This was the fourth out of five companies that I received a quote from and below are the bullet points that this outstanding company represents, just in case you don't care about reading the rest of the extensive review. Just be patient, they are that good and that makes them busy so, obviously something has to give and it won't necessarily be next day service. EXPERIENCED KNOWLEDGEABLE TRUSTWORTHY REPUTABLE FAIR HONEST FAIR - yes, twice, because they are that fair and without a doubt, provide the best value for your money. They are not lying with the writing on the side of their trucks of "Always Honest" "Always Fair". That legitimately is exactly what this company exudes and promptly represents from the first contact I had with them. SDAC was the 4th out of 5 total quotes that I obtained and immediately, they stood out leaps and bounds from the rest. After their visit I was anxiously awaiting their quote. So much so that I reached out to them, twice. Since they are so fair and reputable, I completely understand that they were inundated with work and backed up a bit. The main reason I was also anxious to receive the quote is because another company gave me only 2 weeks to accept their bid and it was the next reasonable quote. Art was the representative send out and, after speaking with the other three companies already, he was so knowledgeable and realistic with what to do about my system replacement. Even my wife commented how much she liked his demeanor, how kind, genuine, non-pushy, and how he listened to us. Art's evaluation and remedies to our current HVAC deficiencies just made sense and were the most realistic compared to all the others. From that point on, I was just hoping that their quote would come back and be reasonably priced compared to the others. When the quote did come back, much better than expected, we ended up electing to go with the entire system overhaul. This included a completely new duct system with Heat Pump / Furnace. The amazing thing that he did was add a true furnace as an auxiliary backup. Everyone else wanted to do a heat strip that boost a heat pumps ability but, since we already had a gas line in the attic dedicated to a previous furnace, this made the most sense. Now we have an entire backup heating system, just in case it gets too cold out for the heat pump or it has other issues. Huge plus when you have to keep an 8 month old and 4 year old warm in the winter months. Next came scheduling the install day. Fortunately our current system was limping along but, the next available date after the quote was received was about 2 weeks out. Instead I pushed it out for about a month due to scheduling conflicts. Honestly, I took some of their advice mentioned about how horribly my old systems return duct was ran and fixed it. This made my old system run dramatically better and for only about half the time it was the day before in the same weather. Art had no problem with extending the install date out and when the installation day came, they even accommodated coming in a day earlier when requested due to me not having a school picnic for my 4 year old's class in my schedule previously. On the installation day we just happened to be lucky enough that two installation crews were available. They did show up around 8:30-8:40 when the time window was for between 9 and 11 but, they removed all the old system, installed the new system, and had it turned on by 3:30 PM. That included all the duct work, the coils in the attic / condenser outside / New connections, and breakers. Unbelievably efficient. The install crew put hall runner covers down throughout the whole house, plastic covered off the entire attic access room, were meticulous about making sure they caught all the drywall / wood material while cutting out the new vent return, and cleaned up even better than I expected prior to departure. It appeared as they were never even there. The only thing I noticed from the installation is I wanted a duct ran a specific way in my head and I mentioned it but, didn't do my own due diligence to inspect everything prior to them leaving. After I checked everything out in the attic when they left, I asked if they could provide the materials for me to reroute one of the ducts how I wanted. Instead they came back the next day and fixed what I requested, exactly how I wanted. It took them all of 20 minutes and they put all the floor protection back down for the minor fix. I can't wait to continue servicing and maintaining my current and other HVAC systems with SDAC. I will, without a doubt, recommend this amazing company to anyone and everyone that needs any type of HVAC service or equipment. Since I I live on ocean, I have gone through many A/C units mainly due to corrosion problems. I carefully researched 4 highly recommended & credential Heating & Air Conditioning Companies. Some said, to install a unit. They will have to tear up the floor to find a broken electric connection. Some wanted $600 for a crane to install the unit on the second floor. Some wanted $1,000 extra for powder coating the unit to prevent corrosion. Dima from SDAC, came extremely well prepared with detailed price comparison, and great advice. He did not find any fault with electric line and after measuring the door access, he did not see the use of a crane. The unit he offered came with powder coating and most of all, his price was 40 % lower than rest of them and his guarantee for 10 years, that none of them offered, was beyond expectations. After completion of the work, I found the new thermostat very complicated and upon my phone call Bina came back with two other brand of thrmostats to replace the one I disliked. That is above & beyond the call of duty.
