This little thrift shop had some cute finds. There were dishes, chachkis, scarves, prints, and jewelry. The store was very clean and organized. Items were clearly priced. Staff were professional and nice. I thought prices were a little high, but it's for a good cause. read more

If you want us to restore that feels like a boutique come here to safe house. Somethings I would say a little bit more than I would want to spend but others are real finds. I really like this thrift store. I have to keep myself from going too often because I always find something worthwhile and end up spending more than I intend. The first time I went I found a Cuisinart pan originally priced around $70 for sale at this store for $25. Yesterday I found a 5 piece Kitchenaid pan set (originally $130) for $60. These two purchases were brand new and in their original packaging. This is the place to go to find quality items. The store is small and the selection is not as big as other stores. BUT, you will not find junk in this store. I've found some great items here that you would find at a consignment store. It's worth stopping by to see what treasures you will find. It's a bit pricey but it's quality stuff for a great cause. Well worth it in my opinion! read more

The selection is beautiful and tasteful - not to mention you are supporting an incredible local cause when shopping here. Well organized, clean, and reasonably priced. I was able to find a mountain of goods for myself and kids here. The location is accessible, and I left feeling like my time spent was worth it. The staff is extremely kind and helpful. The environment definitely earns it's fun name, thriftique', as it has a touch more upscale of feel in quality, a tiny bit fancier than your basic thrift store haha! But I am not judging - I love to thrift shop and support local in its many forms... Can't wait to visit again:) read more

This place has a very small selection, but I was able to find some expensive name brand items for under $10. The prices varied, but everything seemed to stay under $12. The woman working there was friendly, and overall the store was kept very nice and neat. I don't think I'd ever go back since the selection was scarce, but I'm happy with my experience shopping there. read more

What a great store! Yes, it may be "small" and sometimes the stock is down but the items move through quickly. Keep a sharp eye out for some great bargains! Most importantly, what is donated and/or sold to the SAFE House GOES to THE SAFE House support systems and care. Other thrift stores are managed by an intermediary, with only a % of the "profits" going back to the organization that they supposedly support. The Safehouse Thrift Store is run by Safehouse, a program designed to help victims of domestic violence and their families. A couple of weeks ago I went to Safehouse to donate some clothing that I was planning to donate to another very well known thrift store when a friend told me about the Safehouse Thrift Store. My friend said it's a wonderful place because you can donate clothing, household items, furniture, books, etc. while at the same time help people in need and their children. I had about 6 large bags of clothing and shoes which the staff helped me get into the store. I was given a receipt that I filled out with the value of my donation. With my purpose for going there complete it was time to shop. This place does not look like a thrift store. It looks like one of those cute boutiques you see around campus or Old Town (see pictures). The clothing selections (men & women) were current, well displayed, clean & pressed, and the prices don't get any better for the quality of the merchandise. There is no junk in this store. I purchased a piece of luggage and two outfits all for about $20.00!!! read more

I absolutely love this thrift store. They get new clothes with the tags still on them, and even the used things I am proud to buy and use in my home. They lovingly help people who are not victims, but survivors of domestic violence, so I give them all my gently used clothes and goods. read more

This store is well organized and neatly laid out. While the funds raised are for a good cause you should be careful about the prices. They ran a bit higher than you would expect from a Thrift store. There were a few good finds available but I also found several items priced at what you would pay retail. There were a few that were actually priced higher than retail. For instance some merchandise I've seen at dollar tree priced at $2.00 -$3.00 each. There were a few items from other retail stores with similar pricing differences. There was also a table with pairs of children's socks(the socks were attached to each other and could not be purchased individually) priced at .25¢ each. They were rung up at .25¢ each sock instead of each pair. I didn't notice until later in the evening. The staff was friendly and helpful. I do plan on returning although I will pay more attention to the prices and receipt. read more
