This wonderful establishment continues to be a driving force in my journey. Dr. Claire found me before my ACL/Meniscus surgery and prepped me for what was to come. After surgery, she listened closely to my goals and made sure to create a program that would set me up for success. A few months later, I was able to join a Masters Olympic Lifting team and have been able to compete locally, nationally and internationally, training 2-4 hours a day, 4 days a week. As I continue this journey, I get regular body work with Hannah who listens to my body, understands my angry spots and provides some great TLC so my body can continue to perform. I came to Dr. Claire after months of physical therapy with a different provider, with little to no progress. From the minute I started chatting with Dr. Claire I knew I was in the right place! She listened and understood my injury (labral tear in hip), and came up with an individualized plan targeting my injury in a uniquely holistic way. Perform PT helped me get through my first major injury. Being very involved in sports and physical fitness I've had my fair share of minor injuries. But once I tore my meniscus I knew that rehabilitating my knee would require sport specific physical therapy. I expressed my goals to Dr. Claire and we came up with a plan that met all my needs. In five months I was able to complete my rehab program, implement workouts tailored for me, and avoid surgical repair. During these five months I was also able to slowly reintegrate sports into my routine while being carefully monitored by Dr. Claire. Shortly after I suffered an injury to my ankle, and worked with Dr. Trevor who was able to get my back on feet as well. Dr. Claire is an amazing Physical therapist ! I met her walking around at a local street fair where she had a booth. I told her about my recent injury to my wrist and she acknowledged my pain and explained what was going on so easily. I went through her program to bring back the strength in my wrist and was able to get to 100% strength and function. I also started working with her for my hips due to sciatic pain and she was able to help it feel better. Dr. Claire is an amazing physical therapist! I began seeing her in 2021 for a knee injury (MCL tear) that I sustained while playing soccer and of course when I went to the doctor they said I needed surgery. I decided to go the PT route to avoid the cost of surgery and recovery time (which I'm familiar with since I've torn it once before). When I started seeing Dr. Claire I was impressed with her knowledge and 1:1 care. After just a few sessions with I was already feeling much more comfortable and confident in preparing to get back to playing again. We worked on strengthening the muscles around my knee to support it and she gave me a personal plan to keep up at the gym and at home that proved successful. I was so fortunate to have started P.T. with Dr. Claire at Perform Physical Therapy and Wellness. When I started there this summer, my legs were so weak that all of my exercises had to be done lying down or sitting. The P.T. through my medical provider focused on teaching me to walk using a walker. Dr. Claire has helped me to actually take hour long walks using just one hiking pole. When I go in for my 1x per week Therapy, Dr. Claire is focused only on me for the whole hour. She starts each session by stretching my body to relieve my sciatica. Then we work in the gym on balance exercises, strength-building activities, and flexibility. She has helped me better understand proper nutrition techniques and has given me more insight into my body's particular strengths and weaknesses than anyone on my HMO plan. Jodi is a very knowledgeable and skillful message therapist. I had painful neck, upper back, and hip tightness from working at a desk all day and by the end of the session, I felt so much more mobility and relaxation in those areas. She uses a wide range of techniques including manual massage, cupping, and hot stones. Everything she did helped me feel so much more relaxed and able to do the activities I love like rock climbing, yoga, and running. I went to Perform Physical Therapy and Wellness when I finally had enough of a psoas injury that had been recurring for the greater part of a decade. My therapist helped me pinpoint the likely original cause of that injury (very eye opening!) and put me on course to take care of it once and for all. Not only that, but when I went and injured my shoulder halfway through our block of sessions, they were able to expertly use our time together to work through both injuries simultaneously, along with putting me on a home exercise plan to support our work together. I've had an amazing experience with Perform Physical Therapy. I initially visited them for lower back pain. I'd been to numerous providers before that helped a little, but I finally learned what was causing my back problem and what I could do to make sure the problem didn't persist. I've had plenty of friends that have been to physical therapy and worked with the PT for maybe 10 minutes and then either completed their exercises alone or with an aid, but at Perform, you get an entire hour with the Physical Therapist! After physical therapy for my back, I also tried their Individualized Programming program which is essentially a 30-day tailored strength training program. I'd never really been comfortable in a gym or with lifting weights, and now it's been about 2 years since I've started the program and feel like I know my way around a gym and am considerably stronger. I saw Claire for a knee injury and a flared up calf injury that prevented me from being able to run, workout and eventually perform normal daily activities without pain. I called my doctor who proceeded to make me jump through a series of hoops that looked like I would not actually see a PT for like 6-9 mo.
