I found him via my insurance pages search engine and he had the best reviews so of course I had to check him out. I showed up and everything went smoothly. They handed me paperwork, which I barely got to start before they were taking me in and starting my appointment. Loved this! Too many times you have to wait a while to be seen at a doctors office even with an appointment. My actual appointment with Dr. Correa was great. He is very personable and easy to get along with. My check up was pretty routine and I had to get my blood drawn at the end. I went straight to the room and they had me in and out overall pretty quick. I think my entire time spent in the office was 45 minutes or less. This is where things started to go south. They have their own portal where you receive the results from the blood test. I got the results, had a follow up question, and messaged him via the portal as he instructed me to do. Nothing. A week-ish went by and I tried calling the office and the receptIonist told me that she'd follow up with him. Nothing. Now my question wasn't super urgent, but I was wondering if I needed to make any changes based on my results. Honestly after reaching out to them twice I'm not super interested in reaching out again and chasing them down. Due to this, I don't think I'll be returning.

As good as it gets!" and in this case, I could not agree more. The office itself is great. The staff are nice and seem pretty organized, and I book my appointments online without issue. I am also usually able to get a spot within a reasonable period of time (not 6-8 weeks out like so many Chicago doctors). However, the real reason for the 5th star is Dr. Reyes. Dr. Reyes has the best bedside manner of any doctor I've ever seen. She actually takes the time to listen to your symptoms, concerns, and history. Dr. Reyes also seems to genuinely care about my health and well-being as much as I do, acting sympathetic toward even seemingly minor complaints. Miraculously, she is able to give this much attention to her patients and STILL her office runs on time. I don't know how she does it--I've never waited more than 5 minutes for an appointment. I first saw Dr. Reyes in January 2014 when she was with the Advocate group. I was disappointed when I called later for another appointment and they told me she was no longer there. The staff had no information on where she was practicing or how to contact. I was forced to try other PCPs, and it was only when I needed a check-up in 2017 that I finally found Dr. Reyes again. I was thrilled and relieved (and clearly, my positive memories of her held up). If there were ever a doctor worth tracking down, it's Maria Reyes!

I realized this when I came in for a visit and he had asked me about my visit with a specialist, and said he was sent the results and wanted to know how my care and treatment was going there. I was just in shock! I asked him how did you know about that, and he said of course I know, I was sent your results I am your primary care doctor. Of course I had authorized this information to be shared with him, I just didn't expect him to show such a genuine investment in my well being that he took the time to review the results and bring them up to me! That's the moment that I truly felt Dr Berger was more than my doctor, he was dedicated to my overall long term well being. Over the years I have become so fond of the hard working staff. Jackie the office manager will always get back to you even after hours working hard to stay on top of things. I can't thank her enough for her help with insurance billing questions. Dana the Triage Nurse is the sweetest! I'm so thankful for her, I never have to worry about getting prescription refills in if I forget to request them from Dr Berger during our visit. The front desk staff always make me feel welcome and have been accommodating, no matter how busy they get with incoming calls. Thank you! Erica has also been one of the staff members who has won my heart, she is in the injectables office, I always love seeing her and wave hello any time in I'm the office. I'd like to also give a shout to Nurse Issac, he is professional, organized, and always takes care of you promptly. I am so happy he is a part of the Wellness home team! My last personal shout out is to Anthony who is now in the Lime iv lounge. Over the years he has taken care of me since he was a nurse doing my pre-visits with Dr Berger, and now I get to see him weekly in the IV lounge, I feel like we have watched each other grow over the years and I am always happy to see him and catch up each week at the clinic. He is exceptional at what he is doing in the iv clinic, attentive and compassionate to all of the patients. I can positively say any encounter you have with him you will feel cared for and he always has a great smile and a giggle to share. Thank you Anthony! I love the supplements they provide in the iv clinic. The immunity iv has helped me snap out of colds within a few days, and the Meyer's IV is a great cocktail of vitamins and minerals to help with my chronic pain, and also helps alleviate headaches. I have also started getting Botox here, and have been very pleased with my results. I'm so proud of Wellness at Home Star, and cannot praise the entire staff enough for their dedication to the well being of their patients. As the practice grows and expands, I am certain they will continue to provide exceptional care. I hope my review shows any one seeking to find primary care here that they can rest assured there is a great team there who will take good care of you.

Joseph Stokes/Wellness Homes of Chicago Northstar--Keep an eye on your insurance claims!…read more Joseph Stokes and Wellness Home at Northstar filed 15 insurance claims for appointments that were never even scheduled (14 with Joseph and one with Wellness Homes CEO Maurice Brownlee); the first time that I saw the "appointments" was when I checked my insurance claims. I reported this to my insurance company and the claims were denied, but Joseph/Northstar continued to file them for four months after my last visit with him. Joseph pushes off much of his work onto his assistant Jesus (who is a gem!). For example, Joseph told me to contact Jesus if I had any questions about my labs. When I did, Jesus could not answer my questions; I don't think he's a medical provider. It seems like Joseph had not even checked my lab results because when I brought some abnormal results to his attention, he immediately prescribed me a prescription to address the side effects. That is when I switched to another medical practice. Joseph also doubled my testosterone prescription despite my historically high hemoglobin and hematocrit levels, which skyrocketed after the dosage change. He also seemingly ignored potential interactions between testosterone and my autonomic nervous system disorder, interactions that did occur and have had a tremendously negative impact on my health. Maurice Brownlee, the CEO/President of Wellness Homes of Chicago, also filed an insurance claim with my insurance company. I have never met Maurice. I spent hours on the phone trying to get this taken care of. In addition to Jesus, the nurses and front office staff are outstanding--friendly, professional and thoughtful. Also, I had one appointment with Stephanie Salamanca, and she was great. Overall, Joseph Stokes and Wellness Home at Northstar provided me with inferior healthcare and filed insurance claims for appointments that did not occur. I'm working with my current doctor to undo the harm that Wellness Homes did to me. Wellness Home at Northstar treated me with tremendous disrespect. If you are a Northstar patient, be sure to keep a close eye on all your insurance claims.

I had been a patient with Dr. Teresa Cvengros for 3 years up until 02/24/2025. It started out…read morealmost stellar in terms of the primary care provided but really went downhill 6 months ago. I wanted to discharge myself from the Physician-Patient relationship far sooner in those 6 months, and was fortunate to find one that suits my specialized needs at Howard Brown Health. HER NURSES ARE STRAIGHT UP TERRIBLE. She used to have an AMAZING NURSE/Physician's Assistant by the name of Edgar. His phlebotomy skills were unmatched. He left no bruising on my arm, he could find the vein within seconds to minutes, draw the blood, and I'd be on my way. He was so personable and so nice and I looked forward to having him do my vitals and my testing. And then he was gone.... Six months ago, I went in. There was a nurse that saw me with curly hair and a no nonsense attitude. She did just fine with the initial examination and vitals and all that, but when it came time to draw blood, she had issues finding veins where other nurses had no problem after using enough due diligence. After looking at and sticking a needle in my left arm, closing blinds because the sun was blocking out my veins apparently, and not even taking any look at my right arm, she wanted to draw blood in my hand, which I'm not used to and just did not want, even if it's a normal second option. I did not want this because she said she had to do it to someone before this, and she had not even looked at my right arm. I rejected the hand option and she IMMEDIATELY checked my right arm for 4 seconds before saying, "okay, you're going to Quest" all passive aggressively. I've never had to go to quest. I was livid and did let my frustration show. Dr. Cvengros, to her credit, did do my blood work after, finding my vein in my arm after only 5-10 seconds. But that's just my point...no nurses have had such difficulty with my arm that they had to go to my hand. Had the nurse just done their full due diligence, I have utmost confidence and faith that they would've found it (I trust them and know they know what they're doing so long as they actually try). I had contemplating finding a new Dr., but her appointments were easy Saturdays and I figured this nurse would be short lived. Guess what? Next appointment, no nurse to be found. Just her scrambling to do everyone's vitals, running behind on appointments for an hour or more, and being on her own with maybe her front desk assistant. All her nurses or that nurse specifically called out that day. Either way, that nurse hadn't been seen since, and she was garbage at her job. So the last and final appointment, on January 18th, 2025, had a new nurse. She was decent enough at her job, but had a cold demeanor. She could find my vein fine, but was rough and cold in her approach to her job. So she jammed the blood test needle into my arm just fishing for the vein, but she definitely found it! Only with the added effect of leaving my arm bruised for a week or two. I was just glad she could do her job. Another horrible aspect of this place is they want to double bill/charge you. It's the Chicago medical special. Charge you/your insurance for your appointment with co pay and then charge you/bill you for a telemedicine to "review the results". Doesn't matter if there are any concerning results or if it's all normal. It is standard PROCEDURE at this practice to bill you for a telemedicine results review. And if you refuse/only want to do the one appointment and look at the results on MyQuest? They eventually retaliate against you by discharging you as a patient themselves. I got my letter in the mail, dated February 20th, detailing this because I told them I didn't want to do a telemedicine right away and would schedule in advance because in that instance I did need to go over the results to get a prescription I needed for them. Yep. You heard it right. They lock prescriptions and treatments behind the second telemedicine appointment, despite them knowing you need treatment. Keep in mind most doctors offices only follow up on results by phone, especially if they're normal results. They don't charge insurance and you by proxy via copay just to tell you whether your results are good or not. What this place is doing is extorting their patients as well as insurance by billing extra "telemedicines" that are really just phone calls. It may be totally fine or legal within local or state regulations for telemedicine appointments to do it (I'm not entirely sure but I would imagine or hope they do enough due diligence themselves with these practices), but it is a slimy way to handle patients regardless.

The office is very convenient since the location is on several bus lines stop and offers parking. The office is very basic. The check-in was very routine. The wait for the doctor was minimal. After being taken into one of the examining rooms, the RN took to vitals. About 15 minutes later, Dr. Murphy entered the room. He was very engaging before he had reviewed my past history. From there, the exam started. About 30 minutes, I was done. Dr. Murphy followed up with me couple of days regarding the results. After the results, he wanted to know if there's any concerns or questions. I had few other questions regarding other shots that were past due.... nothing urgent. I have scheduled another appointment via the Amita Healthcare's website which is very user friendly. So far, I would recommend Dr. Murphy.

I go to his office once a year for an annual physical and when I am very ill. He has a smaller practice that allows us to have more time with him, not just a nurse practitioner. He also uses an online portal to schedule visits (even on the same day). One of my favorite things about his practice is the ability to be able to contact him (with serious questions) without having to go into his office. He offers his cellphone number and will actually answer and/or call right back. Once I was out of town and needed a referral for an out of network hospital visit; he gave the referral over the phone and even gave me necessary paperwork when my insurance tried to bill me for being 'out of network'. The office is always clean and I appreciate that he is not pill happy. In my experience with Dr. Lindeman, I would say that he does not overprescribe medications. Sometimes my husband and I will joke that the opioid crisis would be solved if we all had to go to Dr. Lindelmen for our prescriptions. In 12 years, he has only prescribed me with 2 or 3 different medications when I really needed them. And once, after a severe allergy to a penicillin (penicillin was prescribed by a dentist), he helped me get back to my normal self by prescribing only the medication that I needed.
