Honestly walking in, it looked like a normal book store until she walked me to the back. Walking through the gate door is where the view changes. I was in awwww! How cool is the set up of this place. I had no clue it was a 2 leveled book store. It was neat looking at the lower level. The shelves prettily speckled with color cause of all the books. I was able to look at all the old school historical books when we were walking in and out. How neat to have so much history on your shelves! We were in a time schedule so I wasn't able to really dig into them. I have seen some pretty neat places while I'm here in SLC for a bit. I'm happy I got to add this book store to that neat list. Weeks later I got an email saying that the address I put in was wrong and they would not be refunding me. I asked what the book was, and it took them eight (angry) emails before they responded. They CRITICIZED the book I purchased twice and INSULTED the authors. I had paid for the book ($10) as well as shipping the first time. The owner was angry with me and said he would only send me the book if I paid for shipping again a second time (which was less than $7). I sent him $20 and my corrected address. He refunded me $10 and sent me an invoice for the shipping of the book to the correct address. When the book finally arrived, he had WRITTEN in the book (a limited copy) and AGAIN criticized the book and the authors. The owner was very UNPROFESSIONAL throughout our entire interaction. Please do yourself a favor and purchase your books somewhere else.

There were only 10 Batman comics total, with just two different issues priced at .50. Everything else was $4.95 and up. When I asked about the .50 comics, I was told, "Oh, we had a bunch for the holidays." Misleading ad. Won't be back.

A readers DREAM, if I could bottle the smell up and sniff it all day I would. Second, the customer service is pretty good, I've taken books in for credit and they've been really nice and helpful! The selection is great too, they have newer books upstairs and horror tucked into a back corner in the basement but it's okay! I love the smells and quiet in the basement. The prices range from like .99 to 15$ I also stop by split leaf for a coffee before going in. Love the hook garden! I hope it stays around for forever!
