Efficient and well managed terminal with a good sized indoor quay/market. Quay has a good variety of food choices and shops .. ladies restroom is a bit of a trek but has plenty of stalls so wait wasn't bad. Nice sized grassy lot for the doggos to have their bathroom break as well

Ages 12+: $20, Ages 5-11: $10, Vehicle: +$75 The ferry itself was fine. I had a good experience with the ride. The seats are comfortable. They had a LOT of amenities, such as cafes, lounges, vending machines, gift shop, kids zone, pet area, work/study area, charging stations, and many more! You can also enjoy the beautiful view. I heard that you might also get to see some whales, but I didn't see any. I don't like how they don't allow you to reserve tickets for more than one vehicle. I was traveling with family and had to make two separate reservations (one car with 3 adults and one child and the other with 4 adults and one baby). We made some changes on who would ride on which car when we left. We arrived at the check-in station and told the staff that even though one car now has 3 adults and one baby and the other has 4 adults and one child, the total number is the same. The staff said he would talk to the staff at the next booth about this and let us go. However, the other staff was not helpful and didn't allow it. We even had one person walked over to get on the other car so that it's the same as the reservation, but she still charged us $15!!! So outrageous. I think it just depends on your luck, because the first staff was gonna let us go without charging us extra. On our way back, we had one person walked over and hopped on the other car just before checking in.

We travel to the Island at least once a year. We will be going again in July. The ferry isn't bad. it is inexpensive. Travel isn't bad. If you are taking a car, it is best to make a reservation. If you are walking on than it doesn't matter. The ferry is quite clean inside. Nothing too wow. For the price of around $18 each way for walk on, I don't expect too much from it.

The lines to board the ferry are orderly and they have several people directing cars on and off the boats. It's very well organized. The indoor waiting area has a good selection of cuisines including Japanese, American, Chinese, and Mexican. They also have a Starbucks and a Rocky Chocolate Factory. Additionally, they have a few gift stores towards the back of the hall. My only complaint, is that the seating area is cramp and limited. There are a few tables in the middle of the hallway, but the location is not the best.

I like that this ferry serves hot meals on board. The ferry was clean. I miss the 7pm sailing and have to wait for the last sailing at 9pm. That was a long wait for my kiddos and it was a hot day too.

I was 3 minutes late for my reservation Due to the lineup paying they did not let me on .. they are heartless people .. shitty outfit And they still charged me for the Reservation

This little gem was a surprise! While waiting in line for your ferry appointment you can hop out of the car, grab a starbucks, go to an ATM, get food (mexican, pizza, rocky mountain chocolate and more!). There is a great little shop with an awesome selection of hats and beautiful scarves. Bathrooms also available! Everything is clean and pleasant.

This was the first time that I ever road a ferry that also transports cars. We were on a tour bus that was headed to Victoria Island. After our bus pulled up to the line, we had about 25 minutes before our bus was to board the ferry so we headed into the ferry terminal to check it out. There's a bunch of different shops to buy souvenirs, vendors selling different kinds of food, a lottery shop, and a Starbucks. It's a cool place to roam around and kill time. The food and desserts that were served by the different vendors looked good too. I was already full so I didn't get anything. This place is definitely a cool place to hang out before getting on the ferry. Just make sure to keep track of time while you get lost browsing inside this terminal or you may get left behind.

Food court, gift shops, kid playground, and washrooms - all the great amenities for the weary travelers. We absolutely love this particular terminal!

Review #068 - 2018 I've never been on a large ferry boat before so I wasn't sure what to expect. I was actually a little worried about daughter since she's still quite young & I don't know if she'd end up with motion sickness & get sea sick. Thank goodness neither of us ended up with any problem at all. While we were waiting for the ferry, we decided to walk around the terminal area and had a cup of gelato at the Ice Cream Store, I think that was name of the shop. I got a single scoop of hazelnut while my niece had the single scoop of mango. Mine was just ok, but tasted kind of grainy for some odd reason. I also ended up purchasing some t-shirts as souvenirs for my sisters, which were not overpriced, surprisingly. They also have a small playground out front for the kids, but it was freezing so we didn't go outside. The boat is definitely huge and had plenty of seats so we had no problem finding a seating area. They also have a small children's area, which was nice for parents with small kids. My daughter and niece definitely appreciated that. The ticket prices were pretty reasonable. I think it was 17 CAD for adults & 5 CAD for kids over 5 or something, and 51 CAD per vehicle.

There is Tsawwassen Mills Outlets and a water park near by this ferry terminal. There is also some plaza near by with some eateries.

From start to finish--ticket purchase, boarding, departure, and arrival--the whole experience was seamless and well organized. The ferry itself is spacious with plenty of seating, both indoor and outdoor areas, so it never felt cramped. There's room to walk around, relax, enjoy the views, grab a bite to eat, and even browse a small gift shop. It felt more like part of the journey than just transportation. Food options onboard were okay--nothing memorable, but decent enough if you need something during the crossing. Overall, a comfortable, stress-free way to travel and a great start to a Victoria Island getaway.

Review #2 for 2026…read more We used the ferry to take a day trip to Victoria while in Vancouver. The ferry is big! You can even drive your own car on the ferry! There is plenty of seating!! No need to rush on board to be one of the first ones seated. Unless you plan on sleeping the entire trip, you will most likely be changing seats at some point. We sure did! We went to different places to get different views. There is both inside and outside seating. Sitting outside can get very cold and windy depending on the season. We went during mid-May and it was very cold and windy outside. Only went out for a little bit to look around and take pictures. They have a cafe inside and the prices are actually pretty decent. Food is premade, so I do not think you can customize very much. They just scoop it like at a cafeteria. The ferry itself is very affordable. I think it converted to about $25 round trip per person for the ferry. If you bring a car, it believe it does cost significantly more. If you get there early, like we did, you can also ask to board an earlier ferry as to not wait around. We were not thinking properly and refused to pay the few bucks to get on the earlier ferry and instead waited around for about an hour. They also tell you to get there and check in an hour before your ferry. Trust me, that is not necessary. There was other people who go there early like we did and we had to wait in the check in area. You were not allowed to go past the entrance to the inside waiting area until it was close to boarding time, like 15 minutes before. The inside waiting area has bathrooms and a store like cafe with snacks and coffee. After waiting, we regretted not paying the extra few bucks to just board on an earlier ferry so we could get going and have more time in Victoria! The trip takes about 1.5 hours each way. I do not know how much parking is here as we took an uber (expensive ~$90 EACH way) from downtown Vancouver. Know that this place is pretty far from downtown Vancouver and takes nearly an hour to get to!! They also have public transit that comes here for a fraction of the cost, but we had a group and a 14 month old so we did not want to navigate public transit and deal with transfers to get here. However, once you get to Victoria, there is a public bus you can take for a few dollars that will take you directly downtown and is way cheaper than a $60 uber ride. It will take about 45 minutes from the ferry station to downtown Victoria when you arrive. Next time we will rent our own car in Vancouver, ubers are expensive in Vancouver. Anyways, the ferry ride itself is pretty smooth. I have read that some people spotted whales, but there were no whales spotted during our ferry ride. Would I go on this ferry again? Yes! I plan on coming back to Vancouver in the future and I do plan on going back to Victoria as we did not have enough time to explore the island. I think the ferry is the only way to get here unless you arrive by certain cruise ships that stop in Victoria. However, the ferry is a very affordable way to get to Victoria. It is also very easy to navigate. It is just far from downtown Vancouver.

I park, walk toward the bus and HE MOVES AND DRIVES PASSED ME! It would have taken 30 seconds to let me on. My ticket was stamped at 6:14. I had to wait 24 minutes in 28C temperature for him to drive back, drive passed me again to park at the far end of the lot in the shade...then come and let me on at 6:38. UNBELIEVABLE. I figured there was some kind of mistake, so when I boarded I asked politely why he couldn't pick me up when I was standing there. He pushes a laminated rule book in my face saying, yelling "rules! there are rules! must be on time! must follow schedule. Read! Read!" I get that buddy but there were NO OTHER GUESTS waiting but me. The bus was mostly empty when it left. It would have taken 30 seconds to let me board! I was RIGHT THERE! A basic common respect of passengers would suggest a slight judgment call here. Even if somehow he couldn't, he could have simply been polite about it but man what a total jerk he was. So much attitude, yelling, and total obnoxiousness. WOW. The bus driver even drove quickly to the ferry terminal a few times because he knew I would have missed the ferry!! I was very appreciative of that. They try to park their shuttle as close to where you park your car when possible if they don't have too many other parkers in other areas. You can park your car where ever there is space. They aren't picky. I figure I did a lot less walking with their shuttle from there to the terminal than you have to when in the Ferry terminal long-term parking, which I had to look all over for their shuttle and just ended up walking the distance. When you come back, just wait for them to arrive as they come for each sailing to pick people up or drop off. So good deal and cheaper than the ferry terminal parking.

But they have nice maps at each stop so it wasn't too hard to decipher after awhile. The boat drivers were also pretty nice and were happy to answer questions about tickets. Our driver, James wasn't very approachable. His responses were short, and he came across as a bit grouchy. It was a holiday, so we understand, but as first-time passengers, we found his instructions unclear and he seems to not welcome questions.
