They gave me great advice on not to use salted butter because the king crab legs were already cooked in salted water. The canned crab was good but not as good as the legs! Most AMAZING selection and knowledgeable and friendly staff!!!!! I was in town from Cleveland and had to stock up!! Every time I come in town, I have to stop in and stock up. They make their own sauces, dips, sides, desserts. This time, trying Jeff's key lime pie! I have my regular items and then I like to expand and try new stuff. I love this place. It is the only store in the area where I will buy seafood. I visit at least once a month. The store is always immaculate and odor free. In terms of product, freshness is the priority. This means that they have a limited assortment of fresh seafood (they have a lot but the place isn't overstocked), in order to promote faster turn of their inventory. However, if they don't have something in stock, they can order for you. Their scallops are the best in town, although I've also purchased a variety of fish (grouper, branzino, trout, sea bass) from this location. My wife is a big fan of the seafood salad. All have been excellent. And I usually leave with some salmon jerky to snack on while I drive home. The staff is always available to offer advice and is knowledgeable about the product; for example when it arrived in the store and how to prepare it. You never have to wait here for someone to help you; they are very attentive. There are several young men who work here along with Jeff and his wife. I always get the impression they are "like family" (in the good ways). They always offer you a lemon and give me a scoop of ice (I generally visit with a cooler). It feels good to get something for free. Prices are a bit higher than what you find at the grocery store or Costco, but the comparison in quality is no contest. I've made the mistake of buying scallops elsewhere; now I only buy them here. I happen to live near the store, but even if I didn't it would be worth the trip across town to shop here. read more

This truly is the best seafood in Cincinnati. We just came back from San Francisco and this is the only seafood supply that is even close. We had the salmon, seafood lasagna, and seafood soup - all were delicious! The prepared foods are frozen, which makes for an easy meal during the work week. The fresh salmon was indeed fresh, and well worth it. The employees were also friendly and patient with my questions. Without a doubt, "Jeff's Famous" smoked salmon is simply delicious. My wife found this spot a few weeks ago and we made a trek across town for a refill yesterday. Absolutely love this place! The best smoked salmon anywhere. Anywhere! Anytime I'm in the area, I stop in for some smoked salmon and salmon jerky. Sometimes my kids have sporting events nearby and we get salmon and some delicious sides and have a picnic prior to the game. Haven't bought fresh seafood since relocating here from New England. But after the 3rd unrelated person mentioned that Seafood Station is the "only place in this area [they] would buy seafood" we gave it a shot and we will definitely be back! On our first trip we bought scallops and they were delicious. Customer service was great during our quick stop. I found a cool seafood store in Loveland called the Seafood Station. When you walk in there is a unique smell in the air--fish would be a safe bet--and it really makes you want to buy their fresh fish. It just looked healthier and better than what the grocery stores have to offer. They have 36 different seafood options, 16 of which they almost guarantee will be in stock, but special orders are usually available in one or two days. I saw all kinds of fish such as their special smoked salmon, as well as trout, grouper, tilapia, yellow fin tuna, wild salmon, and cooked shrimp, but they also specialize in North Carolina-style slow, wood smoked pulled pork barbecue, feature Fred's key lime pie, and serve fresh bread baked daily. During the spring they even feature a "Friday fish fry," where they sell fish sandwiches. Seafood Station is really neat because it's a small store, yet they have all kinds of good fish and other food items too, and the staff is really friendly and helpful.
