i was paying the grown kids water bill for 6months because i bought my house from them when their father passed away, they were getting all there utilities paid from there father they were tapped in from behind in my upper yard!! my bills were $800 for 6 months so you think fwud helped me absolutly not also i had a flood in my home from a pipe that was in the middle of my street which i had plummer scope and had proof it was clogged at point of there line but they would not even split the bill for 1 plummer!! they never check my meter they just pick wha0tever amout of water and always bill me over $300 a month!!! not nice of them they should take a hard liok at all the bad reviews and realize they are screwing everyone over and no one wants to get service from them!!!l read more

We use about $30 worth of water every month but with all the ridiculous added fees, our water bill averages $130 per month. The workers on the streets are slow, the guys that drive the FPUD trucks drive like fools and the managers all make six figure salaries. Total rip-off! I'm disabled and on a fixed income. FPUD offers no discounts to the disabled or seniors. It's truly becoming unbearable and they just don't care! read more

If I could give zero stars I would. The water company placed a large sign on my property in my front yard with no approval. Not only did they do that but the sign is so large it obstructs my view when I pull out of my driveway and my wife and I have almost been in multiple accidents because of it. We pay more then anyone else in the county for water already and for them to place things on my property without approval that can cause me more financial troubles is insane. This water company is terrible. I love living in Fallbrook however the water company alone has made me want to sell my house and find a new place to reside. Over priced with the very minimal service. I would strongly advise anyone looking to buy in Fallbrook to stay clear and spend your money somewhere else. Everything in this town great except for the water company that price gouges you and takes advantage of you. I find it really sad that they take advantage of their customers and treat them like crap. read more

I don't understand how this company is getting away with charging so much. Water is vital to living and should not be subjected to this type of price gouging. Also, something is fishy in their billing. I have lived here since 1996 and up until the last year or so I have never been late on my bills. Now, I think I've receive 3 "late" notices. I don't think they are sending the bills out, or maybe the post office is screwing up the mail delivery...which is also a possibility since they suck too. In fact most of Fallbrook sucks, would never recommend anyone moving here! Wish I could afford to move away! read more

Ok, maybe someone can explain this to me. Last month we used 20 units of water ( a little high, I get it). Our bill = $180ish. The following month, we worked to reduce our water usage and only used 12 units of water...almost half of what we used the previous month. Our bill = $165ish...$15 LESS AND WE ONLY USED ALMOST HALF THE WATER!!! WTF!!! Sure, the water charge went down from $92 to $53 but every other line item in the bill went up...including the sewer flow! Wait, so I used less water and, common sense would say, less water in less water out, right??? Not according to FPUD. I guess somehow we are generating our own water and dumping it down our pipes??? Umm, well I guess whether someone is robbing me at gun point or billing me to death, it's all the same. read more

Horrible customer service...the employees are straight from the ghetto and they are robbing people. My water usage bill was $16, yet I have to pay $70 for their "fees" which is ridiculous!! They had the nerve to even tell us that everyone in Fallbrook has to pay the $70 in fees before they pay their actual water usage bill...I'm done with this place! read more

I have averaged less than 4 units of water for the year, somehow I am being charged $90 a month just in waste water. I have recently moved into the house but they refuse to adjust my wastewater usage. Their customer service is absolutely terrible and their prices are through the roof. Horrible, horrible, horrible customer service. The woman who answers the phone is as mean as can be. I understand you may not like your job... but you're not the only one. This town is full of hard working people who put a smile on their face despite having a rough day, and go out of their way to treat others with decency. Not to mention the fact that if you are late on your payment, which happens to the best of us at times, they give you like a 3 day pre-lock warning. So, basically, drop off your payment by tomorrow or we'll turn off your water. I understand needing to get paid (I run a small business so when people don't pay me on time, I can't pay FPUD on time) but they are so incredibly rude about it, it's ridiculous. This is by far the worst utility company I have ever encountered, and I have lived in many cities on both coasts! read more

FPUD should be renamed FU Water Dept. Besides the price gouging tactics (and really, someone should look into this at the County/State DA level because something corrupt is happening at FPUD), the way they handle emergency situations like a broken water main is totally ass backwards hicksville style management. We currently have no water because of a water main/line break or something that happened around 9pm July 26, 2015. The repair crew has been on site since before midnight. It's now nearly 8am July 27th and the neighborhood is still without water. The bridge that washed out on the 10 Highway by Joshua Tree was repaired in three days. A bridge! Major engineering, construction, etc. So how hard can it be to fix a pipe given that this is what these folks do? The after hours on-call phone person doesn't have a clue when we might have the water turned back on. It would have been professional and courteous if someone from the water repair crew had gone around the neighborhood to alert everyone that the water was going to be turned off and given us at least 15-20 minutes so we could have filled up bottles, trash cans, gone to the stores before they closed to get bottled water, etc. If a water shut off that affects dozens of residents/customers is in play for more than three hours, FPUD should roll in a water truck so people can fill up containers with water, etc. to use to flush toilets, etc. until the repairs are done. Everyone in this neighborhood affected by this water shut off should receive substantial discounts in their next water bill, not only for not receiving the water they pay to access but for the colossal inconvenience and gross unsanitary conditions this has caused the residents. We're watching you, FPUD and maybe it's time you were investigated and/or the good people of Fallbrook came after you with a class action to root out your corruption and incompetence. read more

We had one of FPUD's water relief valves, which happens to be located on our property but owned by them, break and water by the thousands of gallons rushed down onto our property. Thank goodness for a good drain installed in our driveway, otherwise I truly believe the water would have flooded our home and garage. The driveway was covered in mud, rock debris and water, not to mention the major erosion it caused in our yard. By the time they came to shut it off, it had done some major mucky damage, along with huge amounts of erosion in our yard. Nobody apologized. They never helped us clean it up. Nor were they in a hurry to fix the relief valve. To keep track of things ( repairs to pipe and our road that we own), we had to call some guy's personal cell - this seemed weirdly unprofessional. It took a couple months before they came back and repaired the road in front of my home, so we had to patch it in the meantime. I think their customer service could be better. The water rates are out of this world ridiculous and they just put them up even higher and lessened the usage tiers, so you get to the next rate quicker. I know this is because of the drought but the rate increase has gone through the roof! read more

These guys are terrible! I second the rejects from DMV post! We moved out of our rental, I called four times to confirm getting my name off the account and still they seemed to have no record of this. Then I get my final bill and it's also paid for by the property manager out of my security deposit. They say it's my fault and they won't refund my money! They're customer service is ridiculous...seriously how hard can it be, you're a utility company in Fallbrook, we're not talking about anything too difficult here read more
