Scruffy Duffy's looks like a traditional pub. We were greeted at the door and were told to choose where we would like to sit so we took a table near the bar and entrance. Our bartender came over right away with the menus and we assume ordered at the bar. We liked all of the wood accents and pub signs and lights. I ordered the filet mignon cheesesteak and a hard cider beer. The food took maybe 20 minutes to come out, and it was very, very fresh. My stick was tender, and the hotdog style bun was very soft and toasted inside and there was provolone cheese, red, and green peppers, as well as onions that were grilled and placed all around the steak and cheese. It was so incredibly good and the french fries are fabulous too. I will definitely eat her again. Absolutely delicious food! read more

First of all I was trying to find another place on the same street and ave 45th and 10 ave. Of course my gps stinks and I came here because the guy was nice and it had my safe foods. The place was a sports pub with a good amount of TVs. I thought about getting alcohol but not with anxiety meds too soon. He was friendly and his helper was on whatever the other guy needed. It was a sit anywhere. I sat at the bar. Cans of diet are a meh. I got there signature wings my favorite garlic Parmesan for this kind it was garlic sauce and Parmesan cheese. And the meat lovers personal pizza. I thought do as the locals do. I like it came with its own platter. The pizza was over sauce and greasy on the bottom. So it was ok nothing to write home about and definitely not worth the expense price for that crap. Next time I want to look for the Marshall and I would just go somewhere else. read more

Scruffy Duffy's has the best wings, and bar food in NYC. The food is always prepared fresh, great taste, and quality. Service is always good. The prices of food have increased dramatically. The bar, and restaurant area was dead, most likely due to the Knicks being done for the season. Nevertheless the atmosphere is always excellent, each visit I always meet great people that are either visiting from Europe or a local.w read more

Scruffy Duffy's is a hidden gem with a whole lot of personality. Whether you're out with friends, catching the game, or just need a spot that feels like your second living room--with better beer--Scruffy Duffy's hits the mark. The vibe is laid-back and unpretentious, with just enough chaos to keep things interesting. Music's bumping, TVs everywhere, and the staff is fun, fast, and no-nonsense (in the best way). I had the wings (crispy, saucy, and addictive) and split some loaded fries that disappeared way too fast. Drinks are strong and well-priced, and they don't skimp on the pour. It's not fine dining--it's fun dining. It gets busy, especially on game nights, so come early if you want a good seat. But even if it's standing room only, chances are you'll end up making new friends. Loyal local spot with character, comfort, and killer bar food. Will definitely be back! read more

Found on Yelp. Walked a bit in the rain and was rewarded with a seat at the bar, excellent service, good wings & fries and the largest Bavarian pretzel (two of them actually) ever. Place got super busy as it was a Knicks/Celtics night, but still had a TV or two (wasn't three...) tuned to hockey. Bar staff was fantastic; highly recommended if you're in the Hudson Yards / Hell's Kitchen. I'll DEF be back. read more

Lively bar with a great atmosphere. The crowd was younger - I felt like the oldest in the room at 30. But, they had a great selection of beers on tap, and we had a great time. They have some dart boards for people to play too! read more

What a cool bar with fun vibes! We were meeting friends for lunch next door on a Sunday afternoon but had some time to kill and stopped in for a drink. When we found out they were running late, we were getting hungry and ordered some onion rings. I wasn't expecting much from bar food but the onion rings were pretty good and definitely hit the spot. Plus, drink prices are reasonable, and the place feels clean. We actually ended up popping back after lunch for another drink. There was a football game going on, and the staff was playing some kind of contest to engage the crowd. If I knew about this spot back in my youth, I can definitely see it as a bar I would have frequented. read more

I wanted to start getting around the City and were best to start? Well a sports bar of course! "Scruffy Duffy''s" has been on my radar for a while now. So after some downtime at work, I walked over. Walking is the best way, driving you risk waiting for parking. The outside of the building has that old history feel and the inside matches that point. Dark wood and low lights with oldies playing in the background. It was a nice touch. The booths are high and the tables are old, but that is the charm with a place like this. One of the two bartenders came and served me and he was nice enough. He took my order and put it in quick. It was slow, so my meal came out quick. The wings looked incredible, that and a great smell of the pizza, I knew I was in trouble...the good kind. The wings were amazing! The perfect texture mixed with great sauce. I only wish the blue cheese was better. The pizza delivered as well. Great flavor, I only wish they used a little more cheese. The last negative was the price. They changed two dollars a wing. That's steep where I'm from. But they tasted so good. I think regardless of the overpriced menu, I would come back. Next I have my sights on a burger. I hope they add cheese, did I ever mention I love cheese! read more

The food is pretty good. My favorite is the chili. Their chili is nicely seasoned but not spicy so it's a nice break from making mine so I don't have to do any of the work. Their chili is my favorite thing on the menu and the homemade potato skins pair quite nicely. The burgers are quite nice but go hungry because they are big. read more

Wings are great! Good options. We got the hot (Buffalo style; hot ain't too hot, for those who like a little kick), the bbq, and the Thai chili. Beer list is decent, there is variety, which is awesome. Space was laid back and pub-esque. Bartenders also come around for table service and run food, though we were in at 545p when it was empty. Def started filling out as the night went on. Would def come back! read more

Lots of TVs for sports watching and they seem more than happy to switch to a particular game you request, if it's not already on. Very large draft beer selection, with many local New York breweries (though they seem to all be IPAs). However, a limited food menu that is a bit hit-or-miss. Traditional Wings w/ Garlic Parm Sauce: For all the bragging they do about their house wing sauces, they're just ok. The wings themselves were nice and crispy, almost like Korean Fried Chicken. The garlic parm was quite garlicky and dusted with parmesan cheese. Tasted nice by itself, but got overpowered in the bleu cheese dip. Also, only option is an 8 wing order, which feels kinda skimpy. Buffalo Nachos w/ Medium Sauce: A much heartier option than the wings. Nacho chips with a cheese blend baked on, like regular bar nachos, but that's the only commonality. These had large chunks of shredded chicken tossed in a traditional wings sauce. Plus loads of ranch dressing drizzled on. And some some small celery bits and scallions. Also, bleu cheese dressing on the side if the ranch isn't enough for you. Since I've had tons of Mexican-inspired bar nachos over the years, it was nice to have something more original. read more

Honestly if you described my experience here on a Sunday night I wouldn't believe you. We must have been there at the same time as the short kingz bar crawl because these little fellas were all over the place. They even had a can of Lysol disinfectant spray they let me borrow. Great spot to watch sports. They had on the ALS games, Sunday night football, and even a soccer match. Good classic sports pub with a fun crown interaction. Buffalo Chicken Sandwich was mid and they ran out of pop. Would probably come again though. read more

Great place to go with large groups of people or for a nice night out in NYC. I came here with one of my girlfriends. There is outdoor seating. We ordered the boneless chicken wings and onion rings, which were pretty decent for bar food. After eating, we enjoyed a round of darts inside. There is also a pool table inside the bar and great music. They had a selective variety of music, mostly songs that are currently popular in the mainstream regardless of the genre. The only experience I did not like was the service. Our server smelled like alcohol and forgot to serve our water then pretended like we never mentioned we wanted a beverage. Maybe he forgot to tend to us because we were sitting outside and not within the workers' purview. Still not a good excuse for poor service. read more

Great neighborhood-commercially type bar, was not too crowded. Good beer selection and awesome options on the menu. What we ordered: Medium wings 8pc Garlic parm wings 8pc French fries Medium wings could have used more sauce, but they were hot and fresh. Garlic Parm wings were out of this world and we ended up dipping our fries in them. French fries were the freshest I've had in a while. While waiting for our food we played the basketball game and watched the football game in TV. Cool spot! read more

After reading the reviews I thought it was a shame I've never been there! I live two blocks from SD's. However, reading how you respond to customers made me realize I dodged a bullet. If you have that attitude then for sure it'll go down to your beleaguered staff. Of course they didn't come back...how much do you underpay them? If you were a decent manager, they would have done it out of respect. I left the hospitality field when I was 26 - with 10 years experience. I was trained in formal service. With that knowledge you can relax the service but you can't go up, without studying. I know what I'm talking about. You, Sir, would do everyone a service if you began your next phase. I wish you best wishes in your next adventure. read more
