbon, it's scotch or something else. I ask the bartender what liquor they used, he says makers mark. I love bourbon it's pretty much all I drink, that's not makers. Not only is that not makers, that's not bourbon. Whatever it's happy hour and drinks are supposed to be like $2.75 so I'll just drink my sugared scotch. Then bill comes, they charged me $14 for sugar scotch! I had 2 $7 charges, server says it's because they put 2 shots in it (remember me earlier declining this?) and it was makers which is their most premium liquor... I ask for the manager. Some lady with black hair comes, repeats the same thing server said. She said saw the bottle and it was makers. So either someone is lying or the casino is filling makers bottles with cheap well whiskey. Told me if I wanted they could check security footage to see what the bartender served... security footage... over $11.25??? Elements may find that to be worth more than their manager and security staffs time, but it's not worth mine. Gave her my card told her to go ahead and bill it. Did we spend the rest of the night drinking and playing slots as we had intended? No, went back to the rv to drink my real bourbon. Won't be stopping here anymore. read more

Located in the Win River casino in Redding is the Elements restaurant. This is a nice stop if you're needing a break from the gaming activities ( slots, card games,etc). The best part of the restaurant is the Indian fry bread that comes complimentary when you're dining. It's warm, delicious, and addicting. You can eat it plain, with butter and/ or honey. Honestly, by the time my dinner came I was no longer famished. It's just as well, because the meatloaf and potatoes were just ok. I made reservations for 4 (per the recommendation of the hostess when I called). We were celebrating my father and dear friends birthday's. I made the reservation for 11am. I thought it would be perfect because it was right in the middle of service (brunch serves until 2pm). Here's the breakdown; We were seated upon arrival. No one told us where to begin or get plates. No one told us who our server would be (who never arrived with the free mimosa's until 30 min later). She had 3-4 tables to serve as they were not busy AT ALL. We began where the omelette station guy told us to and of 7 to 8 chaffing warmers, NOT ONE HAD FOOD IN IT. NOT ONE! Reaching the end of that line the omelette guy says "yeah, they are bringing more food out in a minute". It was actually approx 10 to 15 minutes before everything was supposably replenished. At which point we still had not seen our server. We asked the hostess for her twice. I was mortified and felt taken advantage of after paying $200 for all of us. Oh, and the cakes I brought in the night before for the birthdays...asked for them as well because we had been done for so long and our "server" could not be found and maybe unaware we had them in the back. But the hostess is the one I left them with the night before. Who's running this place? Whoever it is should pop in on Sunday Brunch and see what's up! read more

Elements is hit-and-miss. Their best promotion and deal used to be their pasta bar. They had an amazing pasta cook. The guys they have now are good but often are out of supplies. the guy that used to have he was amazing he had personality he made the experience fun and he was a great chef. If I recall correctly he had like six kids, and always a smile on his face. I looked forward to those nights. Where Elements falls short is it they are almost always short-handed. The biggest complaint I hear is about service and yet the people that work there seem to be running around like crazy they are just handling too many tables at a time. I understand they do this because at times the restaurant is not as busy as they anticipated but better to be prepared for a large crowd and underprepared and a large crowd comes and doesn't want to come back. they do continue to decrease the number of dishes they serve and increase the prices. You can drop $10,000 in a day on the floor and still get maybe 15% discount on your food that is overpriced. Having a parent that owned a restaurant I understand there is a fine line between being profitable and not sacrificing customer service but it is possible. If you go for customer loyalty you will make the money up in the number of meals you serve and the satisfaction of those customers. if you scrimp on customer service you're not likely to get repeat customers or certainly not as often as they would eat there. The fact that most of the servers are brand-new when we eat there I am guessing that there is not a lot of employee satisfaction either which is at least as important as customer service because they are tied into one another. It seems obvious to me that they are underpaid and overworked and if that's not what it is then they really have a management problem. read more

Just got done eating here, and it deserves a 3.5, but more 3 than 4. It was pretty busy which I expected side there was a motorcycle or something show happening, plus it's Friday night. Just had a delicious meal with my 86 year old Mom at Win-River. My Mom had a Winfit steak with salad and veggies, I had the chicken Marsala with a baked potato, salad, and veggies. My husband had a prime rib dip sandwich and fries and our son had chicken strips and fries. We all really liked our meals and we were impressed by the friendly staff too. They came to refill our drinks and check on us frequently and it was really nice. Prices were very reasonable for the amount of food we got and we did need containers for the plates we couldn't finish. Our waitress Sarah was a great team member of their staff and suggested to go boxes and even reminded us to have fun when we played the slot machines. It was a fun afternoon, the staff really treating my elderly mom with kindness, holding the door for her as we walked into and out of the venue. The rice however was completely undercooked and over seasoned, and by over seasoned I mean you can't eat it because it had as much salt as the sea. Look, I would honestly give this place 3.5 stars, because I think that they are above average for sure, but nothing to write home about. I ordered an eight oz with wild rice and DH ordered a 12 oz with a baked potato. We wanted some steamed clams as an app. Drinks never came. We flagged down a waitress and she said she would remind our waiter. Never happened. I went and got our drinks myself. We never got any bread. We never got the steamer clams. We had to get our own drinks. At this point we wanted to see how badly this waiter would keep messing up so we didn't say anything. Probably wrong, I know. Don't judge me... Dinner came with cold congealed prime rib. Both 12 oz if not larger. And it was cold. Not even warm around the edges. Both orders has baked potato AND rice pilaf. The potatoes has a dollop of butter and sour cream. The butter never melted. Yup. The potatoes were not warm enough to melt the butter. Still no bread. No drinks. No clams. And also no salad. No offer of salad when we ordered. I forgot to mention that. When we realized we received cold plates I figured it was enough. I called our waiter over and started mentioning the issues. Very nice I must add. I'm not a confrontational person. I just mentioned, one by one, the problems. He said we never ordered drinks or steamer clams. I saw him write them down when we ordered so I asked him to please double check his pad. They were there. He used busy as an excuse. There were 3 other tables. That was it. I pointed that out. He went to get our bill. We hadn't eaten a bite of the food. A different waitress brought our bill. $57. I said that we would not pay that bill. I paid for the drinks when I went to the bar and got them and I had my receipt. She brought out the manager and I explained what was happening. She looked at our plates and apologized. Not sure what was going on. The kitchen should never send out cold food and as far as the waiter...... who knows. It turned out ok thanks to an understanding manager. We won't ever go back. The lettuce in both our salads was rotten, including the iceberg wedge. They didn't bring the dressing for the side salad at first, then brought the wrong dressing for the wedge and took at least 10 minutes to fix it (before I knocked off the bacon and discovered it was rotten). The kids' quesadilla was cold a soggy, at least the prime rib was pretty good, especially since we ended up just sharing that. We both ordered entrées. We never got the salads or bread. The bartender seemed to be consciously ignoring us. We finally got the attention of another server who brought us our main course which had obviously been ready for quite awhile (still no salad, bread or even silverware). Now we're staring at cold, coagulated food we can't eat because we have no silverware. Finally got utensils. Steak was tasteless. Cream sauce was skinned over from sitting so long. We have been going to elements for thanksgiving and Xmas for quite a while and today was a major disappointment!! Not only was over half the food that used to be served not there, the service was lousy. We actually went home for thanksgiving dinners. A lot of the items listed out front weren't there like the shrimp, clams, eggs Benedict. Only2 salad selections and had to pay extra for the beverages.. when we asked for a cup of coffee, they were going to charge for that when we could have gotten it free in lobby. Came in for an early Sunday dinner around 5:00 pm for our anniversary. The place was virtually empty. Asked our hostess for a seat by the windows and was told that we couldn't sit by the windows because she had to follow a rotation. Didn't argue but instead asked about the specials that were posted at the entrance (right in front of the hostess station). She didn't know anything about the specials and had to ask a passing waiter. Ordered the Sizzling Chicken special which was great food and a good deal for $7.77. Ordered a couple of glasses of champagne that took as long as the food to come out because the bar had run out and it had to be brought in from the back. This was a bartender issue and not the fault of our waiter, who was very apologetic. Same with there being no bread available. He said the last bread had just gone out and they were working on making more. Did I mention this place was virtually empty? He did run out with the bread in a to-go box as we were paying the bill though. So, 4 stars for the waiter, 4 stars for the good food and price. 1 star for the hostess and 1 star for the bar not being stocked. Will we eat there again, sure, but that's because we come to gamble and not the fine dining experience. Decent place but LOTS of room for improvement! read more

The biggest reason for loss of stars is the service here. I've ate here a handful of times now and it is the biggest flaw. They always seem to be understaffed even though it doesn't seem that busy. The food is decent and the price isn't bad. read more
