The prices were pretty high for someone like me, but I ended up finding a wonderful white silk shirt with light blue yoke with Red and dark blue appliques and long royal blue fringe, in my XL size on the clearance rack. The shirt was originally $300 and 66% off. $100 for a totally unique shirt that I have received so many compliments on every time I have worn it. I don't usually spend a lot of money on my clothes, but I am thinking I need to go back and get me another one of these over-the-top shirts. Makes me feel like Patsy Cline when I sing at an open Mic or play my fiddle at a jam.

This is a consignment store, not a Goodwill so the prices are definitely going to be higher although they do have a color-coded system for sale items. Everything in here fits within a 5000 square-foot space and they have lots of furniture and clothing of course (mostly women's). They also have oddball items like hot wheels, comic books, and baseball cards. If you don't wanna pay that new furniture price, they definitely have a great assortment of couches, chairs, and tables for about half retail. Plenty of jewelry on display as well. They do have three dressing rooms, but no public bathroom.

My understanding is that much of the gear is sold on consignment, much of the new stuff that they carry is purchased in bulk at a discount which they then pass on to you. For example I got a brand new REI Flash air pad, wide for $65. I got a brand new SmartWool base layer for $50. And their used gear is priced to move as well. The staff here are super helpful, patient, and will always point you in the right direction even if it's to another store. They clearly live the lifestyle of the products that they sell. I live about 2 and 1/2 hours away and if I call they will hold something until the weekend for me if it's what I'm looking for.

They have been pushing me away or ignoring me for over 3 months now for items sold in 2025. For the guys it's a good place to shop if you want to look casual cool WITHOUT the thrift-shop-sleaze and/or I'm-trying-too-hard factor. You can find jeans that your girlfriend will like, tees for every occasion, hoodies, blazers, hats, and even scarves if your beard is too weak to be a proper facejacket. The appropriately bearded owner Ryan is easygoing and equally helpful when I asked him to pick a few things to try on. When I shop without help I buy the same grey sweaters, black pencil skirts, and skinny jeans. My favorite piece that Ryan suggested is a bright chunky cable knit cardigan with rosette buttons. There's also an old dog (I think her name is Margo) who will accept your affection or contently ignore you, affordable prints from local artists, belt buckles, vegan handbags, maybe a little bit of footwear, a good selection of sale items, and a relaxed happy vibe.

I said, I don't mind you asking me how I'm doing and I don't mind telling you that but I do mind you asking me what my name is, if I wanted to share I would. Then they said "well, I'm just asking because if you purchased something, we do require your name for a receipt". So, I said " Ok. Thank you for letting me know your policy but I don't think I will shop here" and left. I wanted to buy locally but did not feel comfortable shopping there. By the way, there was nobody in the store and it appeared that the back room was dark; it just kind of gave me the creeps.

The apparel is unique, modern and high-end without breaking your budget. Also, they offer quite a bit of colorful pieces. It is so nice to see clothing in something other than black and taupe. On the minus side, most of their clothing seems to be mad of man-made fabrics. I prefer natural fibers such as cotton, wool, bamboo, etc., although they do carry some. The only reason I don't shop at Silk Road Connection more often is that I am retired and no longer need office apparel. What I would like to see more of is high-end casual clothing such as Cut Loose, Kleen, Heartstring, Gerties, or Tribal. In that case I would shop there at least weekly.
