Donald J. - April 15, 2026 - Clover, SC…read more My reason to contact My Shower Door in Charlotte, NC, was to replace a complete builder grade shower enclosure in my home. The shower door was wearing out due to the shower door hinges failing. The glass that the builder choose had also needed to be replaced. Since all enclosures are custom made it does take a little more time but the finished product fit perfectly and the short wait well worth a quality product.company. The installation staff were very careful to do a great job of installation and showed me how to care for the glass to insure good appearance and a shower door that will provide many years of service. We had an excellent experience with Champion Fence and highly recommend them. From start to finish,…read moretheir team was professional, responsive, and excellent at communicating throughout the entire process. We had several specific requests, including a particular fence style, a less commonly available height, one motorized sliding gate, and one manual gate. We received quotes from two other companies, but Champion Fence was the only one able to accommodate everything we wanted while still offering competitive pricing. The installation was especially challenging because approximately three-quarters of the fence had to be installed across heavily wooded, hilly, and uneven areas of our property. Despite these conditions, their team completed the fence quickly, and we are extremely pleased with the results. We would highly recommend Champion Fence to anyone looking for quality work and dependable service. Special thanks to Vann, Kim, Brandon, and Karlin!

This is a brand new home, so dealing with repeated garage door issues from the start was already…read morefrustrating. Unfortunately, the experience working with Southern Fireplace made it worse. From the original walkthrough, the main garage door did not close properly. A technician came out and "adjusted the sensors," which temporarily fixed it. A few weeks later, the smaller garage door had the same issue and required another adjustment. Then the problem returned again with the main door. The issue was eventually resolved, but only after three separate visits where they continued tightening and adjusting the sensors. While it did get fixed, it took far too long and did not feel like a thorough or proactive diagnosis, especially for a brand new home. The biggest issue, however, was my interaction with Heather. She stated that if the issue persisted after replacement, any additional work would be billable. Beyond that, her communication was extremely unprofessional. I was repeatedly talked over during the conversation, and at one point she abruptly said she had to go and rushed me off the phone. The tone was dismissive and not customer-focused at all. Frankly, based on this experience, Heather should not be in a customer-facing role. Now, we are dealing with a separate issue with our pilot light. They have already come out once, but given the prior experience, especially the way communication was handled, I have been hesitant to reach out again, even though the home is still under warranty. While the garage door issue was eventually fixed, the overall experience, particularly the lack of professionalism in communication, left a very negative impression. If you have a choice, I would recommend going somewhere else, unless you are comfortable being talked to and treated in a condescending manner by their staff.

Third job: (Last fall) paid for manual pulling/removal of Bermuda grass from garden beds, plus weed control and mulch. Emphasis on manual removal - explicitly was told they would pull all the Bermuda out manually to get all the roots out. Took a bit of chasing around to get them to actually get it on the books, and then when they did come they just buzzed everything with a string trimmed and sprayed weed killer over that. We agreed to still pay the full price on the condition that Gairy would send a team out in the spring once the Bermuda woke up and inevitably came through the mulch since it wasn't removed. He agreed, and we left it at that. Flash forward to this year and has completely ghosted us and been non-responsive. Even tried asking about having a bunch of other services added so that it wouldn't be a totally free trip, but still No luck. We finally gave up on any hope of getting the promised services, hired Mr. Outdoor Living, dropped like $4K on services with them instead and will be sticking with them next year when we do a sprinkler system and stone retaining walls.
