Stopped in here because it was halfway between NOLA and Nashville and had great yelp reviews. Very tasty! They aren't kidding when they say "overstuffed" shrimp po boy on the menu. The quality of the shrimp was actually comparable to what I had in NOLA which is pretty impressive. I would definitely recommend a stop over here for anyone traveling on I-59. read more

I stopped by because the ratings suggested to do so and ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!?! OK, I am a skeptic and hard to please, but this little wonder was absolutely delicious. Everything. The poboys are as advertised, overstuffed, and the batter is the magic. Potato Salad and Hushpuppies were on par with excellence. The gumbo was different and I am not so sure it wasn't from a chicken stock but nonetheless, its unique taste was welcomed. I will most certainly be back. read more

The store and bathrooms were disgusting and beyond dirty. We almost didn't eat there because of that. However, we stuck it out and ordered shrimp po boys, which were fresh and delicious. Worst seafood place I have ever been to. First I waited 30 min for my order. They got everyone else out within five min. Probably because my husband and I are interracial. Anyways we only ordered one thing so it shouldn't have been too hard for them to figure out. Their food is all fried and a sorry excuse for good "seafood". You can find better food in the frozen section at Walmart. We are from up north and wanted to get authentic southern food and only got to try all this fried Long John Silver knock off crap food that made us both so nauseous to our stomachs we lost our appetites for the rest of the day. Dirty, overpriced and very unfriendly! If you're looking for somewhere to eat in Mississippi that isn't a chain....it's not in Meridian! I've had better chicken and fish in Chicago! This place is awesome!! I am allergic to shrimp (which I was told by the locals is the best), so I had the oyster po'boy. I lived in New Orleans and Baton Rouge, and have to say, it was one fine po'boy!! Please do not let the bars on the doors or gas station ambiance throw you off. It is not a bad area, and the inside is clean. Even better than that, the staff and locals are friendly and helpful. And the food is phenomenal...and cheap!! I had the catfish po'boy, and it was really good. All the reviews I read were for shrimp po'boys, so I thought I'd add one for catfish. My bf and I split the 8 inch sandwich and it was plenty. It was overstuffed and really fresh. We ate in the gas station, which probably took a little away from this place, but the food was delicious. We also tried their barbecue sauce and really liked it. It wasn't smokey, but more like a honey bbq. Definitely recommend, but just eat it at home or somewhere else, not the gas station. Everyone else was walking in and picking up orders they had called ahead for. I'd recommend that route so you don't have to wait there. read more

The catfish Po boy I ate was up to par with any five-star seafood restaurant. You can't see what's going on in the kitchen and but everything coming out of it tastes and looks very fresh.
