A Breathwork session led by Spirit camp owners and stewards, Julian and Nathaniel, moved immense energies and there was a moment of release that felt both emotional and physical, like something finally reorganized. We went on a Saturday morning in February, so the experience was peaceful, quiet, and calm. While not a whole lot of animals were out during our slot (just doing their animal thing!), we were still able to see a nice variety of species. The absolute highlight was getting to feed the giraffes at the end of the tour! They are such majestic creatures, and it was a fun, interactive activity. We finished the tour fairly quickly since many animals weren't right up against the fence that day, but it's a fantastic activity to add to your itinerary if you're spending a full day exploring the coast. You can truly tell that the caretakers value and care deeply for these animals. It's a great experience that supports an excellent cause!

Gabi is a highly skilled masseuse and Richard is a master craftsman, so together they have created this incredible spot. You can come for the day and get a massage, perhaps combining it with a hike at the Van Damme State Park, or you can chose to stay the night (or in our case 8 nights) in the gorgeous barn, which Richard renovated. Here are the highlights. Massages: --Swedish 60 minute massage by Gabi was perfect --My husband and I liked our massages so much we booked massages later in the week --Gorgeous, clean setting on the top level of their renovated barn --Just a 10 minute drive from downtown Mendocino --You can combine getting a massage with hiking at the Van Damme State Park (free parking lot a 2 minute drive from the massage studio) Vacation Rental: --Perfect for anyone who wants more privacy than a B&B. --Clean, high ceilings, spacious feeling --Radiant floor heating and beautiful attention to detail throughout the home --Perfect for 2 people or families --Includes a fenced in front yard with a grill and outdoor seating --Well-stocked kitchen --Quiet, calm, peaceful --Gabi and Richard treat you like neighbors--plenty of privacy but also very kind I would have been happy to keep this little gem to ourselves, but Gabi and Richard have earned my respect and they deserve a good review! The location is ideal for a sunny peaceful spot away from tourists. Dreamy bed and we loved the living room/ den for curling up with movies at night. Kitchen is beautifully appointed- everything you could need. The oversize bath tub is a dream- extra deep and longer than most typical baths. Very private entrance through a charming garden. Extremely well priced given all the space and the high end furnishings. We plan to return every chance we get to travel to the coast.

Big soaking spa tub, shower, electric fireplace for heat, microwave, TV, excellent comfortable king size bed, privacy including a deck where dogs can come out but cannot escape. Facility is older but in decent shape. Wish room had refrigerator. Lots of towels, large sized shampoo, conditioner, body wash, lotion: a plus. It's older, renovations due for shower and maybe windows and exterior. The bed was amazing!!! Property lists hot tub and sauna but neither were working or available for use. BBQ on site. Adirondack chairs throughout the property, some have a lot of bird dung on them so unusable. Deck in the large grassy area with seating. Huge lawn area, plenty of room to walk dogs around, play or throw a ball or frisbee. Mowed, clean. Poop bags and garbage disposal stations in variorus locations on the property. Rooms stocked with water and food bowls, eating/water tray as well as dog beds, dog sheet, towels and frisbees. Grounds clean, everyone picks up after their dogs. Plenty of room to run. Friendly, welcoming, professional staff members. Greeted with a welcome and glad you're here, hope you enjoy your time with us. Asked about my stay when I checked out and thanked me for staying. Don't forget to tip the housekeeping staff. They do a great job preparing for your stay. Quiet, private and cozy.
