While this isn't billed as a tour, the ship's captain was kind enough to narrate the landmarks (including each owner of the the vast row of yachts docked nearby!) that we were passing as well as each of the stops and what adventures could be had there. She was really entertaining and kind, as she also helped with several lost travelers standing at one of the stations. It was a smooth ride on a sunny day and the views were absolutely gorgeous. FYI, there are no amenities on board, so no concession stand or washrooms, although the ride roundtrip is only around 40 minutes -you don't really need it to begin with.

Very convenient AquaBus ride from Granville Island straight over to Yaletown, spending some time walking around and hanging out there, and then coming back to Granville Island for the rest of the day. It's such a short and sweet ride, but you still get to enjoy beautiful views of False Creek along the way. Another favourite is taking it over toward Science World and making a whole afternoon out of it. You can visit Science World, walk around False Creek and then head back to Granville Island. It's also really pretty at night when all the lights and signs are reflecting on the water. After spending a long day at Granville Island, hopping on the boat and just enjoying the ride is such an easy way to end the day. And the best part is that it's cheap! For the price, it's such a fun little Vancouver experience and something I keep coming back to and always making sure to have my out of town guests join in as well!

We bought our tickets at the Capital City Station on Douglas Street in Victoria, and Sandy was absolutely wonderful, friendly, helpful, and patient. She even got us seats for October 13, 2025, which was Thanksgiving. Every company needs a Sandy, she deserves 5 stars for her service. Once we boarded the bus, things went downhill. Our driver, James wasn't very approachable. His responses were short, and he came across as a bit grouchy. It was a holiday, so we understand, but as first-time passengers, we found his instructions unclear and he seems to not welcome questions. When the ferry docked at Tsawwassen, we didn't hear it was time to reboard the bus to continue to downtown Vancouver. We missed the announcement and ended up being left behind, but our checked bags and personal items were still in the bus to Vancouver. Thankfully, the staff at Tsawwassen terminal were great. They guided us, called ahead to Pacific Station BC Ferries, and made sure we could retrieve our bags. When we finally reunited with the bus, James didn't seem particularly concerned or empathetic, which made an already stressful situation feel worse. We blame ourselves for missing the bus. But for future improvements, clearer announcements and louder overhead speakers would help first-time travelers. Even a quick name call for missing passengers would go a long way.

Once on the boat you can hang out in your car, sit inside by a window, visit one of their many dining options or my personal favorite hang out on the upper deck. It's pretty hard to tell which direction the ferry is going next though unless you're very familiar with the routes, so make sure you ask the driver just in case. I find that the ones I've interacted with all ask you where you're going before letting you on, so at least I haven't taken the wrong boat yet. They have a zone system for ticketing and at first it was a bit confusing for which zone ticket was needed to go where. But they have nice maps at each stop so it wasn't too hard to decipher after awhile. The boat drivers were also pretty nice and were happy to answer questions about tickets. I took the boats during the Big Picnic event at David Lam park. There were other people on the boat but it was not crowded at all. Boats also came all the time and so we didn't have to wait much before ours came. The boat doors were left open when I rode the boats and so it was really nice to be able to take pictures and videos without obstruction from the windows or clear screens. The creek is relatively calm most of the time and the rides are short, so most people probably won't get sea sick.

I don't think it should be named a "ferry" terminal when it's a CRUISE SHIP TERMINAL. Well, we learned quickly and drove about an hour to this Tsawwassen Ferry Terminal. We didn't have reservations, but luckily we're able to board as "walk-ins". The ride was uneventful. There was a gift shop, cafeteria, and restrooms available. We had brought snacks, so we ate on board. We were able to walk around the outside of the ferry after we parked our car and made a note of what level and what stairway were closest. Overall, it was an alright experience. We know what to do next time!

I spent for $12 for round trip and before you get on the ferry, the clerk takes away it from your hand. On way back to Horseshoe bay, no need to pay and there is nobody to check the ticket status even for car passenger. That was wow. We were provided waiting room A in Horseshow bay side. However in the same room, there were passengers for Langdale. And when two fleets arrived, we were devided for two group by clerk's yelling. No digital signage. Our group for Bowen Island needed to go down stairs to get in. I just wished they had better way to sort passengers. No nead to yell, right? I understood later, due to fleet size, our foot passenger had to go in like cars. The fleet was clean enough. There is cafeteria, snack and drink vending machines for 20 min ride.

Unlike other ferries, the vehicle fare doesn't include the driver. Reservation change also incur a $5 fee, so it's with double checking your schedule before booking. The check in window is also pretty strict, it opens 60 mins before departure and closes 30 mins before departure. The ferries themselves are large, modern and well equipped with multiple passenger and vehicle decks, cafeteria, shops and plenty of seating. The journey itself was smooth and the view along the way was great.

Because of an accident, I had to change my reservation to a day earlier. We needed to get off the island ASAP and get back to the states in case my wife needed to see a doctor or be hospitalized. Customer service was good to work with. They listened to my story and helped me change my reservation a couple of times. No waiving of fees, not that I was hoping for fee waiver. They did their job and was able to make reservations on the ferry that my wife wanted. Car boarding instructions was a little unclear. I wanted to keep my wife in the car as we made our crossing. I was told that we were supposed to go up to the seating area. Later on I found out that she could've stayed in the car. It was a nice ferry ride from Victoria to Vancouver. It was very smooth compared to the Port Angeles to Victoria ferry ride where it was a little rough. Also, the BC Ferry to/from Victoria and Vancouver is scheduled for almost every hour. BC Ferries is like a well oiled machine. I most likely will take it again to make up for what our medical emergency made us miss.

They claimed smoke in the engine room and limped back to port before we even turned into the Arm. Other reviews have reported unexplained itinerary changes that eliminated the main part of the trip. One has to wonder if they don't go up the Arm simply to save money when it's not fully booked or if their boats are that unreliable. While I understand mechanical issues, their compensation policy was completely inadequate. They offered a free drink on board and a coupon for 15% off a future cruise. Anyone booking on the internet can get a 20% discount off any cruise! After much back and forth they finally offered a 20% refund. The final price after this discount was approximately double the price of a narrated harbor tour. We received an un-narrated tour of the container port instead of a tour of the natural environment, which is what we were promised. We feel cheated by Harbour Cruises of Vancouver. Sail at your own risk!
