Before…read morecoming to ASIS, my recovery was atypical due to various circumstances and complications, but this seemed to be no issue for Dr. Jake Fellow and the rest of the ASIS PT staff. I was immediately impressed with their hands on approach and personalized attention. Jake is an amazing physical therapist and is very committed to his patients. He addresses every question and concern and would even go out of his way to accommodate my schedule for appointments. I knew exactly how to do my home exercises and my treatment plan was constantly adapted to meet my needs. I felt results almost immediately. Within 6 months, I was back to running and volleyball- activities I had not done in over 2 years! I couldn't be happier with my progress. I am so grateful to Jake and the aides for helping me reach my goals. They are professional, knowledgeable, and so friendly and kind. I'd recommend them without hesitation for any physical therapy need. Thank you Jake & ASIS!

If you're not seeing great results with your PT exercises, perhaps you should try a different set of professionals. ASIS in PB gets my highest rating.

The out-of-pocket (non-insurance) cost is also less than HALF of the other physical therapists that I looked at or went to in San Diego before Ocean Physical Therapy. Yes, the website and machines in the office look a bit outdated and there are no flashy Instagram ads from them, but if want someone who knows what they are doing and will get you fixed at a great price, I highly recommend you give Farshid a shot.

Jessica was able to see me within 24 hours. Her treatment and techniques improved my condition that day and had me peeing normally in 4 days. She is worth every single penny and so is your health!

In the years since then I have been happy to have had expert physical therapy from both Marcia and Rusty Tassinari and my husband has also been treated by Rusty. I first learned of Tassinari PT a few years ago when asking a retired (and very knowledgeable)…read morelocal PT who she would recommend in the PB area for an older person, as my mother had a problem arm for years that was not responding to the treatment she was getting. The retired PT gave me pros and cons of various places in the area, and said "There was a fantastic small practice with an unusual name, but I think they're retired." I said "Maybe Tassinari?, and I think they're still there" and she said, "That's it--absolutely go there if they'll take you. They're the best." And she was right. Marcia Tassinari quickly identified what was the issue with my mother, and that changed the future course of treatment to something that was far more relevant. And a while later I developed a serious health issue and have seen Rusty Tassinari who has helped me regain, improve and maintain my ability to walk. Both Marcia and Rusty are extremely experienced, knowledgeable, and caring Physical Therapists who provide 1:1 PT. A particular expertise and strength of both is working with people who are older and have age-related challenges, an often underserved group, and I believe they primarily serve people with Medicare. If you want highly personalized and knowledgeable 1:1 PT, they are a fantastic resource. Note: They are planning to retire in 2025, and I believe they've identified someone with a similar practice philosophy/approach to continue the business.

If I could give Select zero stars, I would. I have been in and out of physical therapy for decades…read more My prior PT moved so when my doctor suggested Select, I tried them. Worst experience ever. I was paired with a therapist who was distracted and paid zero attention to me. It was my initial evaluation and this person asked questions that he didn't bother to wait for the answer to and didn't watch as I did the few exercises he told me to do. It was a complete waste of time. When I called and canceled all my remaining appointments, I was told that I didn't have to worry, I'd never be paired with that therapist again because I was his last client on his last day. This probably explained why I had such a worthless appointment but then came the bill. I called them and told them I objected to having to pay anything for a completely worthless waste of time and insurance benefits. Being asked to pay more out of pocket was adding insult to injury. The person I spoke to, Elliot, was extremely sympathetic and said he would see what he could do. After waiting months to get some resolution, Elliot called me sheepishly apologizing that the people in charge refused to budge because if they forgave the debt, it would be "admitting medical fraud." They gave me a month or so to pay it and then sent it off to collections for $37. What a terrible business. Worst PT experience of my life!!!

I called the number listed and left a message as to confirm my appointment and did not get a response back. The day of my appointment I arrived a few minutes before 10 am and waited 20 mins to give her the benefit of the doubt. Needless to say she didn't show and she was not reachable by the phone number listed (I called several times). Disappointed and a waste of my time. Don't waist your time making an appointment it's a crap shoot completely unprofessional business. Making and confirming appointments is a basic minimum for this particular field. Update* So nat finally reached out to me to let me know that she does not work on Thursdays. I let her know that her website still allowed me to book so there may be a discrepancy. I then understood that it was her day off but this could have been totally avoided if I had received a returned phone call the day prior. She got EXTREMELY rude with me as a first timer booking an appoint with her. She could have handled the situation in a professional manner but instead took a childish road and then went on about how she has a thriving business and does not need me as a client and hung up on me!!!!! During the call I tried to explain how I could not have known how she sets up her appts and I did not get a return call. It's unfortunate that she doesn't have better business practices and that her website is not clear about what to expect when making appointments and that you cannot reach her or anyone because in her words she is too busy to return clients calls SMDH... She called me an unhappy person lol which is so far from who I am. I was really looking forward to what I thought would be my appt. What I was, was disappointed and irritated and she got defensive when I called her out on bad business practices and communication.
