I went here 6/24/18 with my two children who both have special needs. My youngest child is unable to eat solid food and is on a special liquid diet. I even showed the staff there the shakes that my son drinks and explained to them that he has a disability that prevents him from eating solid food. Instead of just accepting that my youngest son will not be eating anything due to his disability, they overcharged me made me pay an adult price for my oldest son who is only 9 years old. It was obvious they overcharged for my nine-year-old because it was their way of getting money for my youngest without technically charging my youngest. I was just flabbergasted and utterly disgusted because like other posters have stated, they do watch you like a hawk in this place while you eat and they did see that my youngest child did not touch any food at all and was indeed sipping on his own nutritional Shake yet they still overcharged me for my 9 year old who hardly ate anything. In addition to this establishment basically stealing my money, the place was overcrowded and the food was mediocre at best. I will not be returning to this place. I could get a better meal and more professional service out of a food truck. read more

Wow! This is the craziest (in a bad way) buffet in all of New York. Been to this place a few times. The food is decent, however, I saw a man drop a pair of tongs on the floor and give them to the lady working there and she put them right back into the food and I watch an innocent lady take food into her plate with those same dirty tongs. The man who says he's the manager is always arguing and fighting with customers. The only plus is they have snow crab legs, BUT in order to get away with one leg u have to fight for the crabs and the people that work there let this madness happen. I witnessed one of the women workers tell a customer she couldn't come up to get anymore food at an ALL YOU CAN EAT buffet. This place is out of control with unprofessional management and dirty workers. They also clean tables and pick stuff off the floor as well as handle food and they don't wear gloves. When I went to the restroom the woman that works there left the bathroom without washing her hands too. The last time I was there cops were called because a woman slapped a little girl across the face because she took her sons crab leg Nd pushed the worker after. The workers sit back and laugh as everything happens but they called the cops for the worker and not the little girl-- now that's just wrong! 1000000 thumbs down!! Send the health department ASAP!!! Staff are super rude and not responsive. Foods are lukewarm, to make it worse, they are also greasy, bland and unfresh. Not recommend.

My family raved about this place so I went today. It was ok. The clams and muscles in black bean sauce was great, it's hard to mess up olives out of a can but somehow they did, the olives were gross...most of the food was just ok. The dessert bar lacks variety for non dairy eaters, just two different kinds of cake in small squares, jello, and fruit pieces. If you have a gathering with hungry eaters it's good, but for authentic asian cuisine skip this place. read more

the food here is only okay. the price is normal maybe on the higher side given that they LIMIT you to the crab. what the hell? this is probably the only place that i know that limits it! the service is ok and the crowd is rowdy and hungry as what you'd expect. although i'm not sure its worth your time given the crab limit and the choices werent as good as the other buffets in brooklyn! read more

Like another reviewer, this place is mainly Chinese/American with a decent selection of seafood. Salmon was a bit consistently dry. This place is inexpensive though, and decent for the type of food. read more

it was a great experiences they had a lot of food and a lot of choices to eat. The seaport buffet is a very clean and quiet place that's very good for me because i like eating in peace it helps me enjoy it even more.The servers are attentive they cleaned the tables and made sure that we had our tablets quickly. I ate the shrimps,clams and also had two slices of pizza i also tried the squid which wasn't that bad.I really loved the rice with fried chicken the fried chicken was well cooked and crispy. On the other hand, the ice cream i wasn't a fan of it taste to sweet it just didn't taste right. If your thinking of going to the seaport buffet you should go its a great place to discover new foods and to try new things. read more

My colleagues and I brought about 70 hungry graduating middle school students here for a part of an end of the year experience. The staff was very attentive to our group and made sure all plates were taken quickly and pitchers of drinks refilled. All of our students found something to eat that was new and exciting as well as old reliables such as fried chicken wings, noodles, and even pizza! I wasn't a big fan of the mussels. I thought they were a bit overcooked. Also, the sushi was a bit basic, mostly imitation crab meat with cucumbers. I thought that for a seafood buffet, I preferred the more traditional offerings such as the spare ribs, dim sum, dumplings and the egg rolls. Anyway, overall it was an enjoyable experience if nothing extraordinary. read more

Been here many times until today me, my eight year old daughter and husband walk in for dinner. We get the bill to realize my eight year old daughter gets charged adult pricing because she is 4.5 feet tall! Clearly the manager and staff see that she is a child BUT BECAUSE OF HEIGHT SHE IS OVERCHARGED! of course I make a point and their staff with only two words of English say speak with the manager. Clearly disgusting way of robbing people of their money, last I heard when I visited many restaraunts a metric stick was never taken at the front door to determine if my daughter is an adult. Never again will I step into this establishment and I will make sure to tell others how grimy this place comes to customer service. i like this place for about 20 dollars a person you can eat a variety of american/chinese food i love the crab legs here even though there's alot of pushing and shoving and only the first three people usually get it all. so you need to wait with tongs in hand for them to bring more out about every ten ,fifteen minutes you can bring your own alcohol as i see groups of people all the time here with bottles of vodka on the table. relatively clean place no complaints and Ive never had a problem with the food. read more

My first and last time going to this place. I agree with the reviews that the waiters do rush you and give you the check when your at your third plate. The worst part about this experience was I got food poisoning from here. I should have know that cheap seafood isn't the best seafood. However, I just went on a whim thinking that since this buffet is located in sheepshead by other similar establishments they would be up to par. The food is good. If your black they will make you pay before sitting down even though others did not have to pay before leaving. Also the workers hover around your table a lot making sure you are not stealing. Also this is an Asian buffet so they use MSG. MSG makes you feel fuller faster so you are basically not getting your moneys worth of buffet food. on fridays the sea port buffet is 9.99 and water and hot tea of corse free lol, if you go in the parking lot for lunch u go the the shopping store buy something or not get ticket stamped and its free not sure how many hours but thats if u like the lunch at the seaport buffet i honestly for me thought it was not worth it. plates was dirty and cups i seen flys by the ice cream machine messy to. i got a spring roll and it was plan nothing in it. different colors food well cooked werid not happy for lunch not worth going i went another time dinner is great, sea food is wonderful for dinner which is 16. dollars worth going. I think that the food here is GREAT, I ate some of everything. Some of the Sushi is DISGUSTING, but the lobster, chicken & broccoli ,egg rolls chicken, mixed vegetables were good. I traveled to the Seaport Buffet specifically for the crab legs but they were okay, a little salty. The highlights of my dinner was the green-shell clam in brown sauce, fried calamari, pork dim sum (a sucker for dumplings, thought it was shrimp until i bit into it and realized it was pork), and sushi rolls. OMG those sushi rolls were so good, the cucumber, the avocado, imitation crab meat, mango. Even the ones without the imitation crab meat were awesome. The fried calamari was lightly battered, well seasoned, lovely light-golden brown color. I was a little disappointed that the pineapples were canned fruit (it didn't taste bad, I prefer fresh pineapples). The canned jackfruit however taste very good. The Chinese egg custard was ok. The shrimp were not deveined (pet peeve) and lacked flavor. I tried two clams in the white shells and they were gritty, they were not properly cleaned nor seasoned. Gave S.B. 3 stars....waiters refilled my Ice Tea immediately, they were very attentive. S.B. have a variety of entrees, not very much options in the dessert section though :-( Overall I'd say the food I enjoyed is worth $20 The buffet in Queens had better tasting food. read more

So today is Sunday and I just left Seaport Buffet and it was the worst experience i had EVER in my life. i walked in with my cousins which was a party of 3 and they explained the menu which already had be baffled the menu has an option of a beverage and no beverage. Why would you go to a restaurant and have an menu option of no beverage. Whatever. So the hostess told me that i needed to pay before we were seated which is the stupidest policy i have ever heard in my life. I felt very offended but was going to pay anyway. Before the hostess was able to charge me i saw a waiter come to the counter with 3 bills and i was baffled. Is their people paying after they finished their meal? Why would i need to pay now before enjoying my meal and experience? This was ridiculous. I asked for the manager because at this point something isn't right. She told me that it is an option to pay now or pay after. Which the hostess did not say all she said was pay NOW. This business deserves to be reviewed for racism and bad customer service. i asked African Americans in the restaurant wether they had to pay before or given the option to pay after and there were told to pay before. i asked call Caucasian women whether she was given the option and she told me that she was just seated and not asked to pay before. food choices so so, and definitely on the SALTY side.......staff unfriendly and waitress we had was rude, i.e. asked me when I paid her, and after she counted the $ (which was more than the amount of the bill) "what's this, the tip?" Yeah, she got a tip even though she never asked us even once if we wanted anything, like a refill on our water, and they didn't pick up the empty dishes too quickly either.......additionally, they sat us in a very small section of the restaurant which was packed with people and quite unpleasant.......considering it was my birthday, I was even more bummed out to be spending it there........and lastly, would be nice if they offered a senior discount @ a $18.95 price for the dinner buffet......on the plus side, the place was clean, the food was fresh, and their desserts were excellent! read more

I rarely write reviews but this place seriously isn't great. Food there isn't anything special, they serve food that I can get from any Chinese takeout and that tastes even better. I tried to give it a taste because I like buffets but this doesn't even meet my standards. Not to mention the waiters that work there, always seem to breath down your neck and looking over at you. It gets uncomfortable especially when I'm trying hard to enjoy my food. the waiters seem to want to rush you out, on my second plate of food, they bring over the check, but I was not even close to finished yet. They just want us to pay and get out. The employees who work at the counter have attitudes. Their credit card equipment seems to have malfunctions and they try to tell us, the customers that our card is declined because we have no money. Not to mention they talk about you in their language and yes I can understand what they were saying. They are rude and disrespectful. I would never go back there again, and if any one is looking to go there, I recommend you to just pass. read more

We have passed by this place (probably) a hundred times.......so we decided to try it out, on a Friday night.....nice selection of Chinese buffet style food.........everything smelled good.......seen for the 1st time CRAWFISH......never before seen these at ANY Chinese buffets....I will try them next time, as I heard they are a mess to eat ..........all the rest of the entrees, was GREAT ..........we heard that the crab legs are worth fighting for, there WASNT a big line of people waiting to 'attack' the next crab leg batch out, from the kitchen........we all got our share of them, ......only thing that we found funny was the people at the table behind us kept playing with the venetian, till they CAME OFF the WINDOW !!! we couldn't stop laughing .....we all couldn't figure out WHY the people kept adjusting the venetians,......as there wasn't any sun to block out!!! ...this turned out to be a NICE PLACE to go to and will bring more of our friends here next time for sure..................why not drop by and see for yourself?? ................you wont be sorry you did !!!! read more

Seaport Buffet is an attractive, above average, albeit not spectacular Oriental buffet well-placed across Emmons Avenue and the Sheepshead Bay party fishing boats. The food is good to very good but there are no beef dishes and Management, much to my annoyance and that of many, strategically replenishes the crab legs (available only during the evening and on weekends) infrequently enough that there is almost always 5 or 6 people waiting around impatiently with tongs and empty plates in-hand. At times, the wait can be up to a half hour and unless you're standing and waiting, chances are that you won't get to eat any crab! The sushi is adequate but uninspiring; the multitude of chicken and shrimp dishes generally very good; the appetizers good but typical, the desserts adequate. There was an excellent dish of chicken with cayane pepper which, alas, has been eliminated, as has been the tasty chicken skewers. The boneless spare ribs are airly good. The walnut chicken containes no walnuts that I could see.. The dinner price of $14.95 is about three-dollars too high. I would give the establishment 2 1/2 stars rather than 2 or 3 if there was a facility for giving half-stars. read more
