My best friend and I decided to go parasailing today, and although I was absolutely terrified at first, Bobby and Wilson made the experience unforgettable! They played great music, kept us laughing the whole time, and just had a calm demeanor which kept me from flipping out The boat ride was super smooth, and once we got up in the air, the views were absolutely breathtaking. We even got a fun little dip in the water! I felt completely safe with both of them, and knew we were in great hands! If you're thinking about parasailing, I can't recommend this crew enough. Unfortunately, what was supposed to be a fun birthday experience ended up being extremely disappointing and uncomfortable. Honestly, the best part of the experience was when I was in the air and away from the staff. There were two male staff members, and one of them appeared to be under the influence (the one with his shirt on). From the beginning, I felt singled out. He told me to put my phone away, while other guests in the same group were allowed to use theirs without being addressed. He even mentioned that the company had been sued before, which made the situation feel even more uncomfortable. I understand that there are safety rules, but I believe they should be communicated and enforced consistently with everyone. It was my birthday, and I had other plans afterward that required me to respond to messages. Because I was repeatedly told I could not use my phone, I missed important communication and ultimately had to cancel those plans. That was incredibly frustrating. I also felt that I was treated differently throughout the experience. One group brought a dog on the boat, and the staff went out of their way to make the dog comfortable, while I felt uncomfortable and constantly singled out. We arrived at the recommended time, yet we were left standing in the heat without shade for approximately 30 minutes before it was actually time to leave. I eventually sat in the shade, only to be told to move again because of where I was sitting. Even after the activity started, I was repeatedly told to move my seat back and forth while other guests were not being treated the same way. I followed the rules and made a genuine effort to remain calm and not let the situation ruin my birthday, but the experience felt unfair and unnecessary. I have participated in excursions in Jamaica and the Bahamas, and the customer service and hospitality I experienced there were much better. Unfortunately, this experience left me feeling singled out and disrespected. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and reviews how staff interact with guests, because everyone deserves to feel welcomed, respected, and treated equally--especially when celebrating a special occasion. read more

We had a boat tour scheduled for September 19, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Unfortunately, no one from Sea Rocket Ocean City showed up. I received no communication informing me that they would not be present for pickup. There is also no way to contact Sea Rocket directly, and even our Chase credit card representative was unable to reach them. This is incredibly poor business practice. To make matters worse, I received an email the following day thanking me for attending the tour--an event that never happened. read more

We booked a ride on the sea rocket for our family of 6 last week. I had been on one ride with another boat place a few years ago and had a blast. The other members of our party had never been on a ride before. We were all disappointed by the lack of fun and interaction with the 2 man crew. Would not recommend to anyone. We booked a banana boat ride and the captain showed up late and drunk. When we refused to go the ride he starting cussing in front of our entire family and kids and harassing us. When we went to the main location to request a refund we were denied despite it being their employee who was late, drunk, and belligerent. Don't believe the 5 star reviews, everywhere on their boats this business advertises a "free gift" for people in exchange of a 5-star review (I have photo of sign). read more

I booked one hour tour for my family of 4. I showed up early only for my morning time to be moved to 12 pm due to fog. After waiting the fog cleared & I was contacted again at 12 pm to say the boat has mechanical problems. I was given no timeline. I had to leave due to other scheduled activities. After two & a half hours of waiting (9:30 am - 12 pm) my family & I left the beach. I was contacted at 12:30 but 3 hours of waiting for a one hour boat ride got really ridiculous. read more

My husband and I had an absolute blast on the parasailing. No complaints about anything, it was an amazing experience.

Had a good time overall. Crew seemed courteous and nice. The bad? Took a very long time to board. My mother is handicap. There was no accommodations made to make her experience more comfortable, for example, a bench on the pier while guests are waiting to board. read more

This ride is so much fun! We were in the general admission section, so we couldn't really see where we were going, but I think that made it more interesting. If you want to get soaked and laugh, sit all the way in the back. The day we went out the ocean was rather choppy, but you wouldn't have known it based on the ride itself. We even got to see a pod of dolphins and not just by speeding past them, but by stopping, turning, and floating just so everyone would have the opportunity to see them. That was wonderful. The guides made it a point to ensure everyone had a great experience. There are some things that you do once and don't really do again because you've already done it. The Sea Rocket is NOT one of those things. We will be returning because, honestly, I haven't laughed this hard for quite some time and there's something very special about sharing an experience like this with your family while making instant friends with strangers. read more

We had two tours booked with Sea Rocket for September 5th, both of which were canceled due to wind. We understood that weather is out of their control and rescheduled one of the tours for September 7th, which was also canceled. While we are disappointed about the cancellations, our main issue is with the company's lack of communication regarding the refunds. We have tried to reach out multiple times via phone calls and emails to request a refund for the parasailing trip, but we have been repeatedly ignored. The only reason we were able to get a refund for the other tour was because Capital One Travel had to intervene on our behalf. It is unacceptable that we have not been refunded for the parasailing trip. It is even more concerning that Sea Rocket has been in contact with Capital One Travel to resolve a separate issue but has continued to dodge our direct inquiries. We feel that this is a very unprofessional way to handle business. We are still waiting for our refund for the parasailing trip. read more

We bought a gift certificate last winter for $580 for the Delaware location. When we tried to reserve this summer, we found out that the DE location closed. We have called and emailed numerous times with no resolution. Very disappointed. Will contact the BBB soon read more

12 of us showed up for our double decker party boat and was told it was no longer available. The reservation had been booked four months in advance and no one bothered to tell us that Sea Rocket moved from Dewey to OC. All of my phone calls and emails were ignored. I finally got my refund but the unprofessionalism of Sea Rocket was stunning. I have rented boats from other providers in the OC/DE area including Island Watersports and Shark Cove Marina, and never had an issue. Stay away from Sea Rocket or you will be dissapointed. read more

I've called the main office multiple times asking for money back on a gift card. The Dewey beach location has since closed since I got the gift card. We don't live near the other locations. Both customer service reps took my call and escalated the ticket. I've also emailed asking for advice. After multiple contacts, no one has reached out to me. This is not a hard concept and it's laughable that I can't get one return phone call. I wouldn't use this service because they clearly cannot manage something so simple like the crux of their business- customer service. read more

Was a lot of fun. We saw dolphins. Even if we didn't see any dolphins, watching Ashton was a pleasure! perhaps the best part of the tour!

The host of this trip were very nice however the unfair practices are concerning. There was a family who paid for general admission but took it upon themselves to sit at the front of the boat. I saw an employee tell Croft, one of the captains , hey look at them and he just shrugged it off. So fast forward to sail off. They are going over all of the safety info and they let us know back in general admission we would get very wet. No problem we expected some sort of wetness. So I made it a point to ask well since the front of the boat is not filled can we move up. He replies no, I said well did you tell that whole family of 5 that they couldn't self upgrade their seat ? He goes they are not listening and we are going to deal with them later. Nothing happened to them later. If you're going to do this type of job, do it correctly and with morals. It's unfair and it left a bad taste in my mouth in which I will never use this company or recommend it to anyone. My thing is why should anyone pay more for the front seat if you can just walk up front and get away with it if you look a certain way. I'm not saying what it is, but I'm not saying what it isn't. read more

There wasn't even the typical water and boat safety message, plus we missed the captain telling us about fun/interesting facts and places to visit. My review is for the speedboat and dolphin cruise. My family and I had a great time! Extra points for playing stick figure and rebelution, I'm a fan of their music, it was a nice touch. Ash and the other crew member (I apologize I forgot his name) did an amazing job keeping things fun. They went out of their way to help people take selfies, which was awesome. Yeah we got a boat ride, but it was just scam after scam. Bowfront seating for two is advertised as $30 each, so $60 total. I paid just over $100 when all the taxes and Sea Rocket scam fees were added in, so count on your ride costing a lot more than advertised. Scam "fuel surcharge" - sorry dudes, include it in the ticket price, not added just before the tickets are purchased. The taxes and non-itemized fees were higher than any other rides, food, hotel we did in O.C., so unsure of how much that scam was. The most ridiculous scam was the two guys operating the boat telling us repeatedly that they were paid like waiters and bartenders and were paid mostly by tips. Really?? They are responsible for operating a licensed, regulated commercial boat operation, taking eighty people into the ocean, and work mostly for tips? read more

The boat was super clean. The staff was extremely friendly and provided great customer service. The ride was a lot of fun, it was great when the boat sped up and the water sprayed on to us, it was refreshing and exciting. The tour through the intracoastal was informative. I look forward to going on it again and again. read more

Some of us fell off. No problem. Well apparently the previous riders broke the ladder. So when we fell off we had no way of getting back onto the boat. One of us had to be pulled in by holding onto the little medal things the rope gets tide onto!! We were way out there!!!!! This is unsafe and unexceptable. Our ride should of been reschedule. We were on the boat for 5 minutes before someone fell off and then we spent the rest of the time pulling someone in because there was no ladder to get them back into the boat!! One of our people had to eventually pull the person by holding onto eachothers hands.  No apologize. Nothing. We were told if we fall off and can't get back onto the banana there would be a ladder to climb back into the boat. False. I'm guessing it is not coast guard approved to go out with the boat that has no ladder to get people back in if the go over board. No rope, no nothing safety wise. Have called and emailed multiple times with no response. read more

So I posted a review earlier on Google while I was absolutely furious about the fact that they cancelled our ride with less than an hour's notice. The company responded and reminded me that my post was "garbage," that they offered me a refund or a rebooking, and they'd love to have me back! The reason they cancelled the ride was because they didn't have enough customers. Not fog. Not weather. Their own decision. If that's the way they want to run a business, ok fine. The refund is a no brainer. But my time is worth something, and they didn't seem to care. In the end, my family desperately wanted to come back, so we rebooked ourselves two hours later. Boat goes up the Eastern Shore of OC, and back down. No dolphins. Not their fault that we didn't see any, but I wasn't sensing much effort either. I've been on other dolphin tours in the Atlantic and whale watching in Alaska. The boat captains were communicating with each other to find them. That wasn't happening here. So sorry if my review is garbage, but your offer of a "free gift for a 5 star review" isn't happening. Want 5 stars? Show you care about your customers. read more

Everyone was all lined up ready to go and they came over and told us that the trip was canceled due to the fog. Staff at the check-in were very friendly and we were able to get a full refund. read more
