One of the other stores was rubbish, and the other is comparable but more expensive. We have never been disappointed by the food from Taylor's - always hot, never oily, tastes great, and good service from the staff. This would have been a four star review but I am giving one extra star to the most amazing tartare sauce I have ever had! I believe it's made in-house, and it is so good that I won't buy anywhere else as other tartare sauces are just one big disappointment. It really sets Taylor's apart, and I'll keep going back as long as they're there for business.

A couple of the boys decided to gather up some change and head off to the closest fish and chip store so we could gather a feed to mung on so we could forget the day's pitiful athletic display. Half an hour later those boys returned to a finished game and handed out the packs of food to share. We all chomped into freshly crumbed fish that wasn't too oily and chips that were crisp and had a hint of being freshly cut. It wasn't the best we'd ever tasted but it was still worth the little money we could for out. When it was all gone we decided to leave the field of sporting nightmares. But at least the taste of defeat was gone.

The general rule of thumb is that when you find an awesome fish and chip shop, you stick to it. I…read morecan tell you that my attachment to my local fish and chippery, Fish's in Teneriffe, might be a little unhealthy. And not just in the beer-battered kind of a way. It has gotten to a point where I turn my nose up and any other option for the combination of potatoes and barramundi. Now that's good fish and chips! Although I usually indulge in the takeaway variety, Fish's is also a restaurant and has a relaxed, family atmosphere. Along with the usual fish and chips, there are burgers, seafood platters, meals, mussels, oysters, prawns and calamari also on offer. If it comes from the ocean, chances are Fish's have it! And it's as fresh as fresh can be. If you are looking for somewhere to get excellent fresh prawns for Christmas or a BBQ, theirs come highly recommended by me! As does the cajun fish. I veered away from crumbed fish a little while ago and lashed out with the cajun (a big deal considering I'm a creature of habit) and it is awesome! For reasonable prices, Fish's offer huge portions of (in my opinion) the best fish and chips in Brisbane. The wait is never long and the food is fresh and delicious. Get to Teneriffe for a taste!

Simple wholesome food which I could (and do) go back for time and time again. A recent refers has given the place a slightly more modern edge but it still remains the same at the heart. The service is top notch and the food is delicious, as you would expect. Everything we ordered was good, especially the oysters which we agreed were the best we have had in Brisbane. I have to say the fish mains that we ordered were pretty standard, not out of this world but good so there is room to really impress me there:) It is a perfect spot to celebrate a special evening or host some visitors who have an appreciation for fine dining, seafood and will enjoy a stunning view of the river and story bridge while you dine.

When we walked up to the greeter she asked, "what do you want." I looked around to see if she was talking to someone else. There was no one else. And then I thought maybe she confused me for someone she knew. That was not the case either. I said, "This is a restaurant, isn't it?" And then my husband tried to defuse the tension by making a joke about turtles eating jellyfish. It was all just awkward and weird, but she was just the greeter, and we sat and ordered drinks and a pre-dinner appetizer. The waiter was not a particularly happy person either, so after the app, we paid our bill and went to another restaurant for dinner. Every place can have a bad day, and when staff is fighting with each other they can take it out on everyone else, but OMG, the service we received here was awful. P.S. That appetizer was good.
