On July 15th Stanley Steemer came out to clean the carpets at our new home as a pre-move in precaution because we have grandchildren who will be crawling and toddling around on the floors. When we went back for our final walk through on the 17th before closing, the carpet was still wet and it had just begun to have a musty odor. I called Stanley Steemer and they agreed to come back the next day. The tech who came and the woman I spoke with to make the appointment both said the original tech had overwet the carpet, which was what caused the problem. But they said recleaning and deodorizing would fix it. It did not. The odor got worse. On the 19th, they came again with the manager, he said recleaning and deodorizing AND adding in sanitizing spray would definitely solve the problem. The carpet kept smelling worse. Finally got the franchise owner who had come to town to come back out on July 24th. He claimed to not smell it, and didn't feel the dampness, but agreed to send out a Carpet Inspector, confirming for me who that was and that I'd be hearing from him. When we didn't hear from the Inspector for a few days, we hired and paid for a local Carpet Inspector, same qualifications/training/certification as the original one hired by the owner. He came out on July 29th and examined the carpet. His official report clearly stated based on the physical examination and the evidence that the carpet was indeed still wet after 3 WEEKS and that the fault lay clearly with STANLEY STEEMER and NOT the homeowners. I spoke with the owner and let him know the inspection had been completed, shared the Inspector's name and contact information with him and forwarded the report to him. Now we can't get anyone to return our calls. The smell now permeates the home, we are having headaches from the smell and of course mold becomes a real concern. This is not a company to ever choose to clean your carpets based on our experience. read more

My mother hired Stanley Steamer to clean her air ducts shortly after her husband passed away. She left her anniversary ring and her mother's/father's wedding ring on her bed nightstand. The Stanley employee stole them. We were able to track down from a pawn shop in Omaha that it was indeed that worker that took them into the pawn shot. However, we didn't trace it fast enough and the rings had already been melted down and diamonds repurposed. The owner seemed genuinely sorry and fired the guy. The owner said he would cover the costs for the loss but since has not called us back despite numerous attempts. Watch this company closely if their employees are in your house! I would give them a ZERO star if I could. Had the owner just called us back and made it right, this wouldn't have been esclalated to a negative review! read more

They were supposed to clean my ducts after mold remediation failed to complete the job. The workers left water in my ducts and sprayed something inside them which is supposed to kill mold and left me with a constant headache. They did not vacuum them out whatsoever. They did not even clean the vents. Bad service. read more

My guy Ken was awesome!!! He was early, crazy polite and super quick. But the best part was the amazing job Ken did with my carpets, elderly dog = bladder problems and Ken did fantastic work getting the urine stains out and making my carpets look brand spanking new again. I really wanted to get my carpets cleaned, and I researched EVERY carpet cleaning company. Everyone kept trying to get me to use their certain "guy" with their company. I was very nervous about booking ANYONE as every company had positive and negative reviews. I finally got fed up with trying to figure out who to use and went to Stanley Syeemer after finding a coupon code online. I got three rooms for 99 dollars. I was nervous because I didnt know what they considred 3 rooms. Some reviews (nationwide, not this location) said they don't hold to that or try to charge more after the fact depending on room size. I wanted to get a living room, dining room and den done. My cleaning was great!!! They charged me exactly what i was quoted online (which was a very painless process). They came in, did the job and were gone within the hour. We had a time window of 3-7, they were there at 3:15. They moved EVERY peice of furniture, including the couches. I had no idea they did this, i thought they just moved the smaller things and shampooed around the bigger furniture. I was super impressed!! The carpet was very clean and much softer. They left all the furniture on risers so the carpet could dry. I will definatley use this carpet company again and not go through all the worry next time. This the first time that I used Stanley Steamer to clean carpet and tile. This will ne my last time. The carpet was fine but the grout still looked very dirty. My wife ended up scrubbing the grout herself. We just felt that we wasted money to have our tile cleaned. read more

I hired them to clean my carpets because they were a national company. During the cleaning, the guy told me I could buy a "package" where I could get the same thing I had (2 rooms, hallway and stairs) for a special price. He said if I paid cash it was an additional discount. I paid over $300 cash for three cleanings. He said it was good as long as I lived at the house. We used one 6 months later. Last year, we had construction and couldn't have our carpets cleaned. When I called they said it was okay and to call when I was ready. I called last week to finally schedule one of my last 2 cleanings. They told me they didn't have a record of it and would have a manager check it and call me within 2 days. A week later, and no call back, I called them again and they said my cleanings were expired and there was nothing they could do. I thanked them for taking my money, giving me fraudulent information and blowing me off. I will never hire them again and never recommend them!! read more

We called Stanley Steemer to come rescue our carpets after we purchased a Groupon for carpet cleaning for another no-name company and they pretty much recycled the dirty water and pet odor from our rug into the rest of our (new) carpet, we were so upset. So glad we called Stanley Steemer! I was able to book the appointment quickly, they came right on time and called before hand letting me know they were on their way. The man who came to do the work was very nice and did a great job! The hot water extraction that they use is way better than what the other guy did and it left our smelly carpet in much better condition and much better smelling than it was when he arrived. It took a while to dry, which we expected, but so far they seem very clean and I think they were able to get most of the pet odor out that the other guys just recycled through. Will definitely use them again! No sense going to a small company who might not know what they're doing! These guys are pros! read more

We had our carpet cleaned by Stanley Steemer today. I had initially called a different franchise but felt like they were trying to upsell, and the "advertised price" was 1/2 what they were going to charge. Appt was scheduled between 9-1. They called at 9:15 and said crew would be there in 20 minutes, they were here in 15. Both guys, Travis and Colton, came in, introduced themselves and shook my hand. Good start! They were cleaning our white basement carpet, that hadn't been cleaned in years. I wish I had before and after pics...they did an incredible job and I would definitely recommend them. Bad news for our kids, no more beer pong and sneaking in to the basement through the back yard! I asked them if I could add a family room upstairs and they said "absolutely". The added cost was less then I expected and the whole job cost was less than my other quote. Total time was less than an hour! Will definitely use them again. read more

One of the worst carpet cleaning companies in the metro area! If I could give this company a zero I would. Technician was totally rude. Kept saying there was no guarantee he could get all of the stains in my carpet out. If you cant get all of the stains out of a carpet, why are you in business! Isnt this the reason why you are in business? No wonder other cleaning companies have to go over your work. Stay away !!!!! they really did us bad they were supposed to clean carpet before we moved in and maybe cleaned 3 rooms out of 8 it was filthy and full of dog hair and people hair from the previous family, They told me they would come and redo it to call when ready, so I called to speak to kevin and was told he would return call and guess what he never did. The problem is very small rooms now full of furniture and have 2 giant breed dogs and 1 toy dog that's why I wanted it done before we moved in almost impossible now with them, no where to go with dogs that size so I guess we are out over $300 Be very careful with theses crooks read more

This is a late review on service performed 4/18/11. I spent about $500 having all carpets in our home cleaned. The crew was courteous and the carpets looked great after the service. It was the followup that was a problem. About a month after the cleaning, in multiple areas on several floors, the carpets began to ripple and apparently need restretching. It was certainly caused by the steam cleaning process. I don't know if the workers did something wrong or if this is a common issue for which I should assume the risk. However, I tried three times to contact the Stanley Steemer franchise about the issue and never could get a reply. I phoned, left messages on their website and the final attempt at contact with the company came as a result of the national organization calling with a customer service survey. I explained the problem to them and complained that I was not getting any response from the local franchise and the interviewer said he'd take care of it. I still never heard back. That was a couple years ago, and I get angry every day when I stumble over those ripples in the carpet. If this is a common problem with steam cleaning and no fault of Stanley Steemer, I'm perfectly fine taking care of the fix on my own. But since nobody ever returned my calls and e-mails, I'll never know and I have nothing but a negative feeling about the company. Readers, please consider that a lot of time has passed, so maybe their customer service has improved. And as I said, the carpets were clean after the service, and the cost was reasonable. Another consideration is that the franchise that performed my service was out of Omaha, so I'm not entirely sure if the company has since added a new franchise holder just for Lincoln. read more
