Worst salon ever. Firstly way over priced for what I had done. But my complaint is I don't think she knew what I wanted my nails look super dirty because the acrylic did not really cover. My right thumb nail was left kinda bumpy. Didnt see it all until I walked outside. And I guess live and learn and I would have just let it go but my real problem is I'm a senior citizen and one cuticle was bloody after and my fingers are very sore and cuticle are becoming kinda raggedy. I visited Sea Nails yesterday for a Gel-X refill and a pedicure, and unfortunately, my experience left me feeling uncomfortable and unwelcome. When I walked in, I told the receptionist that I needed a Gel-X refill and a pedicure. She looked at my nails, immediately started typing on her phone, and then came back and told me that my refill would be $110 and my pedicure would be $50. While I thought the prices seemed unusually high, I agreed to the services. What surprised me even more was being told that I had to pay the full $167 upfront before any services were performed. In all my years of getting my nails done, I have never been required to prepay for a refill and pedicure. I also did not notice any other customers being asked to pay upfront, which made me feel singled out. What made the pricing even more confusing is that I regularly get nail designs, artwork, and other add-on services, and I have never paid anywhere near $167 for a refill and pedicure--even with those extras included. This visit was simply a refill and pedicure, yet it ended up being the most I have ever been charged. To be clear, the nail technician who worked on me was very kind, professional, and did a good job. I have no complaints about her whatsoever. In fact, I felt bad that I wasn't able to leave the tip I normally would have. I am a generous tipper and always make a point to show appreciation for good service, but after paying such an unexpectedly high amount upfront, I simply didn't feel comfortable spending even more. My issue is with the way I was treated as a customer. The unusually high pricing, combined with the requirement to pay upfront when others seemingly were not asked to do the same, left me feeling embarrassed, humiliated, and as though I was being treated differently. Sadly they do not wish for your opinion even after asking. They are sadly very rude and un accommodating to their guests. Nails are very expensive and haven't done my nails in over a year or more- for the holidays I wish to get them done so I went in and everything seemed great and fine- she asked me if I liked my nails and their shape- on one hand the nails looked un proportional to the width and size of my finger and on the other hand she did a great job. It was still early on where I could catch this and she had asked my opinion of the shape and that she could redo them- I'm very afraid of speaking up but since this was my cue to speak up- the nail tech did not agree and made it a point to take off my nails and tell me to leave. I never raised my voice and kept level headed. After all this is supposed to be a spa ambience where I can listen to music and relax while they do my nails but instead I was faced with passive aggressiveness- a tired and moody nail tech and now here I am having to write a review. This sucks because it's a local spot and I did like it and gave them my business but moving forward I won't be able to do so anymore because of their lack of customer service and their refusal to do you any services after $80 of only a manicure plus the 20% tip I usually always leave for them. I guess this is a sign to keep my hard earned money or go somewhere else. I guess they make enough money to refuse business at any minor inconvenience they face. Good luck sea nails! read more

Nice little salon for basic nail needs. I walked in yesterday for a pedicure, it seemed very busy but in about 10 minutes they had me in a chair soaking (which I love). Kim helped me and she was friendly and efficient and did a very nice job. I was shocked to find out my pedicure was only something like $28! Being new to the area I guess I am not used to how inexpensive things can be around here. Anyway, I will come back for sure read more

I couldn't be happier with this salon. The staff was so accommodating and kind. The salon is clean and very calming. I came here after a horrible experience at another nearby salon. I walked in with my nails being the worst they have ever been. They helped me pick what would be best for my nails without having to ruin my natural nails. I can't thank them enough! AVOID THIS SALON LIKE THE PLAGUE!! Awful communication and terrible service. If you ask for long nails, they cut them short. If you ask for squared, you get almond shaped. When you politely try to correct, they say "okay" and continue to do the opposite. I am AMAZED this place is still in business unless they're laundering money. About a month ago, I came to this salon to get my nails done, I enjoyed the technician and the service. Second time I came requested to make an appointment, I was denied to make an appointment and was referred to another technician, despite requesting a specific technician. I decided to give it a try. This technician that I decided to give a try, used a cuticle drill on the base of my nail beds, dug into my skin and bled. I don't even know the cleanliness of these equipment, but I didn't like that. Today, I tried again. I went in early, asked for a appointment at 2 PM. I was advised that I would be with the technician that I requested, however, when I got there at the time that I made the appointment for, everyone looked at each other, and I was pointed to go to the technician that did my nails last, I just left at that point. They definitely know how to do nails, but if a client likes a specific technician, I think that should be recognized. If the technician I was requesting had a personal issue with me and no longer wanted to provide service for me, then something could've been said about that. I moved to Pompano about two years ago and picked this salon randomly and I'm so glad I did. The owners always greet you by name and make you feel welcome. No matter what I ask them to do they always deliver. I always get so many compliments on my nails and refer anyone who asks to them. What i love about this nail salon is that the owner makes it personal and knows your name. He is very accommodating and sometimes, as most salons, gets very busy in the weekend and people want to be serviced right away, owner always manages to give you good estimate of wait time or when to come back later in the day with guaranteed spot and no wait. This is very overpriced nails place. And not only is it overpriced, if you get a mani and pedi, it seems you're not a worthy client as they don't even give you toe separators but a piece of paper towel instead. I went here because of the convenience of being close to my home but never again. In other places you can get the same quality at half the price. Oh not to mention that I asked who I believe was the owner, to dry my nails with the gel light, and he refused. My previous nail lady did it for me without an issue. Made an appointment, yet felt super rushed. Their idea of soaking off the dip polish is basically to take it off with the nail drill, and stick all your fingers in acetone for three minutes. She basically removed my cuticles with the drill and then pretended to do it with the cuticle scissors. Before applying the gel polish, I was not even asked to wash my hands. She went ahead and applied the gel on dusty messy nails. I had my manicure done on 6/4 and it chipped on 6/7. I knew it was not going to last. Yet, I waited before writing my review to give them the benefit of the doubt. I left with messy fingers from residue of the products she used, unrelaxed, and a "gel manicure" that is supposed to last two weeks that only lasted me three days. Amazing experience... being from NYC... I have been to my fair share of salons (nail salons are a dime a dozen in NYC). The owners provide a TRULY RELAXING EXPERIENCE. The staff is focused on you and your service NOT TALKING to each other or on the phone. The salon is immaculate and they literally have thousands of colors. I had a fill ($18) and deluxe pedicure (which includes a 20 min. massage, paraffin and hot stone massage). I highly recommend splurging for the extra few dollars. It was well worth it. My nails and feet look and feel wonderful. It is under new ownership but you will still find some of the favorite staff members from before (an added treat). The prices are VERY REASONABLE.
