I just got a great auto insurance rate with Giles Insurance Brokers out of Anderson, CA…read more I had been with Allstate for 20 years, and switched to Progressive about a year ago for a lower rate. This past renewal, Progressive sent me a letter telling me they were raising mine and my hub's rates by 30%, at no fault of our own. They said it was due to demographics. Of course I was not happy. They wanted $210 per month to insure 2 cars, one with full coverage and one with liability only. Tiffany at Giles got all three of our cars covered with full coverage, a $500 collision deductible and a $100 comprehensive deductible, for less than that with Nationwide / Allied, which is an A+ rated company. She really took the time to look at the best options for us. Great, friendly service...check it out if you want to get a quote, and remember your broker doesn't have to live in the same town as you...you typically only talk to them on the phone, right? And if you are going direct to the insurance company, like I was with Progressive, definitely make the change to a broker...they really work for you and not dealing direct with the insurance company yourself is so nice. There are no fees from you to broker either, the insurance companies pay their fees. It's like having a personal shopper, but for insurance, saving you loads of time and aggravation. Bottom Line: Call Giles Insurance and ask for Tiffany, and tell her I sent ya...you will be happy you did! :)

My Mother recommended Tim because of his honesty and compassion to his work. She was right, he does not rush you into anything and he really works hard to find the perfect policy for you. Thanks Tim. I had issues with the way the rental agreement was written after a no fault collision, and I called…read moreand emailed State Farm to straighten them out, a woman working for this office called me back and asked if there was anything she can do to help me. I explained my concerns but she was confused and shut down every request for help I made. I really doubt she was calling to help me because if there was a list of things she would actually do that list would be blank. Anyway through the conversation she bit into a keyword and started reciting some corporate incantation about how state farm and enterprise are different entities, however when I told her I know that state farm and enterprise are two different companies she hung up like a child. Just imagine, you're having a good day working on a project, you get a call from the Tim Weatherson State Farm Insurance Agent the person who you pay to provide you a service, a woman representing Tim berates you and hangs up. You're perplexed, confused as to what the purpose of the phone call was, and you're mad because some random person called you to tell you a bunch of lies treat you like you're stupid and hang up on you while you're mid sentence.

Brian is everything you're possibly looking for when it comes to an insurance agent! He's reliable,…read morecommunicative, detailed-oriented, patient, understanding and informative! He's also very laid back, he won't pressure you into anything or try to "up sell" or trick you. He will ask all the necessary questions to make sure you get a plan that's met for your specific wants and needs. I didn't know much about life insurance, but was looking into getting coverage because I have a year old son. I wanted to make sure I had a plan that was affordable, yet secure enough to take care of him if something happened to me. He educated me and gave me options that was best for me. He feels more like family or a good friend than your typical agent. Loved working with him so much that I got my whole family to get insurance through him too! He definitely lives up to the Allstate motto, "you're in good hands."

I was referred to this office by a salesman at Chico Subaru. Unfortunately, after six months as a…read morecustomer, I wish I had gone somewhere else. This was my first time going through the insurance process, and looking back, I feel like my lack of experience was taken advantage of. I trusted their guidance, but later realized I was paying for coverage that didn't really align with my needs. At the beginning, I was given several discounts (like a student discount) that I later found out I didn't actually qualify for. When it came time for renewal, my premium increased significantly after those discounts were removed. The most frustrating part of my experience was the lack of support after I was in an accident. They were very unhelpful during that process, and I ultimately went to seek help from another local Allstate agent. I ended up canceling my policy. I did have to pay about 10% of the remaining balance (around $20) to close out the policy. Overall, the experience left me feeling like I wasn't properly guided through the insurance process, especially as a first-time customer, and that my trust in their advice wasn't respected.
