    $12 keiki burger and fries
    Shayna R.

The food was a bit pricey (tho to be expected at a fancy hotel pool!) but bearable considering you could eat on the empty beach and not have to worry about preparing food for the day. My daughter and I shared (ok she's 5 so I basically ate 1.75 meals myself!) (1) the $12 keiki burger ($2 extra for cheese) with lettuce, tomato, and a large serving of fries, and (2) $17 kalua pig quesadillas with fresh salsa, guacamole, greens, and dotted with sour cream and cojita cheese. Both items were delicious, and very filling. The server offered me ice cold water and updated me that the parking validation is provided with a $50 purchase since 2023. The entrees were ready in about 15 minutes and were delicious to eat on the beach while the kids took a quick break from building sandcastles. I loved our mini vacation at the beach and am lookin forward to try the other items on the menu!

We ordered the summer roll a salad with no blue cheese and my husband ordered a chicken sandwich. The summer roll was really good but it was just one for $16, and it was not large. After we ate the appetizer, another table of four came in next to us. They were seated, ordered, got their meal, paid and left ALL BEFORE WE RECEIVED OUR MEAL.. our UNDERCOOKED meal. During that time we were never once attended too. My salad had blue cheese on it so I couldn't eat half of it. The chicken salad was half uncooked and also couldn't be eaten. Very disappointed, especially when it's apart of a 5-star resort.

6-11-21 our orders of club sandwich, fish tacos and chicken sandwich disappeared in a flash. The chicken sandwich included veggies and a spicy sauce. The fries were excellent. The club sandwich looked really good cut into triangles and came with chips. The fish tacos were good as Little Sweetie's mom offered her a taste. Everything was good quality and perfectly prepared. Excellent for a poolside grill - tasty, juicy and highly recommended. When you purchase a certain dollar amount of food you can validate your parking ticket so it costs nothing additional to exit the parking structure.

Waited 40 mins for this mini nacho dish! The chips were from the bottom of the bag too. And it was $16!

Hubby, daughter and myself came here for an early dinner. We also needed to validate our parking. I guess if you spend over $25 at a restaurant, you can get your parking ticket validated. I think you get 4 hours free. Anyway, we were served waters. They have alcoholic drinks and nonalcoholic drinks. The menu was pretty limited but I decided to get the Seaside club sandwich that came with kettle chips even though it said Maui. It didn't have any flavor but they used plain kettle chips instead. My sandwich was actually pretty good because it was filled with turkey, lettuce, tomatoes, avocado and mayonnaise. So creamy and good. There was also bacon in my sandwich. Service was good. They guy kept refilling our waters. A major plus but I noticed the water tasted like tap water which I dislike but I drank it anyway. Hubby and daughter had the burger. I got to taste hubby's fries and it was pretty good. Crispy and light.

This is our second time at the seaside grill and we had a great experience again. Corey made sure we had the best food and beverages while dining here. Highly recommend to anyone who likes fine dining on the beach casual style. Definitely coming back for more! Mahalo Corey and the team!

*2.5* for the food, the service was awesome. We ate here twice during our staycation (room service and while at the beach). The food was just okay. The kalua pork nachos were the best thing we had, they give tons of toppings and the meat had good flavor. The fish tacos were huge! Although I thought was a bit too big, and it didn't have much flavor - I wish they gave more cabbage and toppings to help out the big piece of fish. We also tried the quesadilla which for some reason the bottoms of the tortilla was watery/wet? Even though we asked for the tomatoes on the side. It was convenient but I wouldn't dine here again.

My family and I did a staycation at the Kahala Resort for the first time a few weeks back to celebrate my mom's birthday. This is the poolside restaurant that serves drinks and food. We came here about 2 times during our stay. The first time we just got drinks. My sister ordered the pineapple vanilla mojito which was a whopping $19 in a fairly small plastic cup. This drink was such a letdown. It pretty much tasted like coconut water with a hint of pineapple. Definitely not worth the price. I would recommend their smoothies. I really liked their strawberry smoothie as it was creamy, refreshing, and $10 cheaper. The second time we came here was for lunch. My mom got the acai bowl which was served in a pineapple. The acai bowl was good; the base was a perfect consistency and the fruits were fresh and delicious. I love the aesthetics of the pineapple bowl. I got the kid's hotdog which was surprisingly a good portion and it came with fries. I would recommend ordering from the kid's menu if you want decent food and a decent price. My sister and dad shared the Kahala burger, which was very sad. The bottom bun was soggy and the burger itself was lackluster. The portion was quite small as well and definitely not worth the $22 price. I've had better burgers at so many other places. We didn't expect much of this place as it is just a poolside restaurant, but the quality of some of the menu items is very disappointing considering that this is considered a 5-star hotel. I would expect the food they serve to also be 5-star quality.

    Keiki wagyu burger combo $12

During stay at kahala resort went down to pool area walking around and found small snack bar by beach had dinner reservation in 3hours so I like to try small kind . Seat any open table because they weren't busy at this moment They have QR menu on every each table so I look at the menu without calling someone. After I decided called one of the server and ordered. I ordered -Mango madness(non alcohol beverages) Was super refreshing especially after long hour at the beach or pool. I don't know what they put in the drinks but taste very fresh . -keiki wagyu burger combo The wagyu pattie was kind of dry but what I can expect this is $12 combo! Fries were very crispy and good value for the price. Definitely go back here and grab some small stuff again!

Really beautiful setting for lunch and drinks at The Kahala Resort Hotel, the Seaside Grill. Located right on the beach, this little restaurant has a great menu for snacks, lunch and drinks on the beach! We ordered the swordfish sandwich and the veggie burger with iced teas and really was exceptional! Very fresh with a unique touch. The service is super friendly and accommodating. Our server, Mariah H. was a total sweetheart and catered to all our requests! Such a beautiful resort and this little gem beachside adds to the uniqueness of this property.

    "Braddah Daves" Taro Burger
    Li H.

No review or picture of the "Braddah Daves" Taro Burger so I feel the need to write a review. Definitely can taste the taro but not the grilled portobello mushroom. Perhaps the sauce overpowered the taste of the portobello mushroom, personally, I would have preferred the burger without sauce so I can enjoyed the "superfood" ingredients. Overall, for someone not vegan, a delicious vegan, NF, DF, & EF dish!

If you're looking for a nice spot to study and hang out with old friends, this is the place to be. Service was great~ If you want exceptional service and friendly talks about local attractions Kaitlyn, Mariah, and Sean were all knowledgeable and great. Even when it got a little chilly, they offered us towels to keep warm. Amazing~ Thank you Seaside Grill for making my Saturday a relaxing one

And how do I know that it's fresh? Because as we were at the restaurant, deliveries were being delivered nonstop. My kids devoured the salmon bowl with the salmon roe. My 8 year old's bowl was wiped clean. My 7 year old had only 2 slices of salmon and a few ikuras left. The 5 year old polished off her few pieces of salmon and roe along with her miso soup. And momma's Fukuju? Absolutely demolished. I should have ordered it with extra ikura because the quality and flavor that it provided to the bowl was something that I've never had before. I am usually not a fan of ikura, finding it too salty, but the ikura at Totoya was perfectly balanced. Second, the service was great. I had to give it to the lovely staff who were able to keep it all together when a party of 5 adults and 7 kids (aged between 5 to 11) rolled in, and of course the kids all chose to not sit with their respective parents. The food came fast and kept the peace of very hungry children. The place itself is a small little restaurant with just bar seating, no more than 16 seats, so definitely cozy. My friend sitting all the way on the other side of the bar said she could hear my conversation perfectly well, even though all the kids were loudly chatting. We will definitely be back the next time we make it out to Honolulu. Thanks to the restaurant again for providing such a memorable meal. It was all I could think about on the flight home because it was that good.

The crunchy garlic ahi was our favorite, great texture, super flavorful, and just really satisfying. The spicy salmon was also solid and hit the spot. Ray was extremely helpful in helping me correct an error I had made using the website to make our reservations and we were able to not only get reservations in the restaurant but in the speakeasy as well. Then there was Callie our waitress, she was bubbly, friendly, and very attentive. She created a warm and welcoming expereince for us and just that would make us come back. The food was SUPER ONO, at IYKYK we had the Midnight Musubi Arancini. I was hesitant to order it as I have had choke musubis over my lifetime and was thinking how different could these musubis be...? But, WOW, it was soooo good. The combination of ingredients filled each mouthful with a mixture of flavors that complimented each other. I would definitely order this again and encourage everyone to try it. We also had the Pork medallions and a kalua pig sampler, they too were delicious and our cocktails were very unique, delicious, and strong. We then moved from the speakeasy to the restaurant and we had the Pele's Pit Ribs and the Tsunami Burger for dinner. The ribs were very delicous, it was a dry rub so very clean and easy to eat with the fingers and the fried rice was tasty. My wife loved her burger and if you look at the pictures you can see why. The ambiance was VERY COOL. The deliberate and cohesive mix of dim red lighting, and comfortable lounging chairs totally created that speakeasy atmosphere. The restaurant portion was quaint, warm, and not too loud creating a good atmosphere for conversing. Overall we were very pleased to have come here, we will definitely come back and bring friends along too. As far as parking...its good. There is a metered parking lot behind the restaurant, no roof so your big 2500 4x4 boat hauler will easily park in it and there are clean male and female bathrooms in the restauant so you can drink and eat up.

However, I would say if you wanted "good" seating, I would recommend reserving a spot as we had to settle for the large shared table in the middle of the establishment, sitting between two different parties. The service was okay, nothing exceptional. We ordered: * Et Al Burger: 10/10, my friend ordered this and he said it was very good. The meat was done perfectly (medium rare) and the fries were a good pairing. * Chicken & Waffles: 10/10, my other friend ordered this and we all got to try a bite. The black sesame butter was perfection and amazing addition to the waffles and syrup. The chicken also came with like a Korean fried chicken syrup (kind of reminds me of zippys iykyk). * Short Rib Loco Moco: 8/10. I got this, it was okay, it was flavorful but the short rib / gravy flavor wasn't really appealing to me in that moment. I liked the fried onions which helped to break up the textures. * Soft-Shell Crab Benedict: 9/10. Another of my friends got this and I got to have a bite. I think this was pretty good and I liked all aspects of it (especially the side of hashbrowns hah). Our main critique was the small portion, as most people I've been that served benedict dishes would have two benedicts not just one. Overall, I would recommend this spot to others. I don't think I would personally come back though, as there weren't many items that sparked my interest (maybe besides the chicken & waffles, which I got to try already this time) and the price point/ portion don't particular draw me in.

3rd time here for lunch. Solid burger and risotto!…read more The cheeseburger & fries are truly delicious. The quality of the patty, the toppings are all working together and the housemade bun stood up. The fries are crispy and well seasoned. The mushroom risotto is usually terrific (today it was a touch gummy and over seasoned). The mushroom flavor is soooooo good! Had the short rib loco moco. It was pretty tasty. The menu said garlic rice but I couldn't taste any garlic flavor. We tried the bulgogi pizza and WoW it was yummy! The kim chi and sauce and cheese were such a good flavor combination. Usually the service is very attentive. Today was crazy busy with large parties. The big, bright dining area is very pleasant. We joined the waiting list and were 45 minutes to an quoted an hour & 1/2. Though I never got a text, we returned at the hour & 1/2 mark and there were lots of tables available. After such a massive lunch rush, I think the staff had a lot of catching up to do. After being sat, we waited a while for a server to take our order. Thankfully, the food came out in a reasonable fashion. Even with the service not being quite as good as usual, we still enjoy this restaurant.

They didn't rush us like most restaurants with their 90 minutes time limit. They brought out the food quickly and efficiently. Refilled our water and tea without us asking. We ordered pork hash, manapua, har gow, spring rolls, pickled cucumbers ($12.95) and a platter of char siu & duck. The dim sum was about $8/each, which I thought was very reasonable. My buddy really likes siao mai, and he said KSR has the best ones out of the places I have brought him to in HNL. On the other hand, the manapua was just okay: The ratio of meat to bao was low. I took char siu fr the platter and added it to the bao. We might have been better off skipping the baos and ordering a rice or noodle plate. The har gow and spring rolls were pretty good. The rolls arrived piping hot, and the har gow had a nice texture in the wrapper. Fourthly, the cucumber was fresh & crunchy, and had lots of garlic. I ate some with the char siu to cut thru the fat. Lastly, the char siu & duck platter was very good. They do a good job of putting some char on the bbq pork. The duck was tasty, but there were a couple of bony pieces. Regarding the ambiance, its big in here. Although they don't use carts, the aisles are wide. The servers were friendly & warm. I would def return for dim sum, but I also want to come for dinner. The food is very good, and the prices are reasonable.

To treat her, I took her to this spot since she saw it on tv in the morning and was craving for seafood boil. We got the 6 lb for the 2 of us, it's hella worth it. The seafood was really fresh, and the mix sauce in spicy was perfect. So good. We probably finished about 1/2 and my partner was about to face plant into the food. So we took the rest home. The service was amazing, the servers offered to open up the crab and lobster and they are pros. Didn't waste any parts and made it easier for us to enjoy. The ambience was loud but chill. We got a local lady sitting next to us and she naturally was loud. No complaints Caz we too busy mopping the seafood.
