Pretty much unchanged since the 1980s. Futuristic look back then. Now it looks like a worn down space station. To be honest, the station itself isn't very good for several reasons. First, it doesn't actually span the road - the entrances are only on the E side. Secondly, the original station was obviously built without accessibility in mind. The staircases are narrow and steep. There are also no escalators. Looks like they added a ramp as part of a later series of renovations. Lastly, the platform area is pretty cramped. Yes it does the job, but it's definitely not one of the nicer stations in the network.

Once the counter opened, we were instructed to line up based on seat types: business or coach. Going through the custom was quick and easy. Though they don't stamp anymore, the agent was very nice to stamp it for us since it was my daughter first time out of the country and re-entry. The train ride will last for 4 hrs and 25 mins. We got food from Ekki Sushi so we could eat dinner on the train.

Pretty sure it used to be a train station way back. The Canada and Expo lines can be traversed here, but involves walking through a long tunnel. Being underground, the station also has multiple exit scattered throughout the vicinity which is pretty useful. Fun fact - the first Starbucks location outside USA is located in the historic building part of the station.

Basically show up and take the train out of Richmond. There is some neat mirror artwork on the platform level. Something to look at while using the escalators. Speaking of escalators, my one complaint is that the escalator only goes up. Anyone heading down has to take the stairs. With that said, I'm sure there's an elevator somewhere.

Useful for getting into Coquitlam.
