We did the ocean bluffs hike, and the woman in charge, Dana, was really accommodating to our plans (it was all tentative because of the rain). We were in contact prior to that weekend, and she was quick with emailing me back which I really appreciated. She even emailed me while I was enroute from Oakland to wear boots because it will be wet, and I had been debating over my shoe options! So thoughtful. She planned a fantastic hike for us and set up an adorable little picnic table for my bf and I, and it was all perfect (gorgeous day too after a day of rain).

And got one email that it didn't wasn't verified. However, we later got three separate confirmation emails from Vacasa and Expedia that the reservation was complete. So we thought it was fine since we put in all the info we needed to. So we pull up to the property on the day of only to realize we never received any codes or login info. We had no reception for a couple of miles and had to drive out 2 miles and pull over on the highway just to call the Vacasa reps. We called, asked for the codes to get in. They said our booking didn't go through because they couldn't verify our identify from the info we uploaded (? It was a valid CA ID matching the booking info. It was so confusing. Told us to rebook that night even though we literally didn't have reception to be able to do that and had already paid. WHILE we were ON THE PHONE trying to ask them how to rebook, we got an email that our booking was canceled because of the security thing and THE TRIP WAS NON REFUNDABLE. THEY CANCELED ON US LAST MINUTE and LEFT US STRANDED AFTER TAKING OUR MONEY. 0/10 experience. If we don't get a refund we will be contacting lawyers. Long story short again because I am just that upset: confusing booking process, impersonal and disorganized. Despite us receiving THREE CONFIRMATION EMAILS they CANCELED OUR RESERVATION AFTER WE GOT THERE. And said the reservation that THEY canceled was UNREFUNDABLE. It was a nightmare. Thankfully we could even find another hotel and could afford to book it on the spot. They just took our money and left us stranded.

The outside looks very modest, but when you get into the rooms, they were clean comfortable and offer nice places to sit outside while you have your lunch and look at the water and hear the ocean waves breaking below. I would return to this place in a minute. Everyone that worked here was helpful and nice. And I would recommend if you're going there go to the south end of the building and on the second floor they have an outdoor sitting area where you can look at the ocean and have your lunch under canopies. Enjoy this place we will be back. If you're ever in Fort Bragg, be sure also to visit the nearby glass beach. It's really famous and it's fun to poke around there. You can also catch the skunk train easily from this location.

When is "Free wifi" not free?…read more When it barely works at all... So my wife and I stayed in a pet suit, while our son was in the middle of the resort, and our daughter was at the south end. Nobody had wifi that worked well. You'd get maybe a minute or two connected, then offline. There's no AC, but the pet suite had a decent cross flow of air. The kids rooms however did not, just a small bathroom window near the front, and a sliding glass door near the back. Not really something you can securely leave open all night. The rooms themselves were clean and well maintained, offering a TV, a microwave and a mini fridge. Staff was very responsive, we called for extra towels and coffee, received them right away. Key cards seemed to be an issue for us and other guests. We had to return to the front desk several times due to non-functional cards. We saw several other guests return as well. Location is pretty nice. Right by the shore and at the south end of town. There's a handful of bikes for rent which is nice. Several places to eat well within biking distance, including a Denny's. The firepit area and BBQ's though, need to have some sort of reservation system. We had one family monopolizing one corner. All in all, a fair balance of positives and negatives except when you get to the price. You're paying on the high side, so you expect a little better. The pet room was fun though, our dog enjoyed having her own little spot to go in and out.

It's only 3.5 stars on Yelp so we passed and ate on our way. We were running late so that was really our only option to get lunch on our way to work. On the phone they asked us our arrive time and according to the gps it said 1hr and 12 minutes. She said she'll try to have our room ready as people were just checking out now. We arrived at 1:30 pm on Tuesday, May 4th 2026. To our amazement our room was ready, we weren't expecting that as we were so early. It was a blessing as I had to get to work in the room, we can work remotely sometimes. They also upgraded us to a room with a view. And it's a remarkable view of the ward and harbor. You can hear the sea lions, I believe barking at each other and many species of bird singing. There is a balcony with chairs you can sit out on too. The room has its own thermostat which keeps the room toasty warm on low and it's quiet. I can't recall what kind of unit it is but it's in the blood bad it quietly pushes hot air out. The room has a kireg type machine with sorted coffee, large mini fridge and freezer, and microwave. There is a desk and lounge chair and big screen tv with multiple channels. The shower/tub and toilet is separate from the vanity. The light to the tub/ toilet are is on the outside and the fan is extremely loud, so loud that it will wake up your mates who are in a deep slumber, so that's a minus. They have a ground floor that requires no steps and has a ramp that goes around to additional rooms. Other than that there are a lot of steps and no elevator that we've seen. So if you don't do stairs pick the ground floor and walk in on the lobby side. The lobby has all day tea, coffee, hot chocolate complimentary. They also have snacks and drinks for purchase: rice a Toni, Mac n cheese, spaghetti o's chicken noodle soup, tuna/chicken and crackers, chips, jerky oatmeal, and cold cereal. As for drinks they have juice boxes, milk, Gatorade, matcha, ect. No alcohol that I could see. The wharf is a 15 min walk or 3 min drive and they have seafood restaurants there. Across the street is Homestyle cafe for breakfast and lunch and you're a few min from downtown. This is a great location.

The RVs are spacious floor plans to accommodate families and smaller for couples or solos, and each is set up at a campsite complete with picnic table, fire ring and full hookups. The tiny homes are quaint and complete, with everything well thought out. Ours had a lot with two twin beds, tv, and room to layout suitcases. We out a pack and play up there and still had room to spare. Downstairs was a full kitchen with oven/micro/stovetop (no dishwasher), kitchen table with bench and two seats, rolling island for additional storage, living room with full size sofa, coffee table and sitting chair, and lots of windows to bring in the scene of the harbor. natural light and bay breeze. Outside we had a gas bbq, patio furniture and communal picnic tables and seating out on the pier, which we overlooked. It was serene and exciting to watch the seals and otters at play and the boats coming in and out of the harbor day and night. The view was never boring and we enjoyed every minute. I also loved that you could see out to the ocean, which looked very peaceful and calm during our stay. Best of all, you're close to several good seafood restaurants, in the heart of the charter fishing in Fort Bragg, can crab right from the pier if youre staying on property and the owners are responsive, helpful and swift to reply.
