Maria Reyes and her team are incredible. I had a review from 9 years ago and felt the need to…read moreupdate it. She genuinely cares about her patients and is patient and understanding. Both she and Dr Goldfarb used to work in the same women's practice as Janet Cudahy. When Janet retired, the two of them moved over to work at rush. Both are incredible internist doctors and wonderful humans.

As good as it gets!" and in this case, I could not agree more. The office itself is great. The staff are nice and seem pretty organized, and I book my appointments online without issue. I am also usually able to get a spot within a reasonable period of time (not 6-8 weeks out like so many Chicago doctors). However, the real reason for the 5th star is Dr. Reyes. Dr. Reyes has the best bedside manner of any doctor I've ever seen. She actually takes the time to listen to your symptoms, concerns, and history. Dr. Reyes also seems to genuinely care about my health and well-being as much as I do, acting sympathetic toward even seemingly minor complaints. Miraculously, she is able to give this much attention to her patients and STILL her office runs on time. I don't know how she does it--I've never waited more than 5 minutes for an appointment. I first saw Dr. Reyes in January 2014 when she was with the Advocate group. I was disappointed when I called later for another appointment and they told me she was no longer there. The staff had no information on where she was practicing or how to contact. I was forced to try other PCPs, and it was only when I needed a check-up in 2017 that I finally found Dr. Reyes again. I was thrilled and relieved (and clearly, my positive memories of her held up). If there were ever a doctor worth tracking down, it's Maria Reyes!

Not to mention she authentically walks the walk. When I had an insurance mixup and mistakingly visited without any insurance, the office billed me with a fair flat out of pocket rate for the careful time spent with me. As someone passionate about research and health and wellness, she restored my faith in the medical realm and has been a consistent ally along my health and healing journey.

Her office is cozy and calming, without the buzz of a reception desk. Cady, Dr. Lindner's therapy dog frequents the office, she is the sweetest. The one-on-one attention is wonderful and unmatched. From the time I sit down in her office I feel like she is engaged in everything I say and really hears me. She is thoughtful and kind. Dr. Lindner's education shines through when offering suggestions to my various issues. She is very insightful. When I leave her office I feel more educated about myself, and my issue(s). I leave with a plan to go forward. I can not say enough about Dr. Lindner and recommend her to everyone.

I found him via my insurance pages search engine and he had the best reviews so of course I had to check him out. I showed up and everything went smoothly. They handed me paperwork, which I barely got to start before they were taking me in and starting my appointment. Loved this! Too many times you have to wait a while to be seen at a doctors office even with an appointment. My actual appointment with Dr. Correa was great. He is very personable and easy to get along with. My check up was pretty routine and I had to get my blood drawn at the end. I went straight to the room and they had me in and out overall pretty quick. I think my entire time spent in the office was 45 minutes or less. This is where things started to go south. They have their own portal where you receive the results from the blood test. I got the results, had a follow up question, and messaged him via the portal as he instructed me to do. Nothing. A week-ish went by and I tried calling the office and the receptIonist told me that she'd follow up with him. Nothing. Now my question wasn't super urgent, but I was wondering if I needed to make any changes based on my results. Honestly after reaching out to them twice I'm not super interested in reaching out again and chasing them down. Due to this, I don't think I'll be returning.

Seems like the only type of care HBHC provides comes in a form of a fee/bill, then they care! I needed life saving medication and was told by my pharmacy that they had sent in numerous prescription refills request to no response and I would not be able to get my medication and they seemed truly genuine- this is Walgreens y'all. I was upset and called in to my Dr's office was told okay well send this one in but you need to schedule a drs appointment, I agreed. I went back to Walgreens the next day and to another MF surprise the request was still no response from MF Howard Brown HC, that set me off! I quickly called HBHC and was told yeah no sorry not going to happen until we see you, how what why?! Sir your office told me they were doing 1 more refill- yeah no sorry. I hung up and scheduled a dr with RUSH and based on my experience with HBHC they're seeing me next week. Never recommend this place to family if they matter to you

The phone hold: Waited 3 and a half hours on hold to even…read moretalk to a person on the phone. I needed to schedule an appointment. What are the front desk staff or phone operators doing? It's miserable especially the HOURS WAIT on hold to EVEN talk to someone and then when it finally goes to the proper person, like the dental office which doesn't even have a separate dedicated number, you have to reach the operator first after a few hours on hold, and then you tell them you need to speak to the dental office so they transfer your call and it goes to the dental office phone line and then they never pick up. The in person experience at the front desk: Every time I go the front desk people are chatting about who is f*cking whom, where to party, where to eat, and they're actively ignoring the phone lines AND the people in front of them standing there 2 feet away waiting to check in or with questions. Literally standing in front of them. Then they look at you and pass you off to the other two people sitting there because they don't want to help you and then one of those two people doesn't want to help you check in or make an appointment, you're passed around like three day old fish right in front of them--they just want to gossip about who's dating or f*cking whom. The clinic experience with staff: When you go into their office, the guys and girls are UH-GAIN talking about who's f*cking whom on the 4th floor of the Halsted clinic or who wants to get with who or where's the party at or just plain gossip nonstop. OH MY GOD. Why are they obsessed with who is attractive, who is asking who on a date, who people are having sex with, who is getting some, who is not getting any, who can get who's number, who is loose, oh my God. Please. This is a clinic. Don't get me started on what they say about patients when you pass by them, they look at you up and down, scope you out, then they talk about your as* or junk, I know this because I went back to get a hat 15 seconds later and they were talking about my body. I'm a patient! Pure straight up classless. So the phone hold and the clinics. I mean, THEY'RE SPENDING SO MUCH TIME F*CKING AFTER WORK OR TALKING ABOUT WHO THEY WANT TO F*CK WHILE ON THE CLOCK AT WORK, THEY AREN'T DOING THEIR JOBS! Literally. GET THE PHONE LINES DOWN SO WE AREN'T ON HOLD FOR HOURS AND THEN TRANSFERRED AND NO ONE PICKS UP. FRONT DESK PEOPLE, PLEASE DO YOUR JOBS AND STOP GOSSIPING ALL DAY. These are patients, it's a health care clinic, not a bar or club.
