I have never injured my back before and after weeks of pain decided to go to a chiropractor. Dr. Shapiro and staff made this whole process ery simple. I haven't felt this good since before my car accident on 11/12/23. My kids and I were t-boned, and thank God my kids weren't hurt, but I have been seeing Dr's and going to physical therapy for the last few months because of a herniated disc and pinched occipital nerves. The pain that I've felt had gotten so severe that I was unable to even put my head down on a pillow without breaking down in tears. I had gotten to the point that I called those drs crying, basically begging them to prescribe me something for the pain because even taking 800mg ibuprofen and 1000mg Tylenol together I still had break through pain. I have been on so many anti-inflammatory medications, as well as tramadol, gabapentin, methocarbamol, and more. Instead of going through with the occipital nerve block injection, I came to see Stan. And I feel like I am FINALLY getting the care and treatment I need to heal. He also took care of my kids and adjusted them! During my first appointment with my Dr. I'd brought up seeing a chiropractor and was advised not to. I can not put into words how frustrated I am not just with my Dr's, but myself as well, because of how much pain I didn't have to go through had I come here sooner. I first went to see Dr. Shapiro about a year ago after visiting Kaiser in tremendous pain with a pinched nerve and numbness in my right hand. They pretty much blew me off, giving me muscle relaxers and telling me to ice the area. It was not getting better and I couldn't sleep. I was in constant pain. Desperate for a solution, I took the recommendation of a close friend who suggested I go see Dr. Shapiro. I called the office and they told me to come in that day. My guard was up because I grew up in a house where my parents told me chiropractors were basically snake oil salesmen, but I was willing to try almost anything to get out of pain. When I got to the office, Dr. Shapiro promptly examined my spine and showed me exactly what was going on. Kaiser didn't do anything like this. I probably asked a lot more questions than the average person due to my skepticism about chiropractors, but Dr. Shapiro took the time to answer every single question with care and compassion. Not only was he thoroughly knowledgeable, he was kind as well. The best part ?? After my first adjustment that day, I was almost immediately feeling a little better! The pain had gone from an 8 to probably a 6. I went back every couple of days for the next couple of weeks with incremental improvement each time. Within a couple of weeks, the numbness in my fingers from the pinched nerve in my neck was gone. I was sleeping again. I had my life back. Dr. Shapiro healed me when Kaiser wanted to do nothing more than throw Flexeril at me and send me on my way. Not only is he a great chiropractor, he is easy to talk to and just a really good guy. I have received chiropractic care for over 50 years and have seen some very bad care, mediocre care, but rarely exceptional care. Dr. Colton is one of those Chiropractors who exceeded my expectations! He's caring, very qualified, personable and knowledgeable. After just one adjustment, he was able to treat 5-6 areas that have been chronic problems for me. One other comment: some clinics offer payment plans or "deals" if you pay a fee per month. Where have you been all my life! I've been getting chiropractic treatment for years, there was nothing wrong with my last chiropractor except for the fact he was inconveniently located. I am a member at the best gym in the universe NXPT ( see review lol) and Chiropractic group is conveniently located down the street. Dr. Stan is very knowledgeable and what I like most about him is that while he's treating, he's also teaching you so that you understand what he's doing and what's going on with your body. If he's not available the other doctors are equally as good they all have different styles so it's really personal preference. The office manager Adriana is a sweetheart, she's welcoming and very accommodating with appointments/walk ins. You may not think that you need chiropractic care but there are so many things that being seen by a chiropractor helps, for example headaches! Before seeing a chiropractor I would get headaches on a daily basis. After getting the tension relieved from the cervical vertebrae my headaches were pretty much gone. It was an amazing feeling not having a pounding headache everyday. It also helps with range of motion, One day Doctor Stan noticed that my right shoulder was stuck and the rotation was basically non existent. Wow! Dr. Stan is one of the greatest people I have ever met. Over 4 years ago a colleague of Dr. Stan's sent me to see him because I had a sciatica issue... Dr. Stan was kind, considerate, and very attentive. After a complete exam and an x-ray the curves in my spine from years of trauma were discovered. Dr. Stan put me on a plan that was carefully thought out to end my pain. My treatment was specialized for my needs and my budget. My prayer was that the pain would subside, as of today, after two years of consistent treatment and now regular checkups, I rarely have Sciatica issues. I had one, maybe two episodes over the last 18 months. I was in daily agony, Dr. Stan, THANK YOU! See... I ride a motorcycle and this does not help my issue, I am also a fan of 6 inch heels, also not idea for my type of injury. I won't go anywhere else! I was first referred to Dr. Brian about 6 or 7 years ago after I suffered from severe neck pain and migraines. I was scared and in a lot of discomfort and Dr. Brian really helped me discover the root of my pain instead of just prescribing something to mask it like other doctors had done for me in the past. It totally changed the way I live and how I listen to what my body is telling me. Being a photographer, I lug around about 50 pounds of gear most days which takes a toll on my neck and back. I regularly go to get adjusted about once a week now to maintain my wellness. I am sleeping better, the migraines and neck pain has stopped, my allergies have gotten better, my health has improved, I have more energy,... I had what I thought was "tension" in my neck and shoulders, kept thinking if I could just release some stress it'll get better... then one day while driving I turned to look for traffic and my head literally got stuck!! It was the most painful thing ever!! A massage, lots of anti-inflammatory meds, a trip to the ER, and barely any relief. A friend recommended that I give this chiro group a try, I was desperate and I walked into Dr Shapiros office. He was so patient and gentle. I had a bad experience with a chiropractor when I was much younger so to say I was nervous is an understatement! I explained to him that I was terrified and in so much pain!! He seriously fixed me!
