Red Lobster is Red Lobster! It's hit and miss every time regardless of location. This was my first time at this specific location, and like I said, "It's hit and miss." The food was good, the cheddar biscuit were on point and they kept coming! To me Cheddar biscuits are the best part. The food: I had the salmon with lobster chunks. Overall, my plate was awesome. It had great taste and I was happy. The presentation, I honestly give no plus or minus ratings on presentation. My food was cooked to taste and it was good. We had the mussel appetizer and it could've been better. The size of the actual mussel was pretty sad, but the flavor of the wine sauce made up for it. The touch of bruschetta bread that accompanied the wine sauce a delight. My buddy had the Talapia Grilled tacos and to my surprise they looked good. Okay, so here is where I get a little touchy... To me, a big thing is the drinks. So for beginners, the water offered upfront is cool but, the water used for the ice is crucial to my evaluations. At this particular Red Lobster the ice is pretty awful. The iced tea I received tasted like ordinary iced tea; it's was good. But as it sat and it watered down the dirty water iced taste started coming through and over powering the integrity of the iced tea. I couldn't even drink it any longer. I'm not a Red Lobster fan simply because I don't believe they sell fresh seafood and some things you really shouldn't slack on, however I was in town for a high school friends birthday and I wanted to treat her to something nice. We went on a Sunday around 1, right before the Sunday rush. Our server was James and although he tried his best, he still manage to forget items which caused our food to get a little cold since we didn't want to eat until everyone's food came out. My meal was actually really good. The crab legs stayed hot and were very flavorful. The pasta that came with my meal also had chunks of crabmeat and it was also very good. I had a salad as part of my meal and it was pretty good (might want to put the dressing on the side since they were a bit heavy handed). If your like me and can't eat a meal without desert then I would recommend the one that includes a brownie and ice cream. They were out of nuts and cherries but it was still good. Had a wonderful date night on a Saturday afternoon with my husband here. Super friendly staff, and the food was hot and fresh. We started with the fried calamari and vegetables, then the Caesar salad, then we shared the ultimate feast and dueling lobster tails entrees. The only thing I didn't care too much for were the rock lobster tails, they were a tad on the chewy side. It was a bit expensive, but very worth it for some nice seafood. Be warned! A couple of days ago my husband and I went to this restaurant. We live in the area and frequently went here to eat years ago as it was very good and on par with other Red Lobsters we had eaten at. However, we went there one evening and it had changed and not in a good way. The food was off tasting with the fish tasting as if they had been pulled directly out of the river. It was then different from other Red Lobsters we had been to. We decided to give it some air. Unfortunately, the other day we decided after a few years had lapsed that perhaps new management had taken over and that it would be good again just like in the old days. Boy was I wrong. It was clean and the waitress was accommodating, but in the end its the food that counts. The food was poorly cooked and did not taste good. The green salad was all wilted rib pieces with stale croutons. I had ordered a shrimp dish. The shrimp were practically raw and were served floating in a dish of liquid cold butter or margarine. The cheddar biscuits were warm but when I lifted one to my mouth I could detect the faint smell of cologne . I suspect they had been handled and placed in the basket without the benefit of clean hands or gloves. The food was not good and the thing with the biscuits capped it for me. How I wish we could have a decent Red Lobster back in Meridian again. As I understand the Red Lobster franchise furnishes the food to be cooked by the individual restaurants. This was my worst experience ever at a Red Lobster and I have eaten at them in different cities and Meridian is just terrible. Me and my girlfriend hadn't been out for a date in a while so we decided to go to Red Lobster for the endless shrimp tonight. Our wait time was 30 minutes which was understandable on a Saturday night. We were seated and I noticed my seat was dirty with some kind of liquid spilled on it, but on one side so I sat on the other end. We both ordered endless shrimp and was disappointed to find out that it changed from last year so now instead of 3 choices you only get 2, also at the fact that they had run out of teriyaki shrimp, how is that possible if its endless? We ordered anyway and had finished all of our food and waited almost 10 minutes before the waitress came back for our refill of shrimp. We then only had one choice at a time. So we chose what we wanted and waited 10 more minutes and received our food. As soon as we received our food we asked to get our other selection and waited over 30 minutes to get it and by that time we were sleepy and couldn't eat it and also was not allowed to take it home. We were allowed to take only biscuits home and the waitress didn't even give us a bag for it. The endless shrimp experience at this location did not seem endless at all.
