I contacted Alpha in an attempt to negotiate some sort of refund, be it all or partial, explaining what actually fixed the problem, and the owner was not, in no short terms, going to entertain the notion of any refund of any amount to me. I paid $120.00 for the wrong diagnosis, bought 2 parts I did not need, and somehow in her mind, she feels it was not there fault. However, here's a summary of some of the issues I have with my most recent experience: - I'm now being told to schedule an annual A/C or furnace inspection (which I'm told I need to do to keep my warranty in place (I originally purchased my A/C and furnace from them)), that I need to do it a month or more in advance from when I want the inspection. So, if I want my annual A/C inspection to be performed in mid-April, I'm told I need to call them probably in late February to schedule a mid-April appointment. In the past, making an inspection appointment had to be done maybe 1-2 weeks in advance. This indicates to me that maybe they don't have enough service technicians? Don't now, just speculation on my part. - I had difficulty understanding what the associate was saying, I think, due to the headset she was using (she verified she was on a headset). I had to ask for her to repeat several times, which is frustrating. - Trying to verify current inspection pricing was not a pleasant experience. - I was told that they can still bump my appointment for someone else with an emergency, leaving me wondering if the appointment I made will be actually kept (or rescheduled by them). In the past, for other types of service appointments, they rescheduled me twice. - The best Service One can give you is an 8 hour window as to when a technician will be at your house (they used to give a 4 hour window). So someone working has to take the full day off (or have someone else there), so that they are available to be there when they give their 30-minute call that they are on their way. At best, I give these guys 2 stars.
