"Dr. Dave was recommended to us by a good friend who had amazing results with him for a sports injury; all I can say is- there are many good chiropractors out there, but he is the best!
My friend and I were involved in a large rear ended car accident in which we were rear ended on the freeway at over 50mph. It completely crushed the back of my Mercedes and we were both taken to the Emergency Room via ambulance. In ER, they took x-rays, gave us both a c-collar, and pain medication which made me feel really tired and drowsy and the nurses said everything would be okay. That's it. They never followed up with me; frankly I didn't even know how long I was supposed to wear this weird looking collar around my neck. In any case, after 2 weeks the pain never went away and at times felt like it was getting worst. I had intense pain in the middle of my neck that traveled down to my upper shoulders and mid back, there were tingling and numbness in my hands, low back pain, I couldn't sleep because of the pain, I was anxious to drive again, and for some weird reason I felt like I wanted to throw up all the time and had bad headaches.
After my friend recommended Dr. Dave to me, I was a bit hesitant not knowing how a chiropractor could help this pain that a reputable Emergency Room couldn't help me with. I was wrong.
During our first examination, Dr. Dave literally spent 60 minutes going through my complete history, asking me what the ER room did, what pain I was feeling, what made me feel worst or better, how it was affecting my work, he ran orthopedic/chiropractic testing, postural examination, and he asked the ER room to send over their medical records to him. He came up with a treatment plan that worked for the both of us. I started with a 9/10 pain and my friend had 8/10 pain, we can both say that most of our pain are almost gone, I can turn my head now, I can sleep better, I can work without pain, and we are both so glad we met Dr. Dave.
Our care- he is very specific with what he wants to do. In the beginning, when I had A LOT of pain, he said his goal was to reduce the inflammation. He used a combination of light stretching, ice/heat, and physiotherapy machines to accomplish this. At some point when the inflammation went down, he told me that I had to stop using the c-collar brace because we have to start trying to regain motion in the neck, otherwise the muscles may atrophy and limit further movement in the future. With that said, he began an exercise/stretching program for me and also incorporated very light chiropractic adjustments (they feel great for all those that don't know) he's very gentle in his adjustments, and then he also had his massage therapist work on us for 30-60 minutes after certain visits to decrease some of our muscle spasms. An exercise physiotherapist would also teach us exercises to do in a back rehabilitation room.
In ending, I will tell you that you will NEVER meet a more sincere, compassionate, smart chiropractor ever! He is the best. Even if you have been to other chiropractors, I am willing to bet my money that he is the best. If you have been injured in a car accident, please don't hesitate to see him. 5 stars times a million!" read more
