I can really tell the Screen Mobile screens apart from my old screens, they look tighter and just better all around.

The construction of Zen windows had a superior quality than the other windows we interviewed. Installation by Marcos and his crew was efficient and professional. Window installation was quick, while making a difficult job look easy. While selecting for a window company can be daunting, we searched through the internet for window ratings and found Provia Endure Windows to be highly rated. Lifetime warranty for the windows and installation also were deciding factors for us. Curb appeal, value, comfort plus improving energy-efficiency and security added value to our house. 38 windows replaced by Zen Windows.

I'm a first-time homebuyer and purchased my house in March 2021. While the house was in great…read morecondition and had recently been renovated, it still had the original wooden windows that were installed when the house was built in the 1950's. While I appreciated their history, classic look and the fact that they were still in good shape, it was clear they needed to be updated. I contacted several window companies around town, both local and national establishments. After being put off by some of the high pressure, in person sales tactics other places had, I found the approach that Brian and his team at Zen Windows very refreshing. I also saw that they were voted Best in Charlotte by Charlotte Magazine in 2020, and I wanted to support a local business if I could. Brian was very generous with his time, and it only took a few phone calls with him and a quick visit from his installer to get measurements for them to have all the information they needed. I was impressed with how simple and straightforward the process was. Another huge selling point was that I wouldn't have to pay anything until the job was complete, a big difference from other companies. The turnaround took about three months for the windows to be built, but I would chalk that up to COVID, supply chain issues and increased demand for home projects because of the pandemic rather than anything on Zen's end. Quoted turnaround times at other businesses were similar. Once the windows were ready, Zen sent a simple three man crew to my home to perform the installation. Each gentleman on the crew probably had 30-40 years of window installation themselves, so as a team they were pretty capable. In just two quick morning sessions, my windows were complete! I'm extremely happy with the end result. The windows are fantastic, incredibly easy to use, they look great (black exterior FTW), and I can already tell they perform much better than the old ones. Brian and his team did an outstanding job, and I would recommend them to anyone looking to upgrade their windows!

We had over 15 workers in our home on day 1 from 8:30am - 7:30pm. The main installer couldn't keep track of that many people and we had personal items, trash and damage left behind. When I inquired about the severe damage to a Japanese Maple, I was told it was my fault as I didn't relocate the tree or trim/cover it properly. Note, no one told me about the damage. It was noticed a few days after the job was completed and it was obvious someone took the broken branches off site so they knew what had happened. The sales rep also didn't seem to be aware of what was happening even though she told us she would be onsite for the installation. Not true. She came on day 2 and stayed for under 2 hours. Never came back to check on the completed work. I do not recommend this company.

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS FRANCHISE!!! In March 2024 we paid over $80,000 upfront for complete window…read morereplacement. *The sales rep and his supervisor GUARANTEED the installation would be done from the exterior due to the fact that my husband has a lung condition. *We were guaranteed there would be no mess and that our custom window trim would not be removed and our sheet rock would not be damaged. *We were guaranteed that the installation crew were certified and trained Pella installers that would install 4-5 windows a day. *We were guaranteed that a Pella representative would walk us through the process and be with us every step of the way. *We were guaranteed they would respect and take care of our property and belongings. But INSTEAD, all of this was a lie! *A "smash and dash" crew was sent to our house in March and they ripped out 9 windows within the first hour before I could go in the house to see what was going on! *They destroyed our custom molding, installed a large window without shims, screws, foam insulation or moisture repellant tape. And then hurried to trim it out with molding so that no one would no! *They did not cover any of our belongings or protect the solid wood floors or 100% wool rugs. Sheet rock dust EVERYWHERE!!! *There were installed with over 1" tolerance yet Pella preaches that their installation would be brick to brick and no more than 1/4-1/2" tolerance . So they "fudged it" with foam insulation and covered the gap in trim to hide it. *There were multiple windows not centered. *There were windows ordered over 2" too small. No one in installation checked behind the salesmen's measurements (Which their policy is to "out two sets of eyes on everything!" *My husband was displaced out of his home for 4 months due to sheet rock dust and had to sleep on the couch in his shop for months due to his lung condition. *The crews were very unreliable in that they would drop in to work here and there over a 4 month period making it impossible to plan vacations; we could not have anyone over (including grandsons) because our home was destroyed with plastic drapes over everything and hanging from the ceilings...(which was ridiculous because they already put sheet rock dust over our entire house and furnishings! *We are treated like we are to blame and were constantly ghosted by Pella support teams. And now 4 months later as they are finishing up replacing the final window and trim work we get word that Pella is refusing to pay a painter to sand, fill, caulk and paint the new trim work and repair the sheet rock damage!! (Estimated at $5000) Pella asked me to get an estimate and now that they see the magnitude of the damages they are refusing to pay the painter due to the fact that the material is factory primed! Do not fall for anything their sales reps promise you. I was told by Pella Installation Team Members that the Sales Team Members say whatever they want to get the job contract! I have hundreds of photos and videos of the damage as well as these Pella employees going at it Pella Sales vs Pella Installation. (And yes I let them know I was videoing them talk.) Lies are lies....whether you tell them on the job or in your personal life. Shame on the owner of this company for allowing these business practices! Do not do business with Pella of the Carolinas out of Charlotte and High Point NC!

The initial estimate was 12-14 weeks due to "Covid" but it only took 8 weeks. The installers showed up earlier than the scheduled appointment, no issues as I was working from home that day, and got right to work removing my old windows and installing the new ones. The prices were a bit higher than I had anticipated, but the quality of the windows is superior compared to the original windows. Plus the warranty is great. Now only 20 more windows to go. Absolute garbage company. Joe walked us through everything,…read morewe signed the contract, completed final measurements, and were ready to move forward. Their team even cut into our drywall and left nail holes in our door frame--so the process was clearly underway.Then... nothing. No communication whatsoever. We were told installation would take 6-8 weeks. At the 6-week mark, we had to call for an update--only to be told by Nick, with zero accountability or concern, that the job had been "undersold." Our options? Either pay double the agreed-upon signed price or cancel altogether. To make matters worse, we were told Joe "should have" contacted us--meaning if we hadn't called, they would have continued holding our money while saying nothing. Nick's dismissive, unapologetic attitude made it clear this isn't unusual for them, which is even more concerning. Now we're left with: no sliding glass door, a damaged wall, a damaged door frame, and a completely broken customer experience. If I could give 0 stars, I would.

They came out 2 years ago, to pitch their windows...claiming they were top of the line, and when we told the salesman we needed to sleep on it, and get some other quotes. Apparently that was unacceptable, he became very pushy, aggressive, and rude. Since that first visit we have received endless junk mail from them, never ending. I have called multiple times and asked them to remove us from their mailing list. I have retuned mail to sender many times asking them to remove us...but it keeps coming. And now they send them without a return address, so I can even send the back I wish I had read their reviews and check BBB before contacting them. Needless to say all interactions them have left a very bad impression on us. In the end we picked another company and had great success. PLEASE READ PART 1 THIS IS PART 2: By this time I had found…read moreonline the installation instructions for the lock and printed those for my husband. He went to the local hardware store that is less than a mile from our house and picked up several size screws. DJ at first told me he could give me the installers phone number. HELLO!?! Are you serious? Once he understood that was not an option DJ asked me to send him a picture of the door area in question and maybe he could find a spec sheet. So I sent pictures via text. He then replies and I quote "try pulling the handle up on the inside specifically while someone tries to open from the outside afterwards. The inside handle when lifted up while shut, should lock the other two deadbolts up high and down low. And shouldn't allow those to be opened from the outside. I sent him a video via text showing him that the door would latch but not lock. Matter of fact it latched so loosely that you could push the door open with a gentle push of your hand. We went back and forth via text several more times including a text saying he had contacted the installer and he was already back to his home and couldn't come back. A few more texts and he finally sends me the instructions to install the lock but still no specs. Actually it was the same thing I had found an hour earlier and my husband was using to install the lock. Still more going back and forth via text and finally my husband was able to get the lock installed and we were able to secure our home. A very stressful afternoon indeed. On Monday, October 13th I received a call from a lady in Charlotte office concerning my voicemail I left on Saturday. I do commend her, she had done her homework and knew that my husband had been able to install the lock, She scheduled another tech to come to our home on Thursday, October 16th to check the install of the lock. We were very glad he did as the main lock would engage but the installer failed to install the extra top and bottom locks to work. It took him all of 5 minutes. As I vented to the tech I advised him that we needed some type of compensation for what we were put through. A day or so later the lady from the Charlotte office calls me again and asked if I was satisfied and if everything was good. I vented to her again, and I also told her that we needed to be reimbursed for the stress that their installer had put us under. I also told her that I have supervised many individuals in my career and if that installer worked for me he would be fired on the spot for: 1. Sucking the time clock while he sat on his phone the majority of time that he was here. 2. For not going to the hardware store less than a mile away, which he had to pass coming and going from our house. 3. For leaving us with our home insecure. Making us wonder if this was a planned set up for an opportunity to come back to our home with bad intentions, if you catch my drift. The lady in the Charlotte office said they had talked about sending us a $100 gift card for our trouble. WOW! REALLY? I just purchased an $8,000+ door and you are going to give me a $100? Shame on you Renewal by Anderson!! As of today we still haven't received any gift card, nor heard from the sales rep DJ or anyone else from the Charlotte office/door division. Yet they keep sending me auto generated emails to take survey about my experience which I have completed multiple times. So, upon receipt of yet another auto generated survey I felt it was time I shared our story with any of you looking to make a purchase from Renewal by Anderson. Be forewarned! Great quality but make sure you get a good installer!!! AND THAT THEY LEAVE ONLY AFTER YOUR HOME IS SECURE!
