    Ocean fish....tomato, mozzarella and pistachio pesto....yes, fish was as it looked
    Tina D.

    I ate here at lunch instead of dinner as it was on my way back to my hotel from the South Bank. I am glad I did not make the extra trip here for dinner. I wanted to try this restaurant b/c of the marvelous reviews...I have to disagree as the menu price did NOT match the food quality. Food: I had a great ocean fish that was blinded by the over breaded crust. The mint yogurt was a perfect combo for the fish; but it was basically good yogurt dip and I did not taste much mint in it all. I had a tomato, mozzarella and pistachio pesto ...great dish, however, they either ran out of cherry tomatoes or skimped on it and cut up a regular tomato amidst the cherry tomatoes. The cherry tomatoes were amazingly sweet; the other was rather tasteless. Drinks: Had a great New Zealand Sav. Blanc and very expensive Voss sparkling water Environment: Great view on a a day with beautiful weather. Can't beat the location! Modern decor;

    I went with a mate last night to have dinner. Excellent customer service from all the people who attended to us especially from the woman with the white coat on - great personality! My mate ordered the pork belly - he loved the food! For myself I ordered the Kingfish - somewhat tasty! I have previously been to Jellyfish a number of times in the previous years. I will be coming back to Jellyfish in the near future!

    As you walk along the boardwalk overlooking Brisbane River, it's hard to resist stopping by Jellyfish, whether for drinks or an intimate dinner for two. Its cool name is accentuated by the innovative jellyfish lights complete with trailing tentacles bobbing in the bar area. The prices are expensive but this is one of those places where the food quality is worth the premium price. I've been to Jellyfish several times. On the first occasion my seafood shabu-shabu for one blew me out of the water. The soup stock was liquid gold and my only complaint was that I wanted more vermicelli noodles. On another occasion, my partner found the grilled fish only 'above average' which isn't a bad thing; only for their premium prices we expected perfection. Also, it's probably better to hold off on dinner reservations until 7:30 or later on a Friday or Saturday night if you're not starving. The restaurant was packed like sardines. It was difficult to hear dinner conversations and not very comfortable sitting spitting distance from strangers, albeit elegantly dressed ones.

    This place is not only beautiful, the food is incredible! I ordered the Morton Bay Bugs, biggest I've seen, very juicy too. My guests ordered fish from their fresh catch menu. All was wonderful. Even our sides were delicious. Hot chips, watermelon and goat cheese and asparagus were all delicious. I want to go back here again very soon!

    This place was fantastic and everything we had was prepared perfectly. Great location on the Brisbane River with views of the Story Bridge. The service was top notch as well. Recommend the Salt and Pepper Squid and Octopus to start. I had the swordfish and it wss exceptional. Heard the Barramundi is great as well.

    Great atmosphere near the river and excellent service! Fantastic food! Had the spaghettini! Amazing sauce. I couldn't stop eating it! A must stop for Brisbane!

I…read morecan tell you that my attachment to my local fish and chippery, Fish's in Teneriffe, might be a little unhealthy. And not just in the beer-battered kind of a way. It has gotten to a point where I turn my nose up and any other option for the combination of potatoes and barramundi. Now that's good fish and chips! Although I usually indulge in the takeaway variety, Fish's is also a restaurant and has a relaxed, family atmosphere. Along with the usual fish and chips, there are burgers, seafood platters, meals, mussels, oysters, prawns and calamari also on offer. If it comes from the ocean, chances are Fish's have it! And it's as fresh as fresh can be. If you are looking for somewhere to get excellent fresh prawns for Christmas or a BBQ, theirs come highly recommended by me! As does the cajun fish. I veered away from crumbed fish a little while ago and lashed out with the cajun (a big deal considering I'm a creature of habit) and it is awesome! For reasonable prices, Fish's offer huge portions of (in my opinion) the best fish and chips in Brisbane. The wait is never long and the food is fresh and delicious. Get to Teneriffe for a taste!

Located in the Central Station. Easy access by train or bus. Price: dinner $69-$79, breakfast $59, not sure about lunch. The price doesn't include drinks. But the drink prices are normal and affordable. Food: huge variety!!! Believe me! My partner and I have tried other buffet package in other restaurants and hotels around Brisbane and Gold Coast. This has been our most favourite. The price worth what you get! I've posted many pictures of the restaurants and some of the food. Check them out! Huge variety in starters, main food, SEAFOOD, and desserts. I cannot mention each of the food because it's too many. Hehe Service: the best! The waitress was very friendly with nice genuine smile. She kept our table always clean every time and kept on refilling water without us asking for more. She always serve things for me first and then my partner. That is the correct manner of serving meal/drinks in restaurants, which is ladies first. My partner booked a table for this dinner and requested a special seating because it's for our anniversary dinner. And when we arrived, we were placed in perfect spot in the corner, with great view, and feeling more private. It was the first great impression of the night. They did not forget our request. At the end of the night when we were enjoying our desserts, a waitress came with a complementary sweets plate from the chef, with candle and plate was written 'happy anniversary'. That was really nice. (Check out the picture). This kind of amazing service will the one make us to keep coming back to this place. I'll update this review or write another review if I try their breakfast buffet next time. Hopefully it's as good as the dinner :)

I am not a big eater by any means, however I ordered 2 half mudcrabs and 5 half bugs. My husband ordered 2 half lobsters and 5 half bugs. The mud crabs were so small I complained. The bugs, well 1 mouthful out of each bug. The mud crabs were that small, I asked the manager if they were in fact mud crabs? because they were the size of blue swimmers. He said yes they were mud crabs, and the were very small at the moment. I contacted Dept of Fisheries on Saturday and made a formal complaint.... the minimum size of a mud crab to be caught in Queensland is 15cm across the body, I told the Dept of Fisheries that these mud crabs were not even 10cm across. The Dept of Fisheries advised they would investigate. They called me back this morning and told me that the mud crabs and bugs were imported from Fiji, and they don't have a minimum size requirement. so they can get away with it. Dept of Fisheries told me we were served blue swimmers - not mud crabs...although some of the claws were mud crab claws The manager gave us a $70 discount, and we paid $101. I would not have even paid $100 for what we were served. I am not a big eater by any means, and we left the restaurant still hungry. MY SUGESTION ...... if you do decide to go there, ask if they serve Queensland mud crabs and bugs, or are they imported. So incredibly disappointed.... Yvonne Kirby

While seated, we repeatedly asked where our food was, as it took over 90 minutes to arrive, and our sides never came at all. The table next to us was also missing their sides. Despite us raising these concerns, the woman in charge never came to our table directly, instead, a waitress was sent back and forth relaying messages, which was incredibly frustrating and completely unprofessional. After we finally finished eating, staff did take away a few items from the bill, but for the long wait and the amount of food we never received, including crab, rice, and other items, it still wasn't worth what we were being charged. We tried to calmly work through the bill at the counter, pointing out what we hadn't received, but some items were still left on the bill. We went back and forth for at least five minutes just trying to get the final snow crab (which never came) removed from the bill. Instead of resolving the issue, the woman in charge told us she had been instructed over the phone by another manager to call the police, simply because we were trying to explain what was missing and make sure we were only charged for what we got. The situation was handled with zero professionalism and absolutely no attempt to de-escalate. And to make matters worse, we had brought THREE packets of birthday candles, and all of them were used on other people's cakes for other tables. While at the counter, I saw one of our candles in a cake in the back room, and when I asked about it, the staff member pulled it out of that cake and tried to hand it back to me. Completely unacceptable and unhygienic. What was supposed to be a fun birthday celebration turned into a frustrating, stressful, and embarrassing experience. Between the delays, missing food, poor communication, and the unnecessary involvement of the police over one missing item, this was by far the worst dining experience I've ever had. I absolutely would not recommend this place to anyone. They need serious training in communication, customer service, and basic hygiene.
