Would not recommend to anyone. We booked a banana boat ride and the captain showed up late and drunk. When we refused to go the ride he starting cussing in front of our entire family and kids and harassing us. When we went to the main location to request a refund we were denied despite it being their employee who was late, drunk, and belligerent. Don't believe the 5 star reviews, everywhere on their boats this business advertises a "free gift" for people in exchange of a 5-star review (I have photo of sign). read more

We had two tours booked with Sea Rocket for September 5th, both of which were canceled due to wind. We understood that weather is out of their control and rescheduled one of the tours for September 7th, which was also canceled. While we are disappointed about the cancellations, our main issue is with the company's lack of communication regarding the refunds. We have tried to reach out multiple times via phone calls and emails to request a refund for the parasailing trip, but we have been repeatedly ignored. The only reason we were able to get a refund for the other tour was because Capital One Travel had to intervene on our behalf. It is unacceptable that we have not been refunded for the parasailing trip. It is even more concerning that Sea Rocket has been in contact with Capital One Travel to resolve a separate issue but has continued to dodge our direct inquiries. We feel that this is a very unprofessional way to handle business. We are still waiting for our refund for the parasailing trip. read more

We bought a gift certificate last winter for $580 for the Delaware location. When we tried to reserve this summer, we found out that the DE location closed. We have called and emailed numerous times with no resolution. Very disappointed. Will contact the BBB soon read more

12 of us showed up for our double decker party boat and was told it was no longer available. The reservation had been booked four months in advance and no one bothered to tell us that Sea Rocket moved from Dewey to OC. All of my phone calls and emails were ignored. I finally got my refund but the unprofessionalism of Sea Rocket was stunning. I have rented boats from other providers in the OC/DE area including Island Watersports and Shark Cove Marina, and never had an issue. I've called the main office multiple times asking for money back on a gift card. The Dewey beach location has since closed since I got the gift card. We don't live near the other locations. Both customer service reps took my call and escalated the ticket. I've also emailed asking for advice. After multiple contacts, no one has reached out to me. This is not a hard concept and it's laughable that I can't get one return phone call. After more than a decade of family fun aboard the Sea Rocket, our outing this weekend was a disappointment. The interaction between the crew and passengers was always a highlight in years past, and this year we felt ignored. There wasn't even the typical water and boat safety message, plus we missed the captain telling us about fun/interesting facts and places to visit. The host of this trip were very nice however the unfair practices are concerning. There was a family who paid for general admission but took it upon themselves to sit at the front of the boat. I saw an employee tell Croft, one of the captains , hey look at them and he just shrugged it off. So fast forward to sail off. They are going over all of the safety info and they let us know back in general admission we would get very wet. No problem we expected some sort of wetness. So I made it a point to ask well since the front of the boat is not filled can we move up. He replies no, I said well did you tell that whole family of 5 that they couldn't self upgrade their seat ? He goes they are not listening and we are going to deal with them later. Nothing happened to them later. If you're going to do this type of job, do it correctly and with morals. It's unfair and it left a bad taste in my mouth in which I will never use this company or recommend it to anyone. My thing is why should anyone pay more for the front seat if you can just walk up front and get away with it if you look a certain way. The boat was super clean. The staff was extremely friendly and provided great customer service. The ride was a lot of fun, it was great when the boat sped up and the water sprayed on to us, it was refreshing and exciting. The tour through the intracoastal was informative. My review is for the speedboat and dolphin cruise. My family and I had a great time! Extra points for playing stick figure and rebelution, I'm a fan of their music, it was a nice touch. Ash and the other crew member (I apologize I forgot his name) did an amazing job keeping things fun. They went out of their way to help people take selfies, which was awesome. Yeah we got a boat ride, but it was just scam after scam. Bowfront seating for two is advertised as $30 each, so $60 total. I paid just over $100 when all the taxes and Sea Rocket scam fees were added in, so count on your ride costing a lot more than advertised. Scam "fuel surcharge" - sorry dudes, include it in the ticket price, not added just before the tickets are purchased. The taxes and non-itemized fees were higher than any other rides, food, hotel we did in O.C., so unsure of how much that scam was. The most ridiculous scam was the two guys operating the boat telling us repeatedly that they were paid like waiters and bartenders and were paid mostly by tips. Really?? They are responsible for operating a licensed, regulated commercial boat operation, taking eighty people into the ocean, and work mostly for tips? read more

So my honey and I decided to take a weekend trip from Pennsylvania to Ocean City, MD I wanted to find something's for us to do and Sea Rocket was first thing to come up, the booking was easy/fast and the ride was amazing. We didn't get to see any dolphins but we were informed that we may not see any which is fine, the ride alone was fun just being out in the ocean . Some of us fell off. No problem. Well apparently the previous riders broke the ladder. So when we fell off we had no way of getting back onto the boat. One of us had to be pulled in by holding onto the little medal things the rope gets tide onto!! We were way out there!!!!! This is unsafe and unexceptable. Our ride should of been reschedule. We were on the boat for 5 minutes before someone fell off and then we spent the rest of the time pulling someone in because there was no ladder to get them back into the boat!! One of our people had to eventually pull the person by holding onto eachothers hands.  No apologize. Nothing. We were told if we fall off and can't get back onto the banana there would be a ladder to climb back into the boat. False. I'm guessing it is not coast guard approved to go out with the boat that has no ladder to get people back in if the go over board. No rope, no nothing safety wise. So I posted a review earlier on Google while I was absolutely furious about the fact that they cancelled our ride with less than an hour's notice. The company responded and reminded me that my post was "garbage," that they offered me a refund or a rebooking, and they'd love to have me back! The reason they cancelled the ride was because they didn't have enough customers. Not fog. Not weather. Their own decision. If that's the way they want to run a business, ok fine. The refund is a no brainer. But my time is worth something, and they didn't seem to care. In the end, my family desperately wanted to come back, so we rebooked ourselves two hours later. Boat goes up the Eastern Shore of OC, and back down. No dolphins. Not their fault that we didn't see any, but I wasn't sensing much effort either. I've been on other dolphin tours in the Atlantic and whale watching in Alaska. The boat captains were communicating with each other to find them. That wasn't happening here. So sorry if my review is garbage, but your offer of a "free gift for a 5 star review" isn't happening. Want 5 stars? Show you care about your customers. read more

We drove 15 minutes here twice. 1st time they were sold out. We made reservations online to come back for 2 hours later. Everyone was all lined up ready to go and they came over and told us that the trip was canceled due to the fog. Many years ago we rode the yellow Sea Rocket near M.R. Ducks. This was our first time to ride this white Sea Rocket on 1st street off of the coastal highway. My family of six including two children had a 2:30pm bow seat reservation. We parked our vehicle at their parking lot and checked in at their kiosk located in the parking lot on the corner of 1st street. Since we were early we walked the boardwalk. During our walk we received a text that the 2:30pm ride was canceled. This sounds very similar to recent airline flight cancellations. When we returned to the kiosk we learned that the waves were too high to ride the Sea Rocket. I received my $252 credit card refund within that same day. We booked the same Sea Rocket again three days later at 10:30am. This time our white Sea Rocket departed on time. It turned out to be a much cooler pleasant day than three days ago. During our boat ride up the Ocean City coast the captain stopped our boat to observe and take some pictures/videos of some dolphins and a thresher shark. Overall it was a beautiful day for a speed boat ride with views of OC shore line, natural wildlife and only once did we get wet from the boat splash during our return. We were very pleased with the white Sea Rocket and would recommend it to anyone including families with children. We will ride any of the OC Sea Rockets again. read more

Unfortunately we had a very poor experience. Booked parasailing through google maps, picked a location convenient for us near our hotel. When I selected the location on google maps it prompted me to purchase tickets. When our reservation comes time we get to the location 20 mins early. We realized the location we picked on google maps is not the correct one.(there were multiple signs for sea rocket but it was a ghost town) Spoke to a crew member and got the right address and we were five mins away, told crew member we were coming. We got to the location 5 mins late and the crew did not wait for us. I understand this is partially our fault, however the multiple locations are very confusing, as well as when I booked I physically picked the spot on google maps and it ended up not actually being there. Spoke to manager and I understand from a business perspective they cant just completely refund us, they held spots and can loose money but they were very unhelpful and didnt even offer a partial refund or a rebooking voucher. read more

We decided to go parasailing the last day of our trip and were given directions to be at one location; however, the boat departed from another location. I called and spoke to Rebecca at Searocket concerned that no one was at the location (Pier I) and was told the crew was probably at sea. We finally saw another boat come in and asked them if they knew anything about Searocket and was told they depart from the other side of the pier. So, we get down there after sitting in the sun for an hour to watch the boat leave without us. This is our first time visiting Ft. Lauderdale and this is not how we wanted to end our trip. We called and asked if we could reschedule for the last trip and we're given the run around. I asked for a corporate number and was told that one was not available. Started off a horrible experience. We followed the instructions in the email to be at the 45th street location 25 minutes prior to departure. When we arrived, we were told that we needed to be at the Dorchester location. Okay, no problem 10 minute drive. Get to Dorchester and they send us back to 45th. I wanted a refund on the spot but my wife really wanted to do the trip so we drove back up to 45th. Finally made it. Owen, our captain was great and we got to see some horses on Assateague Island.
