If I could give zero stars, I would. Our home warranty company, American Home Shield, assigned this business to repair our washing machine in April 2024. After six appointments (only three of which were kept) and two service fees with AHS, we still have no working washer. Technician arrived yesterday, apologized for all the frustration, said he finally had the part we needed. This morning, we put a load in our washer only to find the machine still does not work. We will never deal with Sears again. read more

This rating is not a reflection on the good work performed by the repairman. It is a reflection of the poor communication I received from Sears in general. They make it abundantly clear that they don't want to talk to you by forcing you to utilize the forms online for communication or a chatbot. If you want to speak to a human, you literally have to call a department that has nothing to do with your repair schedule just so you can hopefully get tranferred to someone who can help you. read more

I scheduled a service on Thursday between the hours of 1-5pm, they canceled for no reason. I called back and scheduled again for Thursday between 1-5pm and they canceled again. I called back and scheduled for Friday 8am-12pm, they canceled and I rescheduled again for Friday between 1-5pm and they canceled again. I rescheduled for Saturday between 8am-12pm and they canceled and I rescheduled for Saturday between 1-5pm and they sent an email stating they went to the property, no one was home and left. To prove they were at the property, they took a photo...they went to the property next door!!!!!!! I never received a phone call or anything. I called numerous time to get the guy back to the correct building and nothing! Worst experience ever! read more

The technician was fine. We paid him the $99 for the consultation. However, the nightmare started with a bill from the company for the $99 that was already paid. Their billing only use an automated service so we could not reach anyone to provide evidence of payment or resolve the issue. They did not respond to my emails. Things are set up so that you habe NO HUMAN contact once they send a bill. Don't use Sears unless you want to pay double for the service rendered!! Buyer beware. They have a lot of complaints with the BBB. I wish I knew this ahead of time. read more

Travis was very nice and thorough. He readjusted his schedule to ensure the parts were there when he arrived.

Very friendly and explained everything without seeming to be annoyed with all my questions.

By far the worst appliance service I have ever experienced. They started a repair job, but for 2 months they said they could not get the needed part, even though I was able to get its availability on line. They eventually told my appliance insurance company that it could not be fixed, but never told me about this decision. For 2 months I waited for an answer and they never contacted me. Do not even get started with them read more

I'd give negative stars if I could. They have made me stay hOme 8am-5pm FIVE TIMES and they never called OR showed up. They lie about why and no one is available unless you are pre-paying for them to waste ur time. It's been 2 months of this and they have $700 for NO WORK. read more

Tech was very friendly and knowledgeable. He did a very thorough check of the appliance and explained what the problem was.

Sears home services is an all around failure. Sears had a good name but no more. It took them over two months and over 15 calls for them to replace a washer that is under warranty. Only by contacting by email the CEO and similar upper management was I able to acquire someone's attention who was competent to handle this issue that lasted over two months. Two months of stalling, repeated calls, and avoiding replacement. When the replacement was finally ordered Sears did not want to pay for the optional stacking kit that was originally designed for the unit. Don't buy any warranty services from Sears. They are a failing company and Transformco who handles their home services is horrible as well. read more

Don't even waste your time with Sears Home Services - seriously, save yourself the headache and just go with someone else. I scheduled a service appointment for a dishwasher and ice machine repair. Took me 30 min on the phone just to get the appointment set (during which time, I stated the service address TWICE). The next day, I get a confirmation notice with the wrong address listed. I try to reach someone by phone, but it just routes you around and around in an automated menu. The confirmation claimed I could edit the service address via chat - tried that and got the same runaround by the chat bot. Called again the next day and finally got a person who told me that the appointment would need to be cancelled in order to update the address. What?? Convinced them to keep the appointment and send a message to the dispatch with the correct address. Few hours later, got an appointment rescheduled notice for the next day (not going to work as I already took time off to be there for the original appointment). Called again and went round and round with the person who basically said that my appointment must be rescheduled because I gave the wrong address despite me giving the accurate address twice and then calling back and giving it again! At that point, I canceled the appointment and went with a different company. Oh, and the cancellation confirmation? Still listing the wrong address. If they can't even get an address correct, do you really want them repairing your appliances? read more

Tried to schedule a repair for my washing machine twice and both times the repairman did not show up or even call I will never purchase anything from Sears again using their warranty!!!!!!!! read more

Absolute worse service I've experienced. Impossible to contact someone from the company. I was rescheduled because they didn't have a part and then rescheduled again (the day of service) because they realized last minute that they needed a second technician. Finally contacted a human through a chat feature and they were useless. read more

John worked hard to find a solution that the prior technician hadn't been able to find. He was thorough, fair, and professional.

I have American Home Shield Warranty for home repairs. My washing machine is broken and AHS contracted Sears Home Services. I have been waiting for a month and now going on two months. The Sears service technician came to my house, walked up the walkway took a picture and turned around and left. Then he reported to the company no one was home. The service technician never came onto the porch, did not ring the doorbell (which is a security camera), and di not knock on the door. I have made four appointments waiting for my washing machine to get fixed. Sears, I do have video!!!!! Now AHS is refusing to replace my washing machine. read more

The technician never came to make the repair and I was waiting all day. What a lack of seriousness. They play with the customers' time. I didn't go to work to wait for him and he never came. read more

Here's an update. Apparently this company's service does not exist. Once again No one showed up for our scheduled appointment. Will move forward with reporting this company's scam to proper authorities. read more

Sears Appliance Repair - Confirmed service appointment - Appliances & Repair Near Me

Stay away! They sent someone from "Enhance Appliance Repair" to take a look. This scam company did not send in a report to Sears Home Services & Sears is unable to get one from them. Cannot speak to anyone with any authority. Call center in India totally unhelpful. Have been trying to get our fridge/freezer looked at under the extended service plan (it's totally not working) and we have been given the run around for over a week. Call center workers give contradicting information; have no notes of previous calls, say that there are no supervisors to speak to. Another reviewer mentioned class action suit. Is that doable? I second the motion! What happened to Sears?? read more

Tech had to go back to office to get part bc he didnt know it wa ordered a month ago. No person to call on phone.

The technician never came but forged my signature on the service document like he did come. I even got the link to leave a review for the service which I did not receive. The technician was Homayoun. I have the documents AND video of a no show to back my claim and will pursue legal action. read more

I would give this company zero stars if I could. I was scheduled a repair appointment through my Home Warrenty company to repair a dryer. I scheduled the service for 1/22/25. And was given an 8 hour window for the appointment. My husband worked from home on that day to accomidate for the appointment. The day of the scheduled appointment he received a text saying it was going to have to be rescheduled. The appointment has been rescheduled 3 times since that initial date and all by this company. I shifted meetings around on Monday so I could be home for the repair and did not find out until mid-morning that they were not going to show up. I then sat on hold with one of their customer service representatives and was told I would be scheduled for an appointment the next day (today) only to find out they had pushed my appointment for another week. VERY unprofessional and competely unreliable company. read more

I received an email from Sears Home Warranty that the repair service window was between 8 am to 5 pm today; however, the technician's email noted an arrival time of 5:38-6:08 a.m. Suspecting that the email contained a typo, I placed a phone call to the warranty company to confirm the real arrival time. It took me almost three HOURS to reach a live person, and when I did, he told me to disregard the email about the arrival time because there is a glitch in their system. (I'll say!) When I asked for a real confirmation time, I was routed back into their automated system, where I heard the maddening voice message "a technician will arrive at 5:38 am..." Just as there are almost no options to receive live support, I assume no one is going to show up to do the repair. read more

The Technician was right on time and super helpful and educated me well on my appliances and I thought it was very beneficial to have the Sears Home Warranty so I signed up for it. read more

I called sears service to repair 15 year old Kenmore refrigerator. The service tech called me before coming to my house and ask me the issues with refrigerator. I told him freezer and refrigerator was not cooling and I ask him is 15 year old refrigerator worth fixing and he told if the coil had a leak or if compress or was bad the repair would be more than refrigerator was worth but it would be worth repairing if it had a fan or defrost issue. I told him to come on and go forward with the repair. He found the issue was the board that controls the defrost was defective and unfortunately the part is no longer supported. I would have not had him work on refrigerator if I would have known parts were not available. this cost me $159 for nothin. Never again will I buy or call Sears for support. read more

Had a dryer issue. took them two weeks to get there after not showing up for a scheduled appointment. Then the tech says its the heater element I order a new one. Then says its a week to get. Three weeks go buy no call no nothing. we call sears directly. They say they never ordered the part. Then I call the Service place. They keep saying they ordered it. I say send me the tracking number. They cant find it. three more weeks they finally get the part and schedule the appointment and then never show up three times. Im contacting NY State now and am considering suing them. read more

OMG these crooks, I had a service guy out March 23 2024 to check my Fridge which cost $120. The fridge needs a LG compressor replaced per service. We decided to repair the cost was $609.87. I paid the technician on the spot they were shipping parts. The follow up appt was scheduled for April 1st 2024 between 8-5pm well I had a text at 6.30am saying repair appt was confirmed and guess who never showed. Waited til 6.30pm called 3 times during day to get an estimated time for tech arrival - nothing. They said the computer systems had been down since Friday, haha - their text message for appt confirmation was a dead end '500 / please try again in awhile', all week now same message. Well over 5 hours on phone only now Thursday to be told they couldn't reschedule because tech left the repair open. While on the call I logged in Sears.com home repairs it says completed. Customer service rep from India says he put in a request to contact that should happen within 72hrs well don't include the weekend. Anybody need a $1435 boat anchor. Never again!!! Sears sucks read more

The technical was very nice. Hopefully after the 4th service call, the refrigerator is finally repaired.

The service representative was fine and he showed me exactly what was wrong but I was disappointed by the fact you can't talk to a representative and wish to cancel the sears home services at 56 per month. The service rep said since it's within the 30 days I should get the first month's charge refunded. Please end my service contract. The value for the money is not there. Thank you read more

Do not buy this service. They refuse to fix half of the problems and for the ones they do fix it often takes multiple contractors and many weeks to fix. I ended up paying a plumber out of pocket to fix my dishwasher after not having use of it for weeks! My microwave is still broken and they won't fix it because the one piece that's broken is not covered. read more

Great service..as always! Advised us about future maintenance and how to get the best performance from our hvac.

I wish I could give Sears Home Services a -5 star review! I have a home warranty through a different company, but they schedule appointments with Sears all the time. I have had them call the day of THREE times now to let me know that the technician called in and that we need to reschedule. Their availability is abismal as well, with available appointments two weeks out. The first time they cancelled, they called 10 minutes after the four hour appointment window to let me know the techician called out. Utterly ridiculous!! read more
