I had Dr Goldfarb for many years and she was always kind patient and very helpful! Because I was having psych treatment I was told I had to see a Dr through their clinic. I was stupid because I could never see my primary at the clinic and only their resident s. I never have gotten any doctor like her! Even though I had a psych diagnosis she never treated me like I was a crazy person. When I was crying in her office because when I get sick my legs hurt so bad she was patient and caring! Dr. Goldfarb and her team could not be bothered! Her nurses are condescending, not helpful, forget to take blood for tests, so you have to come back. Dr. Goldfarb never responds to her messages, you have to make an in-person appointment for EVERYTHING, so she could charge you for the visit (and virtual is not good enough because she can't charge as much for it). Definitely do not go if you are going through menopause. Dr. Goldfarb will be useless to you! read more

After going from Dr. to Dr. (as I have had symptoms for about 2 going on 3 years of something no one could give me an answer to.) I was just about to give up then cancel any and all future appointments for any doctor including Dr. Goldfarb. I'm glad I didn't cancel hers; it was the appointment that was the soonest in my waiting period for any others I was to see. Her team of nurses made me laugh and reminded me what laughter was because I have been depressed knowing my body has been falling apart over time. Other doctors just treat the symptoms and not the actual problem that's causing the symptoms. No doctor or nurse ever bothered to ask, "How are you feeling, tell me everything". Both Dr. Goldfarb's team and herself asked me this. The tears and overwhelming emotion came over me while talking to Dr. Goldfarb and her team because no one bothered to listen to me let alone ask me this. Previous doctors were quick to get me out in minutes while running the same CBC & Iron blood test panels as if that would actually tell them anything. Then bill me $500 for them saying "idk" give me Psych referrals, then gaslight me. They would just give the same, "Exercise and drink water, you'll be fine; you're young". Right. Cause I hadn't thought of that or been told that by 4 other doctors before. I explained to Dr. Goldfarb my symptoms and more. I asked her if she could run a test for my hormones as I knew it had to be something, something someone missed. She agreed then mentioned my liver had some elevated levels too and that she wanted to do more testing on this. She listened. She did patient and family history to make sure she was thorough, asked me personal in depth questions about me and when life changed for me health wise, she understands how CPTSD can cause symptoms not only in the brain - but the rest of the body; creating health issues that can be missed. Dr. Goldfarb is very knowledgeable in body & mind being connected. I have chosen to stick with her because I can tell you that the health system is absolute trash and to find a great doctor is like finding a needle in a haystack. Really. Worst service ever ! I have bronchitis which she refers to as a virus almost 3 weeks ago. It was a full blown infection and I was on oxygen in the ER due to her error. She has a terrible bedside manner and I mailed a letter to Rush and copied their CEO Dr. Lateef. Her staff is friendly and professional, but I received less than 3 minutes of the doctor's time. Her staff pages her and I emailed via mychart about my refill and have the records from the pharmacy as to the time my prescription was actually submitted to back up my claim. read more

My then doctor couldn't see me for 6 weeks, whereas Dr. Goldfarb saw me right away, confirmed my pneumonia and put me on an effective course of treatment. That was years ago and since then, from random illnesses to annual checkups, Dr. Goldfarb has provided consistent, top-notch care. Jennifer is a fine doctor if you have a money or the best health insurance money can buy. I am self-employed. I pay for my own health insurance, which is decent. I went to Jennifer twice. Once when I thought I had the flu and then one more time, shortly after for an annual gyno check up. Not only did this location and their laboratory charge my insurance company an ASTRONOMICAL amount of money for standard blood work and new patient fees, but Jennifer decided to run every single random test she could, instead of using common sense. I'm a healthy 29 year old, that was being checked for flu symptoms and she did a blood test for high cholesterol. Let's just say- when all was said and done. After my insurance paid 80% of both of my standard visits I was then sent a $900 bill. Which I am still paying 2 years later. Jennifer was a nice person, but because of her poor choices I will never return to this hospital nor would I EVER recommend her. This kind of medical practice is why there are problems with our health system. read more

Dr. Goldfarb is always so kind and professional. She's been my PCP for 2 years now, and has walked me through a multitude of not-so-awesome autoimmune diagnoses in a way that's both straightforward and empathetic. She's so quick to respond to my messages and calls back and leaves voicemails right when she gets the blood results back. She answers questions very patiently and isn't judgmental. Plus, she understands the fact that I'm concerned about expenses and if I don't know if something is covered she'll wait while I call my insurance from the patient room to ask what the cost will be. I'm torn between 2 and 3 stars, I've had good and bad experiences with this office, and I am in the looks for a new place to go, until then, I can scrap by with the women's health here. Dr. Goldfarb is very professional, but I've also felt at times that as my doctor she could care less about some of my concerns and as far as the staff....LESS THAN IMPRESSIVE....the nurses and the desk staff on the phone have THE most droll attitudes. Dr. Goldfarb is my primary care physician. She was pleasant, thorough, and most importantly, present. She made me feel like my exam the most important thing she was doing. Her mind was not elsewhere. She didn't rush at all but the visit was not drawn out. Where she gets 5 stars from me is her compassion. Recently, I had an abnormal test result, leading to another test, followed by a biopsy. The whole thing turned out to be nothing, thankfully. However, she called me personally with each result as soon as the result was available, making sure to answer any questions or concerns. In one case she beat the specialist in notifying me. When you are waiting for an answer like this, every minute in suspense is terrifying. I would recommend her highly. read more

I recently moved to the Lincoln Park area and love the convenience of the Advocate Masonic multi-specialist health building down the street (3000 N. Halsted). I scheduled an appointment with Dr. Goldfarb for the convenience of her office location, but was pleasantly surprised by her helpfulness and overall time efficiency of the visit. She suggested a generic to the birth control I use that I had never heard of. This plus her suggestion to fill my perscription by mail order is saving me time and money which is always great. I will continue to see Dr. Goldfarb as long as I live in the area. read more

She is the kind of doctor that asks just the right amount of probing questions, making sure she is looking after every part of your well being. I had a 2:00pm appointment with Dr. Goldfarb today due to a car accident a few days ago. Since I'm not yet driving, I had to depend on a cab which caused me to be 15-20 minutes late. When I arrived, the nurse advised she would likely not see me. I explained the situation and stated it was an urgent visit due to my condition and unfortunately, I had no control over the cab service. She spoke with Dr. Goldfarb twice to hopefully see if she would be a bit more understanding and see me but the nurse came back a second time stating "Dr. Goldfarb refuses to see you regardless of why you were late. She has other patients and is leaving soon anyway". At that point I was left speechless and almost in tears. Mind you, 95% of the time it is "I" that waits for 30, 45, an hour for my Dr. visits because they are almost always, running behind, which I've never complalined about. I've been going to the Women's Health Resources office for over 20 years and it is highly unusual for me to ever be late for any of my appointments. I will never visit that office again nor would I ever recommend Dr. Goldfarb to anyone, ever. So unfortunate and very disappoiinted and shocked at her action or in this case, non-action. read more

I have been to Dr. Goldfarb's office a number of times, and have had issues with every visit, many of which are issues I would never even imagine to have at any professional doctors office. For starters, I have received other people's test results in the mail, which is a direct violation of HIPAA, and a serious misstep. Regarding Dr. Goldfarb herself, during appointments, I always feel very rushed, and as if I'm not being listened to at all. When bringing up a new problem, she barely listens past the first sentence before writing a prescription for something, which more than once have either not helped at all, or have made the issue worse. In one case, a prescription I was taking was not working properly, and was making me feel sick, each time I've tried to bring it up, she hasn't allowed me to describe the issues I was having, and quickly writes it off and tells me to schedule another appointment. This has happened twice, wasting both my time and money. In addition, there was an instance in which I called to ask for a refill for a prescription I needed right away, when I took it to get filled, the pharmacist gave me the wrong version of the drug, which I had never taken before. This tells me that she couldn't even be bothered to glance at my file to see what she was refilling, and just wrote whatever she guessed it might be. My worst experience with this office, however, involved getting a referral to an orthopedic surgeon after being hit by a car and suffering a major fracture in my arm. I was hit and brought to the ER on a Monday night, and due to the severity and placement of the break, could not be put in a cast without being seen by an orthopedic surgeon, so was discharged with simply a sling to hold my very broken arm. The soonest I could be seen by the orthopedic surgeon was Wednesday at 2PM, leaving me approximately a day and a half to get the referral from Dr. Goldfarb's office. The ER had left a message that night, and my mom followed up for me first thing the next morning. It took a total of 12 phone calls between myself and my mom to get this office to send it over, most of those phone calls taking place between noon and 2pm on Wednesday, the day of my appointment. Because of my injuries, movement of any kind was extremely painful and usually brought me to uncontrollable tears, so to get to my appointment was a big deal. The thought of getting there, only to find out that I couldn't see the orthopedic surgeon because my doctors office couldn't get it together enough to send a simple referral was absolutely appalling. Overall, I would never recommend this office, or Dr. Goldfarb, to anyone. I am shocked at how badly they handle things there, and would never trust them to be looking after my personal care. If you are looking to find a doctor that you can develop a good relationship with and not feel like just a name on a chart, she is not the doctor for you. read more

I have had very good experiences with Dr. Goldfarb as a primary care physician. She is thorough, asks a lot of questions and does seem concerned about my well-being. Unfortunately, the office staff do not maintain these same standards. They have misplaced my information several times, been less than polite and do not seem to care about providing good office support or representing the doctor well. I first saw Dr. Goldfarb this week because she's taking the place of Dr. Cudahy who is retiring. My first impression is great, I prefer her assistant to Dr. Cudahy's, I got in much much faster than I ever did with Dr. Cudahy and she was sympathetic and helpful with my condition. I had tests that I wanted her to run in my head and she automatically suggested we do those. After wards, the results came in she called me herself to discuss the next steps.
