My experience with Scrubco of Wayne, IL. The first time they cleaned my home I has at home sitting in my office and the girls just walked right in without ringing the doorbell! I was very shocked by this as I had never used this company before. There were 3 women whom they sent to clean non of them spoke English very well so, trying to communicate with them was not easy. I showed them around the house and they went to work. After they were done I had noticed that the master bathroom was not cleaned. They had not cleaned the faucets or several large mirrors in the bathroom. I had them reclean the bathroom I asked if she had cleaned the floors and she stated that she did but I personally never saw them use my floor cleaner. I had told the owner that I only want them to use my Vacuum and floor cleaner in my home. This was not communicated to the women as they showed up with their vacuum. I stopped them before they brought it into our home, stating to them no, I don't want other people's dirt in our home. Before they arrived the second time I called again and asked if they could please make sure that the women are aware that I want my vacuum, and mop used not the one they bring. Shannon, who answers the phone stated to me that this would be taken care of. I informed her that I did not want my Husband trying to communicate to them because I would not be home. Our second experience was worse than the first! We only had them do a partial cleaning of our home basically the rooms we use every day. My husband had to go out for the day so, the women were left to clean our home. According to Shannon, this is their best team! Well, I would hate to see what the worst team is like. They did not vacuum the main living area of our home there was hair on the floor in our master bath, the toilet was not scrubbed, the sink counters in the master were not clean the kitchen counters were not clean, none of the rooms were dusted it was as if no one had been there to clean! My husband called me when he arrived home asking me did they come and clean? because it sure does not look like it. I called Shannon when I arrived home to inform her of our findings when we arrived home. She never did call me back! I had to call her again the next morning. I stated to her that I had taken pictures of our home before leaving to make sure that they did clean this time. I asked her to have the owner call me as I would like for him to come and see our home. She stated to me that the women had a full schedule today and that they could not come back today. I asked her to refund my money and she said we will refund your money and you can find another cleaning company! NICE CUSTOMER SERVICE! I have used scrubco for my gutter cleaning for the past few years. They come out twice a year and do an outstanding job. Using ladders they clean out the gutters and bag all the debris. They even cleaned off the roof debris that would have come down into my gutter eventually. Last year I tried someone new who used a leaf blower to blow out the gutters. Roughly same price but all the debris goes all over the place and I my plantings next to the house which I have to clean Back to scrubco again this year for me. I bought a usb camera with a long cord and was able to see the job they did on my highest gutters. They were spotless. If you need your gutters cleaned I would highly recommend using scrubco. I do not have gutter guards and get ait more than just leaves. read more

Not sure why I bothered the third time but I finally talked to a lady who acted like she was dong ME a favor by even taking my call. She said she would send over someone to quote the job, and (shocker) no one ever showed up...or called to follow up for that matter. Note to the owners - you are in the SERVICE business. I contacted Scrubco to schedule carpet cleaning services. The representative responded quickly via email. We discussed the job size and pricing, and things were moving along. Then I mentioned a special they had posted on their website. The rep acted as if she knew nothing about it, and informed me that she would have to check with her manager to get approval to honor the price. We used Scrub Co originally for about a year to clean our home. Like other reviewers it began decently ( depending on the team)but , with time , the quality of the work went way down and things began to mysteriously break during their visits without any acknowledgement or apology when I'd call about it. I stopped using them. 3 yrs later I was in a bind with an unexpected house guest, so I decided to give them another try hoping that maybe things had changed. Same issue. Many broken items, carpet stain etc ... Update: After an uncomfortable phone call and some negotiating, we were told that we would not have to pay our bill. I am glad we did. 3 well equipped cleaning staff come to our home and spend 2 hours cleaning it top to bottom. They even fold the toilet paper ends like a hotel does. My parents have used scrubco for years and the experience has generally been ok. Unfortunately, after moving back to the area, our experience has been generally awful. Miscommunication and bait and switch pricing seem to be the norm. We used them for window cleaning when we first moved in and the team (a man and a woman) did a great job. They counted the windows and everything lined up, so we booked them again 6 months later. This time, the woman on the phone told us one price, and then when the same team handed us the bill, it was $45 higher. After a call to the home office, the price was lowered. It was apparent that the quality of cleaning had dropped off with this visit. Recently, we decided to give them one last chance on the window cleaning, how could our experience be so negative? An appointment was made with a woman named Shannon and we waited for them to show up.... they never did. We contacted Shannon and she apologized, saying she is great about these things and remembers making the appointment, but must not have written it down. We asked for them to make it right, because we had a birthday party for our son coming up that weekend. At this point Shannon started laughing on the phone and said she will see what she can do. She called back and told us there was nothing she can do, they aren't coming. She stated that we had yelled at her window cleaners the last time (false, we had pointed out a pricing error politely. An error that as not our doing) and she brought up that there was a payment discrepancy after the last visit, again... not our issue. She then accused us of threatening her by telling her that since it was her mistake, not writing down the appointment, that she needs to make it right. As for the cleaning...for the most part I'd give them a B+. It depends on the team and it depends on how much direction you give. I hate to post negative things but I do not want my neighbors to be treated poorly by businesses. I have used SCRUB CO to clean our house for 5 years. We have had numerous problems. First, they stole from us -- but "apologized" and tried to rectify the situation by reimbursing us for the loss and putting another team at our house. I gave them another chance. Then, they ruined a dresser of ours -- but said it was our fault. They said that they would try to "color in" the holes they made. They "forget" to clean walls and stairs. Customer service is horrible there -- they said outright that it is about their business and not the customer! They absolutely can not be trusted! DO NOT USE SCRUB CO! read more

They were great the first two cleanings then everything went downhill. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and had them keep coming thinking maybe it was a fluke. The quality of cleaning just kept getting worse. They don't like to clean under or on top of anything. Didn't clean under or behind chairs, under beds, under dressers, under or on top of armoir, didn't dust on top of door frames, on top of fans, or dust corners of rooms. I complained about cob webs still being there and they still didn't clean them! Didn't clean mold under faucet in tub.... They had to have not cleaned it multiple times for mold to develop in a year old tub! They just make your house look clean at a quick glance but in reality it's not clean at all! The worst part was they must have moved our fridge and knocked the cords lose. It turned our freezer off and we didn't realize it until it was too late. We lost all of our food!! This means their family name is on the line motivating them to vet their employees better and train them to take pride in their work. The girls are very friendly and the team leader always speaks english. I have an inconsistant schedule and Cindy is great at accomodating me. Last week, one of the women found a diamond stud earring given to me for my wedding anniversary and placed it on my nightstand where I would be sure to see it. I had forgotten that I had put the pair there, and luckily after a quick search was able to find the other one. At first the service was great. Good price for a monthly cleaning $120. Staff was polite and friendly. After a couple times at my home, I began to notice less and less attention to detail. The bottom around my toilets at the base was always missed. Rarely did they do a complete job of cleaning the floor behind my toilets. They didn't wipe down light plates or the surrounding areas where fingerprints accumulate. They missed wiping down banisters, doorknobs, window sills etc. They ruined my bath mats by getting bleach on them. They ruined a picture frame I decorated. They often left wall hangings and sconces crooked and unstable on my walls. And they used a cleaner that turned my toilet seat blue. When I addressed these issues they did try to make it right by deducting money from my payment. But one time after doing so I got a curt text message asking me to pay the difference. Apparently Kyle the owner didn't convey the discount to his wife Shannon who handles payment. The point is that if you want to do business with a disorganized cleaning service that sends different teams each time to your home and if you want a hit or miss cleaning job then go with ScubCo.
