I love the display of the new adult books as well. It's easy to locate books with the author last name and I love that they put a sticker with what type of book it is as well. The employees are helpful and friendly as well. I love the fact you can also access audiobooks!

They have a pretty good collection of new movies and If you sign up for emails, they will email you when they have new movies to rent. Every time we come into this little gem, the staff is always so friendly and helpful. They are operating limited hours right now due to COVID19, but they make sure their limited hours are posted on their website's front page. When you do return movies and books, the only way their taking it back is the drop box behind the library. They are not taking any returns inside. In addition, they are not taking any cash for payment for any late fees at this time due to the pandemic. What I also love about this library is sometimes they have donated bread at the entrance, free to anyone who might need it. At this time I don't think anyone is allowed to sit and stay (and play) inside, so they labeled their hours as "Grab & Go" while they are open. I have looked into their digital selection, and it would be nice if they can expand it. I've put in a few requests for movies that they do not have, but have not received any response as to them making any effort of carrying it. Room for growth!

The Good and the Beautiful -- A Company Parents Should Approach With Extreme Caution…read more Rather than being impressed by their polished marketing, read the customer reviews before purchasing! After my recent experience, I cannot in good conscience recommend The Good and The Beautiful to any parent. When you read through years of customer reviews on sites like Facebook, a clear pattern emerges: significantly delayed or missing orders that are never delivered, replaced, or refunded; incomplete shipments; strict return policies used to deny fair refunds; and customer service that is almost nonexistent. Unfortunately, my own recent experience confirms these concerns. The company presents itself as a Christian, family-centered homeschool curriculum provider, yet their consistent practices tell a very different story. Subpar Customer Service My customer service experience reflects what many parents have reported. Concerns about missing items, shipping delays, and refund issues are routinely mishandled, and customers describe being ignored, dismissed, or even blamed rather than helped. One of the first red flags is the complete absence of a customer service phone number or any direct human support, even when specifically requested. All communication is restricted to email, where responses are superficial, unhelpful, slow, or never provided at all. On social media, the same flippant tone used in emails appears in the company's replies, where dissatisfied buyers are routinely directed back to the same ineffective email address--creating the appearance of support without actually providing it. For a company that heavily markets itself on Christian values such as honesty, kindness, and family, this lack of genuine customer service, unwillingness to help, and general disregard for parents who have purchased their curriculum is especially alarming. Unethical Return Practices Their return policy is exceptionally rigid and appears structured to benefit the company rather than treat customers fairly. Numerous reviewers describe returned items being falsely designated as "damaged," resulting in drastically reduced refunds while the company keeps both the payment and the returned curriculum--only to resell the products at full price to others. My situation was no different. I purchased 16 textbooks worth over $300. Due to a family emergency, I returned them slightly outside the 30-day window. The books were unused and in perfect condition. The company confirmed receipt of the return but offered only 20% of my original payment because I was outside the 30-day deadline. When I asked them to simply return my books--with shipping costs paid at my expense--they refused. It would have cost them nothing--only kindness. Instead, they chose to keep 80% of the purchase price and all of the books. This occurred during a financially difficult time due to a family member's health issues. The Good and The Beautiful made hundreds of dollars from my transaction and will no doubt sell the books I paid for to others to make even more profit, while I am out hundreds of dollars and have no curriculum for my son. Concerns About Curriculum Quality Other reviewers have expressed concerns about the quality of the curriculum, with some mentioning unexpected or questionable content, as well as materials that fall short of educational expectations. Combined with my experience, these concerns reinforce that this company may not be the reliable or ethical provider it claims to be. Final Recommendation I regret not researching more thoroughly before trusting this company. Their branding suggests integrity and care for families, but my experience--and that of many others--suggests otherwise. Between their rigid and unfair return policies, refusal to provide direct customer service, and willingness to keep both products and payment, I feel genuinely taken advantage of. I strongly urge parents to proceed with extreme caution before purchasing from The Good and The Beautiful. The financial and emotional cost of trusting the wrong company, especially during a stressful or financially strained time, is simply not worth the risk. There are plenty of reliable homeschool companies who do not engage in these patterns of behavior. "You will know them by their fruit." -- Matthew 7:16
