Requested a wash machine eval, sent a young man in 2 days. Did an evaluation, recommended replacement vs repair. I wasted $125

Beware and avoid at all costs or it will cost you. The parts are way overpriced as well as their labor. Charged $300 labor for a 20 minute job. Then I had the exact same problem the next day. Service came back and had to order more parts. It will be 2 weeks and not fixed yet. read more

The Tech Seth is a crook ripped me off by lying about fixing my dishwasher and over charged more than my home warranty deductible of $75.00. He did not obtain my signature for the repair and refused to refund the overage. I had to by a new dishwasher after stole my money. This company has not been of any help to get my refund so I'm taking them to small claims court. All call I have mad are out source to some other country. BEWARE! read more

Seth had a lot of patience and did a great job fixing my dishwasher issue. My frustration is with Sears Extended Warranty. My first call to Sears was in March for a dishwasher that was not working properly. It took until July 5th to finally resolve the problem. This is unacceptable. Again, I can't stress enough what a fabulous job that Seth did. I appreciate the two hours he spent at my home to make sure that everything was running properly. read more

I will hope to never contact them again. Not so much to do with technicians. Rather calling to activate a declined estimate which needed to be reactivated the next day...per the technician... as I needed to discuss part cost with spouse first. Called the number technician gave me to do so next day and got someone who was not American and simply kept reading off a script to set up ANOTHER diagnostic appt even after I had repeatedly advised such had been done the day before. Could not get the individual to understand what my call was to accomplish. Had had good luck with service many years ago and, thus reason tried them again. Never again now!!! Terrible, following completing the installation of a part that was to resolve the problem with the refrigeratorwater supply, the technician closed the work order and packed up and began to leave. Only when I asked if he was going to try the water dispenser, he did and the repair did not fix the problem. The technician picked up his bag and when leaving told me hw thought it was the solenoid, would check if there was a part in stock he would call and be back to install it. He did not call or return. I called about 6:00pm to find out what was going on, I talked to someone who said he was still working in the area, and would call me within the hour. Never received a call back. I call this morning, talk to several persons who could not offer any information, just reading off of "scripts", other than starting all over and enter another service request. I finally requested a refund, which was also aggravating. No one authorized/empowered to listen and make reasonable decisions. read more

Poor service - would NEVER recommend!!!! Customer service was horrible!!!! Our washer started to leak on New Years Eve so I thought how great that I can make an appt outside of business hours online....totally not worth it. The 1st tech that came out was new and misdiagnosed the issue. When I called customer service that night to let them know it was still leaking they couldn't help me because the appt hadn't cleared in their system. I was told to call back and hold again the following day. The second tech came out the next day to my surprise and was nice and knowledgeable (our only positive experience) but the part that needed repaired wouldn't be in for 10-12 days!!! We waited! No part!!!!! I had to call back in to cancel and reschedule the appt and they had no idea when the part would be arriving. I had already pre-paid for the part and labor when tech #2 ordered it. They couldn't tell me if I could get a full refund either. I was told I would have to wait for a different department to call me back regarding either the expected arrival of the part or if I wanted to cancel the order with what portion could be refunded. Both these calls would take 24-48 hours. I decided to see when the part would be in and had to once again call them after no one called me in the 48 hour time period. They could have cared less that they didn't return my call and hadn't followed up. My part did arrive that day thank goodness. The 3rd tech that came to install the part had no idea where it went or what he was doing when he arrived. I told him what it was and where it went. He had no idea if I paid already or how much I was charged. When I mentioned my horrible service to the tech he brushed it off completely. After over 4-5 hours total on the phone dealing with the issue they did give a $50 sears credit but it was far to little and too late. I will never use Sears again and wouldn't recommend to anyone!!!!!! read more

The repair person was great! Was able to replace the compressor and we are happy with that. Sadly one shouldn't have to wait a month.

Robert Z. arrived on Friday, April 23, 2021, notwithstanding I was told no one was coming today. He worked on the dryer, which is 22 years old. Finally said it was not repairable. He refunded all but the initial diagnosis fee, and said to buy a new machine. So that rehabilitates Sears Appliance Repair in my mind. read more

I have a sears extended warranty on several appliances. The latest repair- the guy showed up the day I called, and my dishwasher was running when he left. He was polite, efficient, and in a bit of a hurry toget to the next place- which is fine,since I was the previous "next place" and was happy to get every thing fixed so fast! Note that- in previous years I have been unhappy with the sears warrenty/repair service- because the waits USED to be much too long (weeks even)- it seems like they have made an effort to turn that around- and have succeeded- I guess hiring more people. The last few repair visits have been much quicker (this was not a fluke). read more

After calling at least 6 other appliance repair places, I thought of calling Sears. I wished I would have called them first, and plan to in the future. My ten year old Frigidaire washing machine is working like new -and at a fraction of the cost of a new one. read more

I can't say enough about DAVE the repairman, he did his job and knew right was wrong with it but I can not say any kind words in regard to the scheduling of service department. My refrigerator was 45 to 50 degrees in it. Freezer was working okay. On father's day I called for service and explained to them that my refrigerator was not working. They told me that it would be the 5th of July first and I said it is not good enough and she called someone to see if we could get it sooner. She came back about 5 minutes later and said they could do it on the 29th of June. I could not believe as this was not a reasonable or satisfactory answer, I wanted to hear as the refrigerator was not cooling. I have bought Sears appliances for years and have " never ever" had service like this. All I can say is that I understand why Sears is in the trouble they are in. You do not treat customers as customers. When you took the service departments out of the stores you were oh so wrong again not thinking of the customer but of SEARS. The next time an appliance breaks down I will not be calling Sears, I will call locally. read more
