I went to my prior chiropractor for five years and never left a review, although it was constantly requested. I have been with SD Body Fix for 6 to 9 months, and here I am! Dr G is everything that my prior chiropractor was not. He is timely (never a wait), easy scheduling online (or in person), not a sales person, never seems rushed, gives personalized attention, appears to actually care about you (or a very good actor), and comes across as a genuinely honest and nice man. The big 5 star for this review is any woman pregnant should see Dr G and Roberta as they allow you to actual enjoy pregnancy with all the body changes, aches, swelling, etc. lymphatic drainage massage for reduction of swelling, especially working moms that stay on their feet... Acupuncture to start contractions.... When ur belly is so big, a massage done the right way with great pressure goes a long way to prevent preeclampsia ... I recently started seeing Dr. Govenar in a desperate attempt to help with my SI joint issues related to my pregnancy. He was able to get me in same day and has worked wonders for my pain. He is caring and does not rush through appointments and doesn't adjust you just for fun like my previous Chiro. Dr Danny was recommend to me by my Acupuncturist. I have really bad migraines and getting acupuncture usually fixes my problem. I came to Dr Danny after I continued to have my bad headaches. I didn't think this was going to fix my problem but I was wrong. After several weeks of adjustments I am now in better shape and feeling like myself. I was in a lot of pain from a surfing injury and they got me in that same day and worked around my schedule. Lawrence Truong is my chiropractor at this office. He is very informative, kind, and puts your nerves at ease when stepping into a providers office. I like that he takes the time to explain treatment to you, as well as what he finds in his exam. He explains a short term and long term plan so you know what to expect and always answers my questions thoroughly. I like that he has given me tips to manage the pain I encounter throughout my workday which is very sedentary work. I experienced immediate relief from the headache I was having as soon as he adjusted me. I will continue to go there as I am still experiencing discomfort and pain especially during the workday. I have been coming here every week for about three months now for acupuncture and chiropractor services. Dr Govenar and his team are so kind and helpful and I can tell they really care about their patients. I started getting sciatic pain in my left leg and chronic lower back pain approx 5 months ago and ever since I started treatment here I have been able to manage the pain and maintain a comfortable day to day of normal activity. Dr Govenar even sends me YouTube links regularly of stretches and exercises catering to my needs specifically. They also have a masseuse there who honestly gave me the BEST massage I have ever received. It's hard with my work schedule to come regularly for the massage but I try when I can! I've been to a few different chiropractors throughout my life. What I look for in a chiropractor is someone with a no BS approach with a great attitude and a thorough understanding of the practice. Most importantly, I want to walk away with a killer adjustment, feeling 100%. After my first visit to Dr. Truong, I am hooked! I found this place on Yelp - I was in desperate need of an adjustment and wanted to find a place near home. I was a little weary walking in to a brand new office without a recommendation from an actual acquaintance but, like I said, I was desperate and in a lot of pain. Let me tell you, I am so happy to have found this place! I've seen Dr. Truong twice now, and he has already made a world of difference for me. I have periodic neck pain that is practically debilitating and a painful shoulder from an old injury. On my first visit, Dr. Truong addressed my needs very directly, did not give me the run-around, and gave me a very thorough workup. He took xrays to get a better idea of my problem and to make sure I don't have any serious underlying issues. The xrays were developed instantly, and he immediately went to work on my neck. At the office, they have some great electrical current-type therapy instruments that felt great on my tense muscles. He also gave me a stellar adjustment, and we worked out a long-term plan to get my issues under control and pain free. I was in and out of the office in about 45 minutes, and I felt like I had gotten much more than my money's worth! I have seen him once more since, and he remembered me and everything about my individual needs. I hate when I go to a medical professional more than once, and they act like it's the first time we've ever met. This was definitely not the case with Dr. Truong. Not only did he remember my specific medical needs, he also remembered some details about my life outside the office and asked how things were going. No time was wasted going over my chart; he was already up to speed. I would recommend Dr. Truong to anyone. The office is very friendly, genuine, and professional. I was really scared of going to a chiropracter but when my sciatica got so bad that I could barely walk , I talked to Danny because I've always thought he was a smart and caring guy. That was several years ago and now I go to him all the time--he taught me that maintenance ( keeping the body healthy including routine check ups) is the best way to avoid problems. But, sometimes I mess up and get the sciatica back again and Danny always sets me right again. This is the third chiropractor I've seen in my life and the first two visits were good. It was on the third visit when the receptionist was there that I had a horrible experience. The woman that was waiting before me asked her a question and she snapped at her. A few minutes later when I asked her a similar question, about how much longer the wait would be, she proceeded to tell me it was my fault that I had arrived early. She never answered. Worst customer service ever. I left. Who wants more stress when you're waiting to feel better and de-stress!!! She must be a girl-friend or relative otherwise I have no idea why they would keep her working there. read more
