Now the crabs tasted pretty good as well as the shrimp...but these were suppose to be JUMBO! Now I've had jumbo and colossal blue crabs before and they were HUGE! These are best were maybe large because most were pretty heavy...but that doesn't mean they are jumbo. So I really didn't like that I paid 90/dz for what I thought would be huge and get home and see these tiny crabs. The owners were really nice and even provided me with some newspaper to eat my crab. But to say these are jumbo is dishonest. Especially when the price is up there in this economy.

Captain white seafood city-…read more I had not been here previously but off a neighbors recommendation decided to try it , my family and I went to get some steamed crabs,they had alot of them in varying sizes and genders, we settled with large and a few extra large both genders, then we had to go out back to pick up the crabs from the steaming station, while this was going on, I then went to the fish side and helped a relative pick out some shrimp and fish, the cashier grace/gracie was very helpful and let us know about our options and choices and made the experience seamless she told us we can even take the fish fillets to the butcher and they'll debone them and filet them which is a great service to offer especially if you are pressed for time! my only critique was it smelled very fishy in there and not in a fun way , and I've been to other full service seafood and fish markets and there wasn't one but others a good experience and I would go back.

We stop by to see what the price were, but Cranky Crab is a very small operation so we felt obliged to order. They definitely weren't as cheap, but the proprietor, "Biscuit" explained that was probably the price for the smaller crabs. The ones here were 7 or 8 inches across (#1s or extra large and very meaty males). We decide to get only a dozen and it took about 20 mins to get them steamed. While we were waiting, my 8 yo asks if he could see the equipment to which Biscuit obliges. He even gives my son a little popsicle from the freezer, which was much appreciated on a hot 90F summer day. He's a grandpa, so maybe that's why he's good with kids. With a nickname like Biscuit and a clean crew cut, I thought for sure he was in the military, but he is/was a firefighter and adopted his the nickname in honor of his dad. Overall, I'm glad we stopped by. The prices might be a bit big for some people, but so are the crabs. Stretch your dollar and save all the crab shells, bits and pieces to make a crab stock.
