It's taken me a while to write a review. I had my blinds installed in September of 2022. I was skeptical to use a smaller company but this family business was great to me. Sarah and Jeff coordinated my home visit and Sarah came out and measure ALL of my windows. I had a home built which was 5 bedroom and none of the windows in my home including kitchen, loft dinning, all bedrooms etc. had any blinds. They did my entire home including my vertical blinds leading out to my patio and decorative shades in the master and it was a great process. I had a wonderful experience with Jeff and Sarah. They set up a time for a consultation promptly after I reached out to them. Sarah showed up right on time with tons of pictures, Information and options. She didn't make me feel like she was just trying to sell me something but genuinely wanted to make sure we ended up with what best suited us. Jeff showed up for install day and within an 1 1/2 hours he had all 9 blinds and 6 shades installed perfectly. They were wonderful to go through the process with and extremely personable. This meant getting estimates and weighing options based on our specific desires. Jeff, Owner of Blind & Shutter Depot, came to our house, personally measured every window, made suggestions, double checked with us, ordered AND then personally and professionally installed our shutters. Jeff did my entire last house of 22 windows and part of my current house with shutters. Between both, I've spent over $10,000. All was good until the set for my front room was not what I ordered. He said it was the manufacturer's error, took them home and tried to fix them instead of re-ordering. When they were re-installed the pins kept falling out. After several, no-show and no phone calls when we had set times to fix them, he came and agreed they should be replaced. I first ordered last August and 10 months later, I still do not have what I ordered. He admitted he "didn't do right" by me and said he re-ordered the shutters. He will not return phone calls or answer messages. I've requested a refund as I do not wish to do business with him anymore. He used to do good work, but I made the mistake of paying before everything was as I ordered. read more

Unfortunately, my experience with Blind and Shutter Depot was sub optimal, but this was not the fault of the company itself. The manufacturer used behind the scenes delivered on their promises for initial delivery, but their customer services post sale was absolutely atrocious. To be fair, I cannot fault the Blind and Shutter Depot for this - we all choose business partners that we regret, and Jeff was great to work with despite the poor situation. In continuing conversations with Jeff after the fact, they have terminated their relationship with the manufacturer. I look forward to continuing to work with him and his organization. read more
