was my first deep sea fishing trip I loved the guys who run it wish I would of got a longer trip but I'm ready to go back the only thing I wished was less people on boat kept getting tangled in people beside me

The boat is large enough to comfortably accommodate the people on board.... the mates were friendly and EXTREMELY helpful!...only caught a few fish... but the overall experience was quite enjoyable

Great time on the water this fall. I went out twice and both times we had a ball. Mates were attentive and plenty of fish were caught.

The morning star leaves from Inlet Drive in the OC -the Captain leaves on time and doesn't play…read morearound read his blog-I've been a few times the mates are always great and they hustle on the boat to keep you in the water-be sure to tip them generously please -caught the limit for sea bass this week -a trip before I won the pool for the biggest bass (yes I did score one for the ladies) -the ride out is quite far so be prepared for the 2hour ride out and back (I think it's about that don't quote me) just be aware -the Captain is all about rebuilding the reefs in so that we can keep fishing for many years to come so each time he goes out they do a drop to help do this -really cool -A true Captain that loves the water and works to help maintain the environmental structure of the waterways for the fishies -yes I'm biased cause we are always treated nicely on the charter being fairly regulars -I wish I could go every week

There are few party boats run like the morning star. Capt Monty is a fisherman first, making money…read moredoing it? It just helps pay for gas :) The capt also blogs a fishing report and seems pretty active in the political debate for fishery regulations - check out his website. Some tips: -Reserve your spots early (back corner is the best mainly for roominess) -Bring a good size cooler and lots of ice, if you can carry it with one hand...it's too small. You are going to be putting the fish you catch in there. - Take extended release seasickness pills the night before - they last 24 hours, don't want to ruin awesome fishing with upchucks. - AND last - Tip one of the mates $20 (and/or bring coffee and doughnuts) when you get on - ask for a good pole at your spot # (most of the rental rods are actually nice poles for party boats, though don't get too attached - as soon as you lose a hook they'll just replace your whole pole, so you are almost instantly back in the water - UNLIKE other boats who will let you waste 10 mins of good fishing time waiting for a new rig) and ask them to share any special bait they get - as the day goes on they'll get some fish that are no good for eating but good for bait, but there's not a lot to go around, so you have to ask nicely. On the way back they'll clean/skin/fillet your fish for $1 per...depending on the fish species you can still expect some bones. By the time your back to shore, normally 3-4pm depending on how good the fishing was - (Monty aint gonna leave a spot that's still producing) your fish are packed up and you still have an evening to enjoy at Ocean City

We had an amazing time renting a pontoon boat for our group of 7 here! We decided to take a boat…read moreout to explore OC for the first time on Saturday and we're so glad we went with Bayside Boat Rentals! Check in was super easy and they gave our driver a 10 minute tutorial on how to operate the boat. Even though our driver has a boating license, they will issue you a temporary license and give you all you need to know to be safe out on the water! I was especially impressed because due to an incident with another group, we started our rental 15 minutes late, and they let us keep the boat for 15 min past our reservation to make up for time lost! For a 6 hour rental (1:30-7:30 PM), the cost was about $507. So split between 7 people, it only cost about $72. So worth it for 6 hours of free exploration time! They told us about a popular sand bar on the map that we checked out first and it was boat city! So many people out enjoying the redneck yacht club--so fun! After, we docked at Fish Tales for lunch. Then we had about 2 hours left, so we went swimming bayside (before getting stung by jellyfish...) and then rounded out the day docking at Seacrets. The pontoons comfortably fit 7 people, and would easily fit 1-3 more! We also had a giant Yeti cooler that fit with plenty of room to spare on the floor. They also come with pretty loud built-in speakers that connect to the radio and Bluetooth so you can DJ from a phone! You can also drop the back ladder for easy access if you decide to go swimming. Overall, the pontoon rental was a highlight of our weekend and we would love to do it again next time! Thanks Bayside Boat Rentals for an awesome first experience.
