They have a new very young giraffe named Dorothy that came from Kansas, she is so sweet and gave my daughter all the licks!!!! This zoo is still one of our favorites, I love how close up the animals are. It is so intimate! They offer animal encounters as well. Staff will walk around with reptiles to pet. They have a small concessions stand that sells cold drinks, popcorn, pretzels & nachos. They sell bird feed sticks, goat feed, alligator feed & lettuce for Dorthy. We have memberships. Unfortunately, there is NO member line. So when there is a LONG line, yes you have to wait for anyone who is buying tickets to enter. Hoping they can change that in the near future. We absolutely loved our alligator encounter! So many baby alligators! Staff is so knowledgeable and take great care of the animals here. We learn so much from the staff. I love their enthusiasm for teaching the public about the animals. Definitely come support this amazing small zoo, you won't regret it. read more

This is not your typical big city zoo. It's small but well maintained. They still have plenty of cute animals to go around. They are known for their 15 min encounters with different animals. First time I visited I did the sloth encounter and it was amazing! To be so close and feed these guys was something else! I went back in May of this year (2025) and was sad to discover their enclosure was being remodeled and the encounter for them was unavailable. Im sure it will be nice when their new home is done! Such a fun place! We've been in town for 3 months and have been to Zoo World three times! Just to come as general admission you'll probably spend about an hour checking out all the animals. You can pay $45 per person for a 15 minute experience with animals (lemurs, cabybara, kangaroos, tapir, a baby alligator, etc) which was super fun! There can be long lines, and if you show up after 3pm you may not be admitted (since they close at 4pm). The workers were all nice and the person leading our animal experiences was super knowledgeable! read more

We came here before heading to the ocean and it did not disappoint. Loved feeding the emus, llamas, goats, etc. We really enjoyed ourselves.

The rating is based on their ticket system.. there were two lines and the employees didn't know where we should go. It was hot and sunny and we stood there for 15 minutes with about 100 other people before we left. We came back later and their computers moved so slowly we would have been in line for an hour. They should mark the lines for memberships and need to purchase tickets. Once we were inside it was a cute little zoo. Exceeded expectations, small space but lots to do for kids, especially if you go early and are willing to spend on some of the extras. My 3 year old really enjoyed feeding the leaves to the giraffe. Yes it's expensive for lettuce but also a pretty unique experience. We spent about an hour feeding the rest of the animals then onto the birds. Some cool alligator and flamingos to see as well! I had a very fun time at this zoo. I saw animals not available at my local zoo, and even got to interact with some. The entrance of the zoo is at the gift shop, where you can purchase personal animal experiences with animals such as sloths, kangaroos, and lemurs. These experiences are pricey, and one thing to be cautious of is that some of the experiences don't allow touching the animal, so you're just paying to see them close up. I purchased the sloth experience and luckily got to pet and feed them. You can also purchase food pellets around the park to feed animals throughout the park. This is a more interactive zoo than the others I have experienced, and recommend it if visiting Panama City beach. read more

Overpriced and in need of a cleaning and a repair. Goats were the main feature. There is a dirty black water moat in the beginning that is surrounded by a high cement wall. Only adults can see over it so any child will not see anything. Then get to the feed the animals area with goats, rabbits, a lama, horse, fawns. There were piles of sand and a tractor to move sand around in this small area. Kind of dangerous between the heavy equipment and sand piles. The fawns and horse were trying to climb piles of sand and jump out of enclosure. Moving thru to see other animals was just sad. Either they weren't moving or the enclosure was in such bad condition there wasn't much to see. There was no giraffe. The bird enclosure was a bad experience because the birds were only wanting to fly to our shoes so walking was extremely difficult to impossible. The birds didn't want our expensive sticks of seed. Staff did not help us escape until grandchild cried in fear and we all shuffled to the exit. read more

What a wonderful place. I took my sister there for her birthday. The staff was so helpful and kind. Tony the giraffe was so gentle when feeding him the lettuce leaves. The animals were well taken care of. The highlight of the day was having our encounter with "Snail" the Sloth. Savannah the caretaker was so knowledgeable and kind. She took lots of pictures of my Sister and I and Snail. This was the topping on the birthday cake for my Sister. It's an enjoyable little zoo. If you take your time and are at the Animal Experience locations at the right then you get to pet some of the animals. The staff is friendly but seemed very busy. Reading the animal description signs was informative but would have been nicer if the staff was a bit more interactive with guests and willing to take the time and talk about the animals. The petting area of the zoo with farm animals was fun and the bird aviary was a blast. If you stand still next to the cage holding your feed sticks out they will come to you and at one time we were covered almost head to toe with birds licking the sweat off us as well as eating the seed. Although this Zoo is perfect for kids, a great size, and the animals are too cute, I think that the environment was not the greatest for each animal. They did not have fresh water, their cages were dirty, and I wish that the animals were taken care of a little bit better. Other than that, the zoo itself is perfect for kids, and I would definitely go again! It's mostly outside so be prepared weather wise! Great activity for families. read more

Everything was great! It was me my wife and our 3 year old. Cost was about $80, $25 for adults, $19.99 for kids but not sure where the age limits changes for price. The variety of species was somewhat different from most zoo's we've been too but it's spread out over 5 acres. We didn't get many pics cause as everyone who's had a three year old knows we were busy chasing lol. I would say it's definitely worth going too. Price seems average. Gift shop is expensive but they have neat things for kids. Kangaroos,alligators, feeding giraffe, and the bird cage was probably our favorite but we enjoyed it all. The baby monkeys were really fun to watch with there mommas and how they react with them. Also it was pretty humid and hot so they have misting fans in a few spots you can cool off under, several benches to stop and rest as well as shade. There's lots of shady spots which was also nice. Bathrooms on site near the barn and the alligators on the northeast side of the park. We would recommend it for sure, I mean I didn't think for such a small zoo it would be that interesting but it caught us by surprise for the size and location and it's very well taken care of! Friendly staff would come and explain certain aspects of the animals as well and just converse with you super nice folks! Go check em out your kids will enjoy it! read more

Wasn't impressed much here. We bought the entry tickets. then you spend money on top of that to feed the encounter animals. It was a hot day out and made it misery to enjoy much of it. Note to self don't come in the mid of the day. You can't bring in food or drinks. They have a small concession stand inside for icee drinks. The only excitement for me was feeding the giraffe. We had some time to kill after checking out of our beach rental before heading to the airport to fly home. We had driven by Zoo World twice during our week in PCB and I love animals so thought we would check them out. I had no expectations going in, I mean this is a touristy town and we are near the beach. I have to say I was super impressed with this little zoo! It was well staffed and the exhibit areas/animals looked well cared for. It is off season, so it was not crowded at all which was fantastic. The price of admission was very reasonable and you can pay to get a cup of food that included kibble for the farm animals and a couple of bird seed sticks with two tickets to trade for food to feed the giraffe. Keep in mind folks it takes money to run a zoo and keep it well staffed to care for the animals so a fee of $25 for an adult seemed fair to me. I love animals and absolutely loved this place that was easy to kill 2 hours in. My favorite area was actually where the Giraffe and herd animals were. The goats were absolutely adorable and there was this cute little fawn with a facial deformity named Luca who had been rejected by his mother and being looked after by a cow. I was mesmerized by the alligator pond area, although they did not seem too interested in the alligator kibble we were throwing in to them. The big cats and bear were up and about which was also pretty cool. What I loved about all the exhibit areas were you feel up close to the critters. If you have small children, I would imagine this zoo would be small enough for them to enjoy without getting tired. I was perusing the mixed reviews, a little surprised. The zoo was just the right size for a family with two children under age 10. The interactive experiences are many and we did the Lemurs. Highly recommend you do at least one. Women said they have three registers working as fast as they can... if you purchased tickets already or have a membership why do you need to go to a register? Loved this cute little zoo! Had lots of interactive animal settings. Lots of bunnies, goats, Guinea pigs, llamas, donkies, ponies, etc. Not to mention the actual "encounters" with alligators and lemurs. There was also a giant bird cage that you could go into and feed the birds. Employees were wearing masks, but patrons were not required to wear them or social distance. There were plenty of containers of hand sanitizer all over the zoo and hand washing stations. read more

Animal protective services ought to pay these folks a visit. None of the animals had fresh water. They supposedly have an "on demand" water system but does that justify having the animal enclosures be filthy and the little visible water be filthy and stagnant? The flamingos were standing in mud and dipping their beaks in this filth. They were being fed what appeared to be wet dog food and most of the other animals were being provided either kibble or some sort of cracker / compressed meal shit. The tiger had green sludge water in his pen. No clear view of any water. The ONLY fresh clear water was where you could toss money and or coins in. Visible Staff seemed lazy and slow. Pens were dirty. This is a glorified petting zoo. It's pretty clear they get tons of traffic and don't care for the animals. They can get away with it. One bad review or call for action won't matter to them. Or authorities ? For the $76 entry for two adults and one child they are minting it for a small zoo and putting zero back into animal welfare or enclosures. Plenty of missing plaques across displays. Animals didn't seem visibly distressed, but man, I'm talking bare minimum care. They certainly didn't seem thriving to me. I seriously call on their operations director or veterinarian to speak up here. One thing is being a small zoo, another is doing the bare minimum to keep profits high and costs low. I'm disappointed and saddened. Something has to change and be done here. read more

As long as you know what you're walking in to & are aware of the extra charges up front; then you should be good. We did 3 'extras'. SLOTH: I was excited about this one, but unfortunately we didn't get offered to actually hold the sloths. We did feed them while standing on a step ladder. It was cool to pet them & see them up close; but nothing too too exciting. KANGAROO: Right now the baby is not really wanting to be held anymore. One out of 4 of us held him. We did get to interact a lot with him, pet him, etc though. Our guide Erica was fabulous & very informative! LEMUR: I would do this one again & again. The Lemurs are so friendly & this was very interactive. You sit down, they come to you, they climb up in your lap, hang on you, etc. But if you don't want to be licked - don't go. Lol. They lick non stop. This experience was awesome & again, Erica was as well! The farm area was fun, goats running freely. (Buy a cup of food at the register). The alligator area was not too exciting- there were a bunch of them, but they were all laying outside the water sunbathing. Overall my daughter & I had a great day there! We are here in pcb and since it was raining today we decided to go to the zoo, $90 dollars for 3 people and a little cup of "feed" , 3 sticks for birds and two tickets to feed a giraffe. I will say that feeding the birds was kinda fun but as i was walking in a guy was carrying a dead bird out. They have a tiger but in a SMALL enclosure with two small dog water bowls of water. There was a hyena that had a humongous enclosure. Why couldn't the tiger have something that big. There are many types of monkeys and don't get me wrong they are cute but there are two that are in a enclosure full of poop and we watched one of the monkeys eating it while the other one sat in a corner. The only part of the zoo we enjoyed was where you can feed the giraffe, the deer, and goats. read more

The tiger was pacing back and forth for about the 2 hours I was there, that's definitely a sign of distress.
