Efficiency Is Winning…read more I had a positive experience at this Social Security office, especially considering the reputation these offices sometimes get. I live in Downtown San Diego but I needed an appointment within 2 weeks. Q: How long did it take to make the appointment? A: The phone call to reschedule the appointment took about 45 minutes, which honestly was the least efficient part of the process. This could definitely be improved. Q: Was parking difficult? A: Not at all. Parking was easy and convenient when I arrived. Q: Did they take walk-ins? A: Yes. The security guard asked whether I had an appointment or was a walk-in. When I arrived around 10:30 a.m. on a Friday, there was only one person waiting for walk-in services. By the time I left, there were about seven people waiting, so it definitely became busier closer to 11:30 a.m. I don't know the wait time for walk-ins, though. TIP: The first seatingrow closest to the kiosk is the waiting row/line for walk-ins Q: Were you seen on time? A: Yes, actually earlier than my appointment time because I arrived early. That was impressive. Q: What was the office environment like? A: The office was clean, organized, and calm. Even the bathrooms were clean. Q: How was the staff? A: Excellent. The security guard was firm but personable and maintained order without making the environment uncomfortable. A: About 30 minutes total, and it moved quickly because I brought all the required documentation with me. Q: Was check-in easy? A: Yes. There is a self check-in kiosk, and you may also receive a QR code by text. I used the kiosk without any issues. Just make sure you have your Social Security number available. Overall, I would recommend this location. I need an appointment in San Diego within 2 weeks and this was the only location that was available The actual in-office process was efficient, organized, and much smoother than expected. My biggest recommendation would be: bring all your documents and mid morning appointments may be best. The office itself isn't fancy, but it's fine. I'm not qualified to judge her competency, but I have no reason to doubt that she knows her stuff. My complaint about her is that she just isn't very friendly. She's kind of a sourpuss who likes to complain about stuff. After my first appointment, I figured I had caught her on a bad day. After the second time and a similar experience, I've decided that she's just a negative person. If she were the only choice in town, I would go back without hesitation. But there are so many other choices . . . why not switch? I'll find someone else for my next checkup.

They use manipulation tactics bullying a scare tactics to get what they want out of you they're all about money and if they know you have a a chunk of money when you come in there, they will manipulate and use whatever tactic to get your money. OK I've seen Mona Rosenholtz the house manager for the women's house, steal money from people rather residence. I have know about Luis McMahon, the Director, manipulating money out of people one of them being me and Linda Joyce Sterritt, who is my best friend and I was trying to get her out of there but she pays the most rent out of everybody in that program and it's like around 12 $1300 when they knew I had a trust account they were in it I was paying $1400. All the other women paid like seven or 600 they they are abusive they yell they call you names. It's not a good place. They don't have no groups you go to na aa meeting outside that's it. I think the Program that the county needs to go in and investigate the house in that program because there are a lot of illegal stuff going on in there with staff and there's only three people that are over that Program. I do not recommend this program to anybody and if you hear it run the direction when my daughter Sarah got me out of that program I could not talk. All I would do is sit and stare because I had PTSD so bad from the abuse and the name-calling and all the bullying that Mona Rosenholtz and Timothy McMahon we're doing to me yeah I had my good times there too, but the bad outweighs when I left there I was 336 pounds now I've been out of there since 2021 and I'm 215 pounds now at my ideal weight and I look awesome. I have my own place now and I'm doing really well cleaning sober working a Celebrate Recovery in the STEPS I have a sponsor and I have my own apartment oh and then Mona told me that nobody wants me well I have a boyfriend that lives with me so you know and I have a lot of friends where I live. I'm aware of an incident where Linda Durban got her $1400 stimulus check and I told her do not let Louis know you have that money because he will get it from you well, he got wind of it and he was there and he gave her the spiel to crocodile tears and oh I need help and you said he would help me. I'm so broke. He's always somebody's broke. Yeah he's in a bunch of debt, but yeah it's a crooked Shystie organization and do not go to this program.. Lewis McMahon ended up getting $1000 out of Linda Diaz stimulus check because Linda pay so much money that I was trying to get her out because they abused her too. All she does is sit and stare at the wall from PTSD. She is cut off communication between me and Linda has taken her phone. She will not let her have a phone Mona because they don't wanna lose that money. It's all about money. They don't care about nobody they bully you. They yell at you, they call your names. It was gone within a year I had to fill out these disbursement forms to draw money out of it. They had me sign one form, right well they made copies of that one paper and my daughter wanted me to sue, but you know what my father didn't raise me that way so I left it alone and plus Lewis McMahon's already in a huge thousands in debt so what good would it do really and I just don't do that 10,000 of it went on my porcelain teeth to have my whole teeth fixed. I would take a few hundred dollars out of a month for my personal needs. There was this woman who was mentally challenged and Laurie wills who is mowed. Later, when there was a relapse, as often happens, he was welcomed back to TLM where they were very persistent with him to get a breakthrough. I had a number of counseling sessions with Randi Devine because I was going through a divorce…read more When I felt ready, and decided I didn't need counseling anymore she tagged on a bunch of extra fees for my sessions clearly because she felt like she needed the extra money. I don't recommend her for counseling because she has made me feel like I've been robbed. I didn't have the emotional capacity to care about it at the time because I was going through a divorce, but I feel completely taken advantage of, and I certainly don't recommend her to anyone who needs help. I paid for every session in full, but somehow I still had a bill of $130 left over at the end. I was told there was a cancelation fee of $40 which is a scam in the first place, but there was no explanation of where the rest of the bill was coming from. Maybe she decided to change the price for sessions after we already had the sessions? I highly doubt that I'm the only one that has been ripped off by Randi, but I can see I'm the only one to yelp about it so far. Don't make the same mistake I did. Find counseling somewhere else.
