Horribly slow customer service. Took them 8 days to respond to my request for new blinds & that was a phone call stating "I could meet you today." Like WHAT? I had plans- you need to actually schedule services, not just call & tell prospective clients that you're available. I had already chosen another company by the time Monroe Blinds called me back. (Thank God for Budget Blinds!!!!) That company called me back mere hours after I called them & set up to meet at my residence the very next day, not 8 days like Monroe Blinds! They did the blinds for my home over 10 years ago. I called them for a repair and they told me to bring them in and they'll fix them. I remembered that they said lifetime service and they meant it. Juan at Monroe blinds did an excellent job in supplying top quality blinds for my new home. He came out within a couple of days from my initial call. He was able to give me an estimate right there on the spot and he told me he would be back within a week to install the new blinds. A couple of days later he called me to say that he knew I wanted the job done quickly so he put in some overtime and got my blinds done and scheduled to come out that night! From initial call to installation was 4 days! Not only that but the quality of the product and the quality of his work was outstanding. We had a large half moon window in one of the bedrooms and the previous window dressing was a paper fan that was glued in place. Juan installed a frame for the blinds and the blinds were made of the same material the other blinds are. On top of that the blinds open and close as the others do! The price he provided would've been hard to beat elsewhere and the quality of the nice wood blinds we received were excellent. Monroe blinds was easy to work with and our blinds came out fantastic. Juan was very diligent about measuring and making sure our order was correct (nice perk after just going through a build that seemed to have mistakes everyday). They met our deadline and were actually early! We were able to save money by using regular blinds in the area's of the house that we don't use often. The faux plantation look amazing and since we have a craftsman style house we left off the trim and they match our look perfectly. One suggestion from a friend has worked out great. In certain rooms ( ex. kitchen, window in closet) where you may not want the blind open all the time but want the light, they can customize where the break is. Juan of Monroe Blinds was awesome to work with. We wanted wood shutters on all our windows of our new home. We called and met with several "national" companies which all said our windows were too large for single panel shutters. Since we have had single panel shutters in the past we kept looking. Juan had left his business card in our mailbox while doing other jobs in our neighborhood so we called. He came right out and wanted to show us the type of shutters he makes at his shop in Monroe even though they were not what we were looking for. We visited his shop twice; which is topnotch for a locally owned business. He makes vinyl shutters and blinds on premises. We still wanted single panel shutters so Juan was able to get them for us. Within 4 weeks they were ready and Juan and his crew came out and installed all 19 customs shutters in about 2hrs. Beautiful is the best way to describe the workmanship and product.
