This is my first time trying the salon, but my mom has been here plenty. I have to say that it's not the best place i've been to, but it's pretty good. I got my nails with acrylic and shellac, and cut my hair. My mom had her hair dyed. The total cost was around $100-$110 with a discount. I had to wait a bit to get my nails done, but i had no problem as I knew that we had came around 11, which is their busiest time. After about 15-20 mins, she (which i totally forgot to ask for her name) came and started right at my nails. This is my first time getting acrylics AND shellac, so i was a bit scared. She was very soft with me, although i did get cut by the cuticle cutter, but it's really no biggie, since it's the first time and it would be kind of hard to do. She stuck on the nail tips and got right into the acrylics. I'm definitely coming back here again when i have the chance. PROS - Nice Color Selection -Three big massage chairs -Very nice nail ladies. I normally have nothing but good things to say, but I am not all that happy with my experiences this time. This is the second time in a row I have called a day or two in advance to get an early morning apt and then had that apt time given to a person who walks-in in front of me while I have to wait 10-15 mins while another employee is doing prep work or something. I am always on time or a few minutes early. My rushed 20 minute haircut was repeatedly (about 4 times) being interrupted by people calling-in or walking-in and even though there was another employee not dealing with any customers my haircut was the one stopped so they could go deal with answering the phones, making appointments, and dealing with walk-ins. I received a #2 cut which is very short, so after my shower I very much noticed a few patches which had hair of a few inches sticking out, which I obviously had to cut myself as it was ridiculous. I am not sure what type of experience this stylist had with beards but I feel it was limited as I am not happy with how it turned out. I had many long hairs just left on my upper cheeks, and near the beard line. I was not shaved close where it should have been, so it's like I have a few days stubble on half my cheek. The sides of the beard were unevenly cut, with one side of my beard sticking out with longer hairs and a small chunk was cut out of one side right in the middle. Not the best haircut I have received here, I might not get another beard trim, I haven't decided yet, but the customer service was so below standard that it upset me. What's the point of making an appointment if you don't honor it? If you are constantly being distracted so it effects your work maybe figure out a solution so you don't have to stop a haircut constantly to do something else. read more

The two ladies that cut hair are very consistent and the price is affordable. With an appointment there is not much of a wait.

They have the best pedicures and for a reasonable price. They use sea salts, healthy oils, hot wax and a number of steps that include massage. It is quite a relaxing atmosphere and they do not constantly talk to you. I really do not feel like the pedicure is a nice to have but rather absolutely necessary for the health of my feet! My feet are seriously healthier since starting to come here. If you want a quick fast food pedicure, this is not the place for you. They really take their time; plan on an hour and a half (at least). read more

Went there for underarm wax and the first thing I noticed was that the treatment room was extremely unclean. Hair, dust and wax on the floor. The second unusual thing was that she had me sit on a stool and raise my arm over my head (which gets tiring). Other places I've been to always have me lay down where I can comfortably rest my arm. There was no prepping my skin. I don't think the technician knew what she was doing with the wax, because she was sloppy with it and got it on my shirt, afterwards she said, "don't worry". When I got up, I felt like my jeans picked up bits of wax off the vinyl stool. Later when I got home, confirmed that bits of wax did melt into my jeans, impossible to clean even after hot water and scrubbing. :( To the owner of Seahurst nails, I gave you a try to support my local neighborhood business. However, your establishment is UNCLEAN and your technician UNTRAINED. Please make service improvements. read more

The ladies here are absolutely amazing ! I wanted to get my hair cut and colored I was looking for an ombré type color and had a picture of what I wanted. We got started later in the day and they even stayed after close to finish my hair end result... I got exactly what I wanted like the picture shown in the beginning I couldn't have been any happier !!! I live in Tacoma and it was kind of a spur of the moment decision and I was in the burien area, but now I will not go anywhere else totally worth the drive. Love this place for reasonable and quality services. They cut my hair how I want it even if they haven't seen me for months. Love the mani/ pedis. Even without an appointment I never have to wait very long. I keep in mind there are busy times so I ty to walk in at the off times. They are sweet and kind and it never smells bad like chemicals! The salon is clean, nicely decorated, but kind of poorly lit. I've gone here for waxings and mani pedis. The nail jobs are average, nothing too spectacular. However, I really like the scrubs that they use for the pedicures. All the times that I've been there, there hasn't been more than two people working at a time. Soooo, this place has changed hands since my last review, and Cat's. They are running a special and I got a hair cut, brow wax, pedicure, and manicure for $46.00 (normally 55). The ladies that have taken over are better than the last owners by leaps and bounds. They do shellac nails as well. The background musuic is fun late 80s early 90s softer rock songs, which I confess I tend to humm along too, while getting my pedicure. Still great prices, still long massauges when getting the pedi or mani, But the finish product is by far much better. read more

Tried something new...they said they have and can use a straight razor but they don't have any! It's electric. I asked 2x to be sure they use them. "Yes, we have them. I can do that." I've been coming here for a haircut for several months now. I'm pretty picky when it comes to hair stylists and was lucky to find this place. Tram does all the hair styling among other services. She's wonderful! She listens to what you want and is always open to adjustments if necessary. Now that I've been a regular, I don't tell her a thing. She just goes "same as last time?" :) She takes the right amount of time. It wasn't too fast to feel rushed or too slow to feel impatient. It was easy to make an appointment over the phone and there's never a wait. The place is super clean and tidy with some oldies playing. There's always somebody getting a mani-pedi. Price is surprisingly inexpensive. $12 for a men's haircut! Other services are just as affordable. I'm going back for eyebrow threading/wax next time. Finding the place might be a little tough. It's in the middle of a residential area. And parking is a bit small, but never too crowded. Just look for the sign on the sidewalk. read more

I was underwhelmed by the manicure I got here. The massage was too rough and the top coat polish was put as a base coat. No top coat, no uv light. So it's no wonder my nails chipped all over, not just the tips. At only $12 I guess you get what you pay for, but still I will not go here again. read more
