Erik and the team did two jobs for us. They put a shade in my office that was really cool. There was a full dark shade for my dog who has a pen in that room and then a lighter shade to stop my from sizzling in the afternoon. They are beautiful and functional. They also did my porch screens. We added some awesome new features and they customized the solution for my porch including fixed screens where the motors didn't make sense. After ignoring our budget set for buying our home, i figured we needed to put up good blinds. Carolina Blind Crafters was easy to work with from appraisal to installation. Despite a missed window in the estimate, they charged cost for the one they missed which worked out for me. We went with some honeycomb top down, bottom up blinds (a few blackout ones for the bedroom) which are pricey but seemed comparable to Lowe's based on my estimates...but i figured you'll have them forever. Unless you have a stupid cat who likes to chew on them... Anywho, the installer guy is really friendly and during the initial installation, there was one blind that was a little uneven and without prompting he let me know that they would be replacing that one. During the installation, listen to their recommendation that not every window needs to be top down as well. It'll save a little money anyway..although, i don't know that i would have predicted utilizing the top down in the windows i do. I recommend Carolina Blind Crafters, but next time i would probably just choose cheaper blinds especially with asshole pets in the house. read more

Blinds! What a wonderful thing. Imagine buying a home full of windows, and not noticing that 90% of them don't have blinds. And then imagine the first night in that new home and noticing your blindless windows for the first time and thinking about how important privacy is and how much you wish you had it. That's the story of my life, dude. But thankfully, CBC was so good. They were easy to work with, quick to respond to phone calls and emails, and fast at turning our dreams of blinds-covered windows into a reality. Their prices were fair, and the finished product looks fantastic. Customer service sometimes seems like a dying art, but CBC provides excellent customer service and then some. I'd recommend CBC to anyone looking to get new window treatments or to enhance their existing ones (they can make valances for your existing windows, too!). read more

My Husband and I used Carolina Blind Crafters for blinds in our new home. We received a coupon in the mail for a "New Homeowner Special" the deal ($50/window, any size) sounded almost too good to be true. We thought there would at least be some additional charge for the consultation or installation. Michelle our salesperson, was on time, very nice, and explained all of our options, including the blinds that were on sale. We decided to go with the new homeowner special in our upstairs windows, and plantation shutters in the downstairs windows. We were pleasantly surprised that there was in fact, no extra fee for the consultation or installation. Our blinds arrived in about two weeks, as promised, and Ed came out to install them. We are very impressed with the quality, especially for the price we paid for them. The valance that comes with them really makes the window look polished. Our shutters took a little longer (about a month) but were worth the wait!! We went with the composite shutters, and I am so happy we did. They are so beautiful, and if they hadn't told me otherwise, I would have thought they were real wood shutters! I have already recommended this company to my new neighbors, and would recommend them to anyone else looking for quality window treatments at a great price. read more
