A top level life experience that I will appreciate forever! Every staff person and volunteer was so kind, positive, informative, and just overall wonderful. They patiently explained everything to us, including why certain rules are in place. Please take their rules seriously. They sent some people away because they had on shorts which is not allowed. The tour was not a lot of walking in terms of distance, but you get a little dirty and need to watch your step at certain points. You should bring a metal water bottle that will keep water cold while it's in your car. We were not far from the cars and there was a break so you will have easy access to water/other things in your car. The great part about no cellphones is that everyone stays present and enjoys the moment. You can bring a disposable camera (they also sell in the gift shop if you forget). The wolves were so friendly & playful. The staff/volunteers were also very attentive and provided assistance to ensure everyone felt comfortable when a wolf approached them. There is so much attention to detail to make sure everyone (including the wolves) is safe, learns, and has fun. There is an opportunity at the end to have staff take a few photos of you with a wolf on your phone. So if you don't have a disposable camera, you'll have an opportunity to get a few photos. Wolves are my favorite animal. I learned so much. I have even more love for wolves now and a deep appreciation for the staff/volunteers who take care of them at Seacrest. Words cannot describe how amazing this experience was. My boyfriend is obsessed with wolves and was in tears when he saw them. They have three amazing preserves with different wolves. You can sit down and they will tell you facts and answer any questions about the wolves. They're such fascinating and beautiful animals. They give you a break during the tour and have a really nice gift shop with snack, drinks, and merch. During the tour we got to howl like the wolves and made all the wolves on the preserve howl back. It was such a surreal experience. At the end of the tour we got to meet some possums and skunks. The experience of having wolves calmly sniffing you and letting you rub their backs , even having one them tap you to say " I want to be scratched " is kinda out of this world . Go big, or go home! My motto. Going big was the price for the private tour, but it was SO worth it! When you take into consideration what it takes to run a preserve like this, and they depend on tours, donations and sales to support the facility - it was worth every penny, and I was glad to pay it. Our guides were terrific (sorry bad with names). We interacted with 3 different packs. Some were very 'in-your-face' friendly, and some were 'hey it is a great day, so I am going to lay over here in the sun.' We didn't care, just being in their world was cool. We were happy to pay $50 or even $100 to visit this wonderful wolf preserve. But since the group tours are so limited we we were faced with paying theme park prices for the so called VIP tour. When the lady quoted me well over a $1000 for 5 people in shock I almost said we want to spend a few hours at your wonderful preserve not a weekend at Disney. But their not a theme park. They are a nonprofit Christian organization which apparently has no problem price gouging the public. It was amazing! The staff are informative, friendly, accommodating and the wolves are amazing. Most of the staff ensured that all participants were able to interact with the wolves. There was only one staff member who essentially was playing with the wolves and going to the same one family every time. The staff were eager to help with pictures for us, tell us where the good spots are, and overall a good time. The only thing I will have to say (as an educator myself), is that when you notice something isn't working - move on. For example, we were in an area for about 15 minutes with no wolves and they kept mentioning that they didnt want to come. Instead of staying there and hoping for the best, we should have moved to a different location and/or a new enclosure. We were only in the first and they said we typically see 2-3 enclosures. Overall, I would do again in a heartbeat. read more

This was an amazingly interactive visit with wolves.I took my 10 year old daughter and after a group briefing we went into the packs enclosure and sat down. The wolves roamed throughout the group visiting with everyone in a friendly, hands on way. One couple did get urinated on so be sure to bring a change of clothes. Be sure to read all of the rules concerning clothing and accesories. The volunteers were quite knowledgeable and focused on the well being of all of the animals on site. 99% of the preserve is because of volunteers and profits for to Seacrest for learning/education etc. I did the Saturday tour and it was only ~$30+ tax. You have to call to make a reservation prior. If they don't pick up, leave your name and voicemail and they'll call you back. Email them and they'll send an email to call them. Rules: Wear jeans and a t-shirt, nothing inside the cage other than a disposable camera (Approx $13 if you buy there and you can take 27 pics), keep you kiddos handled, SERIOUSLY nothing inside the cage including sunglasses (prescriptioned and regular glasses ok), caps, bags, phones, etc. They do offer to take a pick of a few wolves in a pack for $35 more. Comes in a USB. If you bring your disposable cam, the volunteers do an awesome job already taking good pics of you and the wolves. They'll feed the wolves grounded meat in front of you so you get to pet and kiss the wolves. The interaction is awesome!! There's gray wolves, arctic wolves, small animals including arctic fox, red fox, raccoons, peacocks, and descented skunks. It all started with.... I'll let you find out at the tour =) GO!! My best friend and I decided to check out this place and so glad that we did!!! It was an amazing experience. I was looking forward to learning about the wolves but was super estactic to learn that we could actually interact with them. You do have to call to reserve your spot and they only offer public tours on Saturdays. The tour starts at 1pm (I believe) and you have to check in around noon. It was like $25 per person. It's a group style setting so you will be doing the tour with other people and it does get packed. They do offer VIP tours as well on weekdays. Be prepared to spend at least 4+ hours here. FOLLOW THE CLOTHING RESTRICTIONS AND RULES!! Don't wear open-toed shoes. Wear comfortable clothing, tennis shoes, no jewelry. I had on a jacket and sweatpants that day. The volunteers had me tuck in the hood of my jacket because they didn't want the wolves to tug on it. Also, they strongly suggest not to carry around your cell phone because the wolves might think it's a toy. We could only take photos with disposable cameras. You can bring your own, but they sell it at their shop too. The volunteers were very helpful and made sure that everything went accordingly. I like the tour guide as he was very informative every step of the tour. Alot of the volunteers were very knowledgeable. There's a few packs that you get to interact with including Arctic, Grey, and Ambassador Wolves. The wolves were so adorable and some will even jump on you and give you a huge lick on the face. They were very comfortable around people and I didn't see any of them that showed any aggression towards anyone. I loved Mishka, the Arctic Wolf! He was so sweet and came right up to us and let us pet him. The guides and volunteers will take a picture of you with the Ambassador Wolves during that segment of the tour. The Ambassador Wolves were very loud and playful, but friendly. One of them loves to lick your face and head haha. Expect a long line for pictures. You can tell that they take really good care of the wolves as they all looked happy and healthy. With your admission, you also get to visit the small animal enclosure that includes Artic foxes, foxes, raccoons, skunks, etc. And yes, you can touch all of them. My friend got to hold a skunk and we both got to touch an Artic fox (felt like a fluffy cloud). It was an unforgettable experience and can't wait to be back. Definitely go on the cooler months as when it's too hot, the wolves may not be as playful. read more

Not only is this place a not for profit which contributes to wolf preservation, but it is also an educational location which has an abundance of knowledge to share with the public about these misrepresented babies. A first class experience, our guide and photographer, Annette and Barb were a joy and great advocates for the wolves. They gave us lots of information and Barb made sure she took hundreds of photos. We had opted for the private tour, so it was just Paul, myself and the ladies. We had two lovely hours where we were petted, kissed and nuzzled by the wolves as much as we petted them. Soft, clean fur and sparkling eyes, we are in love! The wolves have lots of space to roam and we rolled around in the dirt with them. There is no breeding currently and has not been for a few years, this is to avoid inbreeding. It's December and the she-wolfs are separated from their men in nice spacious pens that have been built in the general area of each pack (the she wolves can keep an eye on their men). So yes, the private tour feels expensive but after 2 minutes we were saying best money we had spent all year. It was a humbling experience being loved on by these wolves and I felt like crying many times. I can't imagine being in a group tour of 100 or more people and I hope there is not a return to these tours after Covid. The experience would be very different for wolves and people alike. We shall return in May when she she-wolves are reunited with their loves, as Annette and Barb told us we would get a different experience. read more

If you are an animal lover and you haven't been to Seacrest Wolf Preserve, you must add this to your bucket list. Never in my life did I think I would be able to interact face-to-face with full-blooded wolves. There are three different kinds of tours: Saturday Tours, Group Tours and VIP Tours, all of which require reservations. My wife and I made the 5 hour drive from Orlando to go on a Saturday Tour ($35) and it was worth both every minute in the car and every penny spent. Be sure to familiarize yourself with rules and clothing requirements ahead of time. For example, you cannot bring your phone or digital cameras into the wolf enclosure. You can, however, bring a disposable camera or purchase one for use on site. Also, be sure to wear a top that goes up to your neck, pants without holes, and closed-toe shoes. The check-in progress is (unnecessarily) long, so be sure to arrive early. You'll sign some paperwork and have the opportunity to pay via credit card in a line wrapped through their gift store. It would have been much preferable if the volunteers accepting cash outside were equipped with credit card readers, too. The tour began promptly at 1 PM and we, plus about 100-150 other individuals, were led into a wolf enclosure. The primary sitting arrangement was cross-crossed on the ground in bands. While listening to information about the preserve and wolfs in general, volunteers (equipped with meat snacks) led the wolves through the bands of sitting people. With the recommendation of one of the volunteers, I blew in one of the wolf's face and was provided a kiss in exchange. This is easily one of my favorite life experiences. My wife didn't have the same opportunity and was equally grateful ;). Later, we were all brought out of the enclosure and let back in as part of our respective groups (i.e. my wife and I, a group of friends, etc). This provided us a few minutes of one-on-one time with the wolves and the opportunity to take 6-8 photos with them. All of these photos were available for purchase on a flash drive for $35. We took advantage of this and absolutely love our photos. Once all of the groups were done taking photos, we were taken to a small animal encounter. There, we were able to play with skunks, feed raccoons, and pet foxes. I had no idea one of my favorite parts of the trip would be feeding an almond to a raccoon through a fence. My (second) small complaint leading to my deduction of 1 star: The whole tour, which was supposed to last approximately 3 hours, took approximately 5 hours. Normally I wouldn't be frustrated with having more time at an experience, but at least a third of this time was spent completely idle. Employees kept reiterating how this was due to "the wolves not cooperating," but this was clearly due to poorly managed time. If the tour was broken up into two groups instead of one group of 100-150 individuals, the photo portion wouldn't have taken 1.5 hours. While others are getting their photos taken, you and your party are simply sitting around. When I heard someone expressing a concern about this, the employee shut her down and then lied to a group of people that she was just "frustrated that she had a long drive home." It's clear that others have voiced this concern before, as evidenced by other reviews. A word to Seacrest: please increase your receptivity to constructive feedback! Bottom line: Schedule your tour now and you won't regret it. Just make sure you are prepared in attire, cameras, and expectations regarding time. read more

A great place for anyone who wants an up close and personal experience with wildlife! I've had a few friends visit Seacrest over the years and I've always heard great things, so we finally made the decision to visit one Saturday for their public tour. It's a bit of a drive at 1 3/4 hours from Tallahassee and a little hidden in rural Chipley, but not terribly difficult overall. We arrived at 11:45pm as we had been told that tours start at 12pm, but then it didn't start until 1pm, which was a bit disappointing. I wasn't exactly happy to just sit for an extra hour on a cold and rainy day. Regardless, once the tour started, we enjoyed ourselves, getting to actually pet the wolves and interact with them. It was so cool to howl with a wolfpack! We visited two different enclosures of wolves, one grey and one arctic, before spending quality time with the small animals. The skunks were so freaking cute and I loved getting to hold them for a while. I also loved the foxes, which you can to pet. Our guides throughout the tour were all very friendly and informative, answering any questions from the group and keeping things lively with discussion while the wolves wound around you. Make sure to bring a disposable camera to capture the experience or book the private photo-op!
