We strongly endorse using Bjiorn Nichols @ Searchlight Home Inspection. We recently used Bjiorn for a "quick-turn" escrow. He was responsive, professional and incredibly thorough. Most notable was the time he took to walk us through his findings. He explained the various defects/concerns and explained their level of risk and associates expense. He also took time to explain the workings of the various systems: appliances, HVAC, sprinklers, smoke/fire, drains and electrical panels. In today's high-pressure/ high-risk real estate transactions, Bjiorn is a great choice to bring to your team. read more

We had Bjorn referred to us by our agent, and he did a great job working with us on our home inspection. He is extremely knowledgeable about the area we were looking in (north county), and is very easy to work with. What we liked the most about him is that he is very good at explaining things, and does so in a very reasonable way to give you the complete big picture perspective, without being an alarmist. Of course he will point out things that are critical, but will also help you understand how manageable each problem is. He is very thorough. Couldn't recommend him more! read more

Bjorn is the consummate professional and exceptionally "user-friendly." He arrived ahead of our appointment time, explained his inspection specifics, and was very meticulous rather than rushing through. He delivered his top quality report within the promised timeframe. It was detailed, well-organized and easy to understand. Unlike other inspectors we've used, Bjorn was happy to take questions while he did his inspection, rather than insisting on working in solitude. And his openness to follow-up Q&A is helping as we discuss the inspection issues with the seller. I would engage him again in a heartbeat! read more

I have been using Bjorn Nichols from Searchlight Home Inspections for several years, he is my go to inspector for pre-listing inspections. I have trusted him to do my own Home Inspection when I purchased a home recently. I feel he really takes the time to thoroughly check out a property, never rushes and makes sure your concerns are heard. His inspection reports are easy to read, no nonsense with lots of photos so you can follow along . Eye catching arrows make it easy to see exactly what your supposed to be looking at. I can tell you that I've read many reports and sometimes you're not sure what some of these inspectors are referring to (or not enough adequate photos). I would recommend Searchlight Home Inspections for all your inspection needs and have recommended him many time to clients and friends. read more

Thank you Bjorn! Bjorn was recommended to me by our mortgage agent and I am so happy she did. Bjorn was punctual, honest, thorough, and the product outcome is great. He sent a thorough report, including pictures and details the next day. Here's a plus: He stood up for ME, the buyer, against the pushy listing agent trying to tell him what to do and say in his report. I thought it was impressive. Highly recommend Bjorn's services.
