Although it took awhile to get my root canal done, When I did have it done, It was flawless, fast, and on point, And I literally had zero pain afterwards! Dr Sean Daniels is a man of very few words, But that's okay, He did a fantastic job and would highly recommend him read more

Dr Daniels and his staff were incredible. They made time in their busy schedule to help me out same day when I had a horrific tooth ache. They were straight to the point. They got the job done fast and didn't try to sell me anything I didn't need, unlike most other dental places. I would highly recommend Dr Daniels! read more

Disorganized and if you don't keep on top of them they'll never send in updated paperwork to the insurance company. The front desk staff is extremely rude and have no idea what they're doing. The lack of communication was astounding. If you have any other option....take it! read more

Excelent Dentist, when others dentist say they can't do it Dr Daniels always founds a solution!

Profesional, above and beyond, and efficient!!! Love this office . Love the staff and will be back

Well... I'm 4 days out from having an emergency root canal here & doing well. The office was very calming & inviting. Dara who worked with Dr Daniels was very knowledgeable & shared her opinion on my questions. Clearly not her first day & was comforting that she has been there 13 yrs. The Dentist was very kind & explained my X-rays so I knew what to expect if I committed to the work which I did. I asked for a follow up plan as I was leaving on an international vacation in 3+ week & did not want any pain while on. He supported that decision with extra potency Advil & got me on penicillin to kill the bacteria. It has worked so far & will meet with Dentist when I get back to complete the work. I recommend & would return if needed. read more

Doctor Daniels was phenomenal. I absolutely hate dentist and that dreaded drill!!!! But Dr. Daniels told me before the root canal, "don't worry I got you" of course I was skeptical in the beginning but I didn't feel a thing, and he performed the root canal in such a short period of time I wondered if had done the root canal at all. Support staff were courteous and very helpful. I wouldn't hesitate to refer Dr. Daniels to any of my friends and associates. Great job Dr. Daniels. Donnie D. read more

Doctor is unfriendly and rude. Did not give time for any numbing to occur before drilling into my tooth. Didn't explain any after care and just walked away without saying he was finished. read more

Absolutely the best root canal specialist in San Diego. Not the most fun thing to have done but this dentist and his staff made it easy. I highly recommend him read more

In summary, Dr. Daniels was not a very informative nor personable endodontist; and at times he seemed rude. The patient's comfort was obviously not one of his priorities as he ignored several of my concerns about pain. If I have to fork over $1,000 for an hour of service in advance, then I could at least been treated like a patient. I love my regular dentist, but I'm not sure why he recommended me to come here. To start with, he didn't bother introducing himself or acknowledging I was in the room until I took the initiative to say hello. He didn't feel the need to give me information about the procedure, the complications of my root canal, or even tell me what he was going to do until I asked. So why I got charged $100 for the "limited consultation fee" when there was no consultation, I do not know. As I was trying to make small talk, he was very condescending about my educational background. Umm, does he expect all his patients to have a PHD? During the procedure, getting numbed was actually painful as he was standing up straight while administering the anesthesia shots and roughly rotating the injected needle. The sad part is I still felt some pain at the start of the procedure. When he didn't feel like giving more, he would just say, "We're almost done." Stingy with the anesthesia? When it was all over, he handed me a printed copy of the instructions of how to take care of my tooth and then told me to see the receptionist (who had better manners). No asking me if I had any questions and no goodbye. I don't even care that he got the job done, I'm sure there are plenty of endodontists out there will a high success rate who are more friendly, considerate, and informative. Please be careful when reading some of these reviews because I don't believe anyone could have received a 5-star treatment here. read more

This guy literally saved me. I needed an emergency root canal on a Friday. My dentist referred me and he got me in that afternoon! The only pain I felt was the numbing injection. The root canal was completely painless and took less than 30 min. I left feeling tremendously better and am so happy I decided to go with Dr. Daniels. Highly recommended. Also I don't think that picture at the top is him btw lol. read more

This so call Dr. needs to be suspended from practice. I had the worse root canal perform by feeling alot of pain during my procedure. My root canal ended up failing after a few weeks. During the procedure the assistance told him they were out of the size that was needed for my root canal but he insisted to use a shorter one and to proceed with the root canal. I gave him the benefit of the doubt that he knew what he was doing. Nope. Both my primary and new endo agreed he shouldn't have done it that way after seeing my new x-ray. read more

I have never experienced so much pain. I was referred to Sean Daniels by my dentist. I needed a root canal done and was referred to Dr. Sean. Dr. Sean was not personable at all. I explained to the doctor that I'm very sensitive to pain. If I'm paying over $900 out of pocket (insurance cap for the year is up) for a root canal.. I would hope to be treated as a paying customer. My regular dentist I love and not sure why she recommended me to come here. He never bothered introducing himself to me. When it was time to numb me he literally put the swab in my mouth for a second and immediately administered the anesthesia shot, roughly infecting the needle into the spots. It hurt so bad that I even stopped and said it hurts really bad!!! His response "it's suppose to, it will get numb" When I was finished there was no conversation with him.. straight to the receptionist who discussed after care procedures with me. I usually get my dental care at LA Jolla Village Smile but since they were closed at that time, I opted for here. Big mistake!!!! Never again!!! My tooth still hurts. read more

I am very grateful to Dr. Daniels and staff. They helped me in a expedited manner. Twice. I have had 2 cracked teeth. They were very honest and kind. Dental care and the cost stress me out. I also can't afford to miss work. They worked with me and I had a great outcome. Thank you for all you do. read more

I had to get 2 root canals in a span of 6 months and Dr. Daniels and his staff took great care of me, got me into an appointment the same day I was having issues and immediately performed a root canal, definitely the place to go to if you're having an excruciatingly painful tooth they get you in quick and do the procedure in 30 min to an hour max. Dr Daniels has such light hands I barely felt anything when he was working on me. This is definitely going to be my regular Endodontist clinic (hopefully I wont need to come back too often!) read more

Relatively pain free root canal. Had to come in twice however because I personally experienced a recurring headache after root canal. Was prescribed penicillin over the phone same day, only took an hour. Overall I am pleased with this endodontist and I found the office through yelp! Absolute best Endodontist I have ever been to. Unfortunately, I have many crowns that have failed. After being told by my primary dentist that the crowns would have to be removed and I might lose the teeth, I went to see Dr. Daniels. Dr. Daniels successfully did root canals through the crowns. I have referred family and friends to Dr. Daniels and we are all in agreement... He is the BEST! read more

Dr. Daniels and the entire staff made getting my first root canal a breeze. I would recommend them to anyone who is fearful of dental procedures as they fully understand the emotions and support you along they way. I was able the see them the same day I called to make an appointment. If I ever need work like this done again I would not hesitate to come right back! read more

An A Plus (or more) to Sean Daniels and his wonderful staff for being so efficient and tuned into my possible pain levels in doing my root canal a few hours ago. My regular dentist referred me to him (his office spoke very highly of him) because it was more than a basic root canal that had to be done (the tooth had a big hole in it, was decaying and was way bac there). They got me in a day AFTER my dentist called in (this was considered an emergency). Dr. Daniels and his assistants were absolutely superb in getting me in, explaining what was to come and during the procedure acting if I felt pain to ensure I was a bit more numbed up. That actual procedure itself probably took at most 30 minutes. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Sean Daniels for his efficiency, professionalism, sensitivity to whether I felt any pain and also for just being a really nice guy. I've already thanked my dentist's office for referring me to him. read more

Dr. Daniels is a great Endodontist. This is my 2nd time at this doctors office and Dr. Daniels is great at what he does. I had no problem with the first one, 2.5 years ago. The 2nd root canal was just completed this morning and I'm actually back at work. I have no pain and I can drink cold water again. Dara is great, too. read more

I was referred to Dr. Daniels by my Dentist, for a difficult root canal (and because I am a difficult patient with extremely high anxiety and low tolerance for pain). Dr Daniels had the day off, but came in to see me within an hour of me calling. He began root canal. He was quick, personable, compassionate, and had a reasonable price. He was able to fit me in the next day to finish the root canal. He made sure I was comfortable and was able to manage my pain well. I highly recommend Dr. Daniels, especially for patients with high anxiety. read more

By far THE BEST office to get a root canal. I had a complicated tooth that needed a root canal. Dr. Daniels takes his job serious. I was extremely anxious which is unusual for me but he was very patient, calming and extremely quick. I have had (unfortunately) 3 other root canals done (not at his office) and my experience at Dr. Daniels' office was perfect -- how could a dentist appt be perfect well it was such a painless and comfortable experience. He is so quick and my recovery was 1 day! Thanks Dr. Daniels. If you need a root canal you want Dr. Daniels to do it!!!!! Thank you. read more

This dental office is very good. Dora is really nice and so is Sean Daniels. Lol it was funny because i was here 1 year ago on Tuesday getting a wisdom tooth pulled & here i am again. But they were caring & understanding as well. I was referred here by my dentist for an extraction both times and the staff was very friendly each visit. read more

Outstanding and mostly painless (as it can be) work on an infected 30 year old root canal. Took me in on no notice during thanksgiving week and quickly relieved my pain. He and his assistant worked quickly and efficiently with little fuss. Not overly talkative but I was very happy with a professional who delivered. He was very concerned with my pain level but an infected tooth comes with its drawbacks. Highly recommended. I used yelp to find him and fully concur with the majority that were satisfied. read more

Referred to by my general dentist for an extraction and root canal. Dr. Daniels did both procedures cleanly and professionally in a timely manner. I felt no pain at all during either procedure, nor did I feel much discomfort at all. He was patient with me and was able to avoid triggering my sensitive gag reflex. I felt secure allowing Daniels to do his work as he was very direct and knew exactly what he was doing with confidence and without any hesitation. read more

I would give them a zero if I could. I found this place through my insurance providers search engine, looked up their yelp and called them last week and spoke with somebody at the office. I told them about my situation, I told them who my provider and who my employer is and they told me yes you are covered and gave me an appointment. I shortly received an email confirming the appointment, which was very professional. Today I went to my appointment and after calling the insurance they told me sorry we dont cover this specific policy !!. ... I took time off of work and came here just to hear "of course we can treat you however without insurance" .. You could have checked my insurance last week over the phone or better yet you could have somebody answer the phone who is more knowledgeable regarding insurances and actually values peoples time as well. Very unprofessional.. !! read more

Doctor and staff were very accommodating and friendly. I'm a baby when it comes to the dentist chair and they made me feel at ease through the entire procedure. Overall, great experience and I would recommend for those in need of a pain-free root canal. read more

I would give them no stars if yelp would allow me to. Dr.Daniel's has to be the least friendly dentist I have ever met. It honestly felt like because this would be the only time I would need a "specialist" that he did not have to take time to stop and be kind. To him I was there to get my tooth fixed, pay and get out. He was overly rough on my mouth the whole time from my shot through the whole root canal. Half way through my root canal I was feeling dizzy. (I tend to pass out and have seizures.) As soon as I said that he sat my chair up and walked out of the room like it was an inconvenience for him. I also asked the assistant to stay in the room just in case I did pass out but before I could finish my sentence she was gone too. If I had passed out I have no confidence they would've been any help. My tooth was so infected that he had to finish the root canal the next day and made me a 10am appointment. I arrived early just to be sat in the dental chair until 10:45 when the dentist finally decided to show up for work claiming he was late in traffic? A week after my root canal I started have an enormous amount of pain. My general dentist said it was probably because I did not finish my antibiotic and my infection was coming back and to call Dr.Daniels to get a new prescription or something stronger to kick the root canal infection. So as much as I did not want to deal with that office again I knew I had to call. When speaking to the dentist on the phone again he seemed very annoyed that he had to take the time to talk to me. He said that he does not give out antibiotics and that there was no way I could still be in pain. He asked what my pain scale was at and I said a 9 out of 10. Which I think most dentists would have recommended I come in to get it checked out but again that would've taken more of his time. He offered me vicodin and said to call him in a week if the pain was still there. Then he had the nerve to ask if I had a "pill" problem when all I asked for was some type of antibiotic to kill the infection and I did not even ask for pain pills. He finally decided on Penicillin and said they would call it into the pharmacy for me. Three hours later I sent my husband to CVS to pick it up and surprise they had not even called it in. When I called the dentist office in tears she assured me they called it in and it was just a mistake. Then my husband called and she told him she couldn't call it in because she did not have my birthday. If that were true she should've called and simply asked for it earlier. Anyway, I will never ever go back to them and I hope this review saves someone from the same crap I had to go through. read more

Dr. Daniels did a great job on my root canal and oral surgery. He and his team were always willing to call me and fit me in as needed...even during a holiday! An added bonus is that they bill your insurance in a way to help save the customer money. I realized this after talking to my insurance company and dealing w another endodontist who charged a max rate not covered at all. If id have driven a bit further to Dr. Daniels id have saved $120 from one 10 min visit! read more

I was referred to Dr. Daniels by my dentist, and was able to get an appointment that same day. He introduced himself to me, and was very polite. I explained that I had had a very bad experience with a root canal before, when the dentist would not stop once the novocaine had worn off, and had actually bitten the dentist. We agreed nitrus oxide would be a good idea, and it began. The novocaine injections were very painful because of the swelling already present and he apologized for that and kept checking in with me. Once I was numb and calm, the procedure began and everything went fine. He sent me home with my prescriptions, instructions, and a follow up appointment for the followiing week. All in all I thought he did a great job, was professional and polite. Let's face it, a root canal is not fun, but I think he made me as comfortable and relaxed as possible AND no one was bitten :) read more
