When I got back my "sharpened" knives, one of them had nicks and burrs. I don't know if you can see in the photos. The bottom part of the blade feels chewed up and rough. I had two other knives sharpened and they're not as sharp as when I've had them done with people who know what they're doing. I will only go back to see ask if they can fix the one with the nicks. After that, never again. I'm actually scared to have them touch my knife again, but it's want them to be aware of the lack of quality. If you care about your knives, call ALL SHARPENED UP (Orange County) or GARY'S KNIVES (South Bay and West Side) instead.

The pricing was very reasonable, and the turnaround was pretty quick considering everything was done during the farmers market hours. Once I got home, I put them to the test using both regular paper and facial tissue to see how cleanly they would cut. They passed both tests just fine and came back noticeably sharp. Overall, a convenient and reasonably priced sharpening service with good results. I'll definitely bring my knives back when they need sharpening again.

I had a couple of kitchen knives that needed sharpening, one a high-end knife and the other a cheap one. The owner, an elderly gentleman who gave off an aura of a supreme master of knives, carefully examined each knife and said he could sharpen both. I paid the fee and was told they would be ready in a couple days. Four days later I called and was told the knives were ready for pick up. Both were sharpened nicely, like new. The cheap knife, which originally had some damage to the blade, was repaired and looked like the day it was bought 20 years ago. We are happy to have both of these knives back in our kitchen, ready to slice away. While I was there, I asked if they had any kitchen scissors and I was shown a couple of options. The differences between them were explained so I could make the best choice. I bought a pair and have been very happy with them!

Long story short, I brought expensive shears I had bought preowned not realizing that they may have been sharpened incorrectly before so he had to fix somebody else's work. He was so kind and didn't make me feel bad about it and was overall just so pleasant to work with.
